First of all, I'm not complaining...just asking.

In some parts of the country is Chilled Chicken somethings kids eat? My kids will eat oven roasted chicken, but we generally serve it warm. The last time we were at WDW, I told the kids an option was cold chicken and they looked at me like I was crazy. Pecos Bills is a hamburger joint and the kids menu doesn't include Hamburger, but does have chilled chicken. .

Just curious.

yes my children will eat chilled chicken...or what my understanding of what is being served anyway. That would be grilled chicken breast (hopefully) that is then stripped or diced and kept in the fridge. Think about those packs of grilled chicken strips in the grocery store that you can add to other dishes or eat as is on a salad or whatever. My son gobbles mine up regularly. As a matter of fact at Chick Fila he won't eat the fried chicken so I get a salad with grilled chicken (COLD-remember many places make up the salads and keep them in the fridge) then give him my chicken and put his nuggets from the kids meal on my salad. I tried ordering him a grilled chicken pattie but he didnt like it hot, he wanted it cold like on my salad) Several kids I know like cold grilled chicken of this nature, even if there are other things they would prefer. The simple idea that there is grilled chicken pieces served cold is not automatically a bad thing to them.
However others posted that while their children werent naturally adverse to the idea, the didn't like the Disney chilled chicken which the grown up then tried and thought it was gross. But think of chilled chicken like the grilled (diced or strips) chicken you would get on a salad.
I can say that the last thing I will be saying to my child when I go to Disney is "honey would you like some cold chicken (or chilled chicken)?" that just makes it sound all wrong and confusing. Even though my son regularly eats it he'd be like what the heck is it they are going to serve me...he'd probably be picturing fried chicken out of he fridge....which i have heard some people like.

See, this is something my kids are used to eating. Whenever we grill I marinate 6 or 7 chicken breasts, grill them, and put them in the fridge to use cold over salad, warmed up in recipes, thrown into canned soup, made into chicken salad....so I got into the habit of serving the kids cold grilled chicken chunks.

My DS's will only eat chicken if I hide it. It has to be in chicken pot pie, smothered in gravy ... or cooked with Ah-So sauce ... or in a coating mix. Anything to hide the consistency. They just don't like it. And neither boy will eat salad, no matter how hard I try. If that's what I make for supper, they're more than happy to wait until breakfast to eat! DH doesn't like chicken either. He also will only eat it if hidden. Dinner is not always fun in my house!
