Latest forecasts show temperatures in the low 40s both Friday and Saturday morning. Friday will probably be the chilliest afternoon, with the high around 60. Temperatures will moderate Saturday afternoon and Sunday and into early next week.

that's okay with me. I woke up to 25 this morning and it's supposed to be a high of 17 tomorrow but we will be in Florida! :cool1:

I've been watching it and it's warmer than here in South Carolina, so that's what count! I found that a lightweight jacket, long sleeved shirt, and jeans worked this morning, that was in the high 30's when I left the house and will be in the 60's during the day. So, I think that's what I'll pack for next week! (Along with some short sleeved shirts and one pair of just in case shorts).

Keep in mind that on the World Showcase side of EPCOT, that wind will get pretty chilly at those temperatures. I plan on a windbreaker to layer this Friday evening.

We'll be camping (Tent Camping) at Ft. Wilderness next week. As is our custom, we always take jackets with us to the parks in the winter. If we don't need them, we either stuff them in the back pack, or, get a locker. It's better to have that fall back rather than be miserable.

I went camping in Tampa last February, the high temps ranged like this. 40, 80, 40, 80, 40. You never can tell in Florida.

The weather is sort of all over the place for the upcoming week depending on where you look.

I'll be packing a variety of things but mostly pants/capris and lightweight tops and a jacket.

This morning it was 17 degrees, so even 40's and 50's sound pretty nice!! However, I know it will be even warmer next week. I arrive Saturday and can't wait!!!

For us, it looks perfect, really. We'll be coming from the frigid north, so the Friday temp in Orlando will mean we can easily dress appropriate to both areas (minus a heavy winter coat in Orlando, of course).

Saturday should be near 70, while the rest of the week is solidly in the 70's range. So everything should be just great.

Coming back will still be a big shock, though! 75 at MCO and 45 at ORD! (Could be worse...could be 15 at ORD that day! :rotfl2: )

I am coming from he opposite opinion as most of you....I am from Southern California and the weather in Orlando sounds SO cold to me. I started packing last night and made sure to bring lots of sweaters, jackets, hats, gloves, and scarves. I plan on layering at night to cut down on the chill factor. At least it will be cool enough for lots of hot cocoa and cookies during MVMCP! I actually like the colder weather better during he holiday...it puts me in a very Christmas-ey mood! I am leaving tomorrow night on a red eye..can't wait !

From the Florida daily weather discussion website:

The associated strong cold front will scream through the Florida region December 7, 2006 bringing a hard freeze to the north and around freezing central on Saturday morning December 9, 2006.

It does appear that this airmass will break some minimum temperature records across the north early Saturday morning.

10 here today for all us Chicago area folks!! I arrive on the 18th and will look forward to being outside to anything other than the weather we are having today :sunny:

I am sitting here looking out my window and watching it snow. I can't wait to get to WDW. We check in on the 16th. The temperature doesn't bother me, so long as it doesn't rain also. Being wet at those temperatures will be miserable.

Hmm thats the weather we had last year when we arrived on a Sat (Dec 10 2005) Good to hear it looks like it will be in the 70's. Anything is better than the winter storm warning I am under that was just extended to midnight!

Ehhh..that is not so bad. It is going to be in the 20's around here when we leave and in the 50's when we land which is still a 30 degree temp difference. It looks like it will be in the 70's during most of the trip so that is perfect!

It is suppose to warm up to 70s in the day and 50s at night next week. Good thing too as we are tent camping!

2 weeks of no work..... Im a plumber...
:cool1: :teeth: :thumbsup2 BRING ON THE FREEZING TEMPERATURES!!!!! :thumbsup2 :teeth: :cool1:

My Disney addiction all started one December when everyone's pipes froze. I worked 6 days a week, from 9:00 AM - 1:00 AM (at night!) I put in how many hours that month??? :bitelip: :bitelip: It went on like this for almost a month... I very clearly remember laying under a house, hands numb, raw, cut and bruised, and telling my wife... "I know youve barely seen me in 3 weeks. As soon as we can go ONE day without a call I'll book us a trip to FLORIDA!!!" 4 days later the phone let up, and a week later we were at DISNEY!!! We havent stopped going since. True story.

My story is just the opposite. I am an attorney. During the month of December, we get virtually no business. Everyone saves their money for Christmas and takes care of their legal problems next year. Insurance adjusters that vacation time at Christmas. Judges cancel court. We can get absolutely nothing done. Every year, I would just sit in the office taking phone calls from currently clients who were upset because I couldn't get anything done on their cases until after the New Year and not getting any new clients. Last year I told my secretary never again. I have decided that from now on we leave town for the two weeks around Christmas every year. I won't be missing out on anything and will actually be able to enjoy my holiday.

I havent got anything done. Going on week #2, and Ive made less than $100 for BOTH weeks. Every call Ive gotten has been for "other plumbing". The stuff I cant do for licensing and lack of expensive equipment and such (I dont take chances; if its a gray area, I leave it alone). 95% of the year I stay very busy. The freeze only got me one call, and it was an hour away! I refused it of course. I promised myself last year I would be at WDW this year on this exact week. And I would have been (even registered at AllEars for Mousefest) if EVERY FREAKING DISNEY RESORT in the whole DARN WORLD hadnt been booked!!! :furious:
So Mr Attorney, were in the same boat this year! :thumbsup2
