Hi,

Just wondering if Disney require ID for children that are either under 3 or just over?

We didn't need ID for either of our kids (we just brought our 7 and 9 year old this year)

Can I piggy back on this?

We are taking our daughter and she will turn 3 on the trip. Ticket or not?

I am in the same boat, I am trying to work out if I do a split stay (my dd will be turning 3 while we are away) if i will then be charged for her for the second leg?

As long as they are not three on the day you check in you will not need a ticket for them. That is what I have been told by every CM I have talked to.

Whatever they are on the day of check in, they get to be that age the whole trip! The best reason to celebrate a 3rd birthday at WDW. They will not ask for any proof of a child age. They might ask the child how old he is and he MIGHT tell them he is 18 just like his big brother:rotfl2:. Yep, been there.....done that.

Agree - no proof needed. If the child is 3 before going, then needs a ticket. If the child turns 3 once the trip has started - doesn't need a ticket. That's following Disney rules, not trying to get out of anything.

From Disney's perspective, a split stay at least used to be two reservations. Following that logic, if the birthday is AFTER the check in to the second hotel, the child would be 2 or younger at check-in, which is what counts for age issues @ Disney.

What about for meals? Staying on free dining and my daughter won't have her own credits because she'll be 2 on the first day, so no park tickets.

We have several buffets (covered as TS credits) after her birthday and if they ask her how old she is she will proudly yell "three!" Will I get a bill? :confused3
