Have them, yes.Does anyone know if they have the chip card readers in the park yet?
As a guest, why does this matter?

Well its not all that secure 3 years ago just a few days before our trip the wife's new cc came (new all together not a reissue of an existing account) she used it one time with the chip and it was breached. We found out a fee days before the trip when she went to use the card to pay for something for the tripThe chip card when used creates a one time code for transaction approval that lessens the risk of fradulant activity.

Sure wish I could determine how that is. I stick the card in the machine and the transaction is approved, no interaction needed from me. How is that more secure than a swipe? Anyone could use that card, chip or swipe. I feel the MB is more secure. At least it needs a PINThe chip card when used creates a one time code for transaction approval that lessens the risk of fradulant activity.
OK, I keep hearing about how behind the times the US is with regards to chip cards, I just assumed no other countries had the magnetic stripes.
Hard to be too impressed with early-adoption of technology. We're so behind. When I went to Europe in 2009 everyone used chip cards

I think the chips' ability to be dramatically more secure than, well, anything else, is in reality, less than substantial.
Hyperbolic statements notwithstanding, in the end, if scammers want to scam, they'll find a way to scam.
When the chips first came out, they were touted as "all that" but now, they look to be (for the most part) "ho hum."

I'm sure Disney will enable the chip readers eventually. The vendor that made the old custom CC terminals is (apparently) out of business, so Disney is replacing all of them. All that said, I'm really surprised Disney hasn't gotten on-board with the shift to EMV.
Maybe they have so many using MB instead of Credit Cards isn't not a priority? All that said, I'm really surprised Disney hasn't gotten on-board with the shift to EMV. The payment card industry has shifted costs for fraud onto merchants with the advent of EMV, perhaps Disney is playing the odds and doesn't have enough fraudulent activity at the parks to be too concerned.
