Child's art desk

I think we've decided to ask Santa to bring DS an art desk for Christmas. DS will be 2 1/2. Anyone have any experience with art desks? I think I've decided on the on pictured below, but thought I'd ask the DIS since I have some time before Christmas shopping. Thanks!

That looks like a great desk. We got one for our DD when she was about that age. At first she didn't use it much but then I tried putting it in different spots in the house until I found one that worked for her. She's 6 and still uses it. So if he doesn't take to it right away don't get discouraged. Just try to find a place for it where he'll still be in the center of the action (not that there's much action going on at our house).

Jenn Lynn...I priced it at several places, and Toys R Us seems to be the cheapest. There are a few art desks out there, but I liked this one the best. It wasn't too big (there's one out there that is huge) and it seems open (there's one where the sides come up so it's more enclosed).

CED...Glad to hear your DD still uses it. I was hoping for a long-lasting gift with this desk.

DS had one and didn't want to give it up, even when he was too big for it. He would sit at it for hours and color, draw, play, read.

We have that Step2 desk! DD5 has had it since she was 2 and it's help up really well. Even when she scribbles with marker on the desk part it wipes right off. It holds a lot of markers and/or fat crayons on the top and the desk part lifts up to store paint and brushes.
