child's AFO liner socks

Does anyone know where I can get child's AFO liner socks without spending a ton of money? My son just got the ankle braces that go to almost the knee and I cannot find socks tall and thin enough for him...They sell them online but they are $12-16 a pair and I would need at least 6-8 pairs since he needs to wear them all the time and in a few weeks also at bed...so 2 pairs a day...

I was told to try soccer socks but I cant find any small enough for his feet ( he is only 2)

Try baseball sanitary socks. They run about $2.50 a pair or so. They go up to the knee and are really thin and lightweight. I use them with my skates. They sell them in youth sizes. I don't know if that would be small enough, but it's worth a try. Any sporting goods store should have them or you can order them online.

Would thin tights work?

I know you said a son not a daughter but if the braces can be worn with pants(which I dont know) then they might work. If they can't be worn with pants would about just at night.

Just an idea but I can understand if you didn't want to do that even if it did work because you have a son.

thanks! I thought about the tights and cutting them ( they need to roll over the top of the cast)
