Chip n Dale - more info on sidewalk from CBR

How far is the walk from CBR to the BW? Directions are take crosswalk from behind Aruba and then sidewalk to BW, right? What is the Reedy Creek Station? Thanks.

I never thought it was there before, but the other day I was stopped at the light, and noticed there is a crosswalk from CBR to the Reedy Creek fire station.

You'll have to walk through some trees and stuff to get to the sidewalk. It's on the corner of Buena Vista Drive and Victory Way. There's actually no 'sidewalk' on that side... Just a cement slab, with a crosswalk sign that controls the lights.

Once you're at the Reedy Creek station, there is a sidewalk that will take you to the Boardwalk area.

Thanks Chip n Dale. If you had to estimate the distance for that walk would you say closer to 1 mile or 2.

I thought Disney discouraged Pedistrians on any of the roadways.

Wow! Thanks for the shot. You can't get better than that. My DH likes to run several miles every morning and although CBR will be nice for that he wanted me to look for other sidewalks. I'll sent him out to check it first before I take the walk. Thanks again.

The picture makes it look longer than it is... It has a sidewalk, and crossing guard lights, so it's safe. What we frown upon is the actual walking IN the roadway.

What I find funny is that Disney Built the Sidewalk down BVD then crosses the Street by the Fire Station and Justs Ends at that Point. Also there maybe a Fence around the CBR so you may have go out the Back Gate by Jamica (or the front Entrance), then walk down the on the grass to this sidewalk/Crosswalk area.

You should get a Pulitzer prize for that map! (Or whatever is given in the field of cartography. How about a Magellan prize?) From what site do you get your aerials?

For what it's worth, I'd say somewhere between 1.25 and 1.5 miles; certainly nowhere near 2 miles. The Boardwalk parking lots give a sense of the scale. The walk from Epcot to MGM is about 1.25 miles and this looks about the same distance.

So basically, if we're standing at the Aruba Bus stop at Carribean Beach, we'd just walk toward the road. I think I remember it from last time and there were only a few small shrubberies that actually formed a path. (a path! a path!) {Hopefully someone will know about forming shrubbery paths} And cross the street the fire station? That seems simple enough. We won't get in trouble for walking through the shrubbery?
Being that my dad's a firefighter, I actually wanted to visit Reedy Creek, but never knew how to get there without a car.
