Children at Signature Restaurants?

I am thinking of switching to the DXDDP but I wasn't sure which restraunts kids are "welcomed" at? We are doing HDDR but I also want to try CG and Narcoossee's but wasn't sure if they are a good place for kids?

Also how about children at Le Cellier?

I have had no problem w/my kids at many signature restaraunts. Of course, I make reservations for early times (5:30-6), when I know my kids won't be overly tired and on nonpark days (for same reason, if it isn't in a park).

We love narcooses, and are going back there, I have also booked Le Cellier (for lunch, because) and artists point...other signature is CRT for an early dinner.

My kids are 6 and 1. This will be the 1st time for the 1 year old in these restaurants, but not the 6. I am the type who will go earlier w/my kids for the reasons stated above. I wouldn't want to ruin my own meal w/sleepy/exhausted children never mind the people around me.

CG was filled w/ children of ALL ages.. Its a great restaurant and the kids have so much fun watching the fireworks over the castle (from inside the rest or on the balcony). They also have alot of fun watching the chefs make dinners.

Thanks! Have either of you dont the Deluxe dining plan? Is it worth it? We are going in October and don't think it will be overly hot so we will probably eat 3 times a day most days so I'm thinking it will be worth it? Any thoughts? It will be just me, DS4 & DS7.

I havent done it yet but my DH is a B I G eater... I was fine w/ the "regular" plan but he loves the idea of more food... to me: it sounds great but people have different opinions of it. I love the idea of three meals a day; but again I havent done it yet and hope its well worth it! our trip for sept had to be cancelled and we had it booked on that one, I plan to book it again for next year!

Children are definitely welcomed. We saw tons of children at CG and Narcoossee when we went there last year. Also LeCellier is definitely okay too. Really the only places I've never seen kids are at Bistro de Paris and V&A's. We ddin't see any kids at Jiko either but I know kids are welcomed there.

We did the premium plan back early last year which was the name of the plan at the tiem that let you do 3 meals a day. The only difference was back then everything was 1 credit with the deluxe its not. Anyways, Dh and I loved it. We plan to do the deluxe in September when we go back. We love being able to do TS for more meals and not have to worry about budgeting money since we paid for it up front. I will say one thing to keep in mind is that you don't have to clean your plate and stuff yourself full.

The only restaurant at WDW that is age-restricted is Victoria and Alberts. All others accept kids, though not all of them have a children's menu. Some of them have business-casual dress codes.

All of the signatures inside the parks have children's menus and park-casual dress codes.

I'e never done the DDP myself. I eat a lot of CS and only a few TS meals per trip.

October wil not be "overly hot", but the last time I was in WDW in October, it averaged around 80 degrees with low humidity, so depending on where you're from, you might find October to be beautiful or you might find it too hot for 3 TS meals per day.

Well behaved children are welcomed at all of the restaurants on the dining plan (V&A and Bistro are not on the plans) but the question is more whether your children will enjoy it. Meals are long at the signatures. It's supposed to be fine dining where you eat at a leisurely pace. Expect at least 90 minutes for each signature meal once you are seated. I've seen children at all of the signatures except JIKO (it's rather dark in there so would be difficult for children to do quiet table activities) but I will not take my grandson (3) because he could not sit for 90 minutes without getting fussy or loud.

Whether DxDDp is worth it is different for each family. We tried it once and it was too much food for us plus lots of time was spent in restaurants. We prefer to pay OOP and have a bit more flexibility. If you are unsure, I would say try it at least one time; it may be perfect for you.

I'm not sure how old your kids are, ours are 7 and 8. We have taken them Narcoossee’s, CG, Yachtsman Steakhouse, Flying Fish Le Cellier, etc... To me it really depends on if you are willing to have to entertain the kids during dinner.

Kids will be kids and signature restaurant dinners are a good 2 hours. As long as your kids are prepared for this, I think you'll be fine.

On the other hand, IMO you have to respect the patrons around you. Depending on your child, you may have to be prepared to remove your child from the restaurant if there behavior is disruptive to other patrons.

Just my 2 cents.

we are doing deluxe dining in 3 weeks. There will be 1 or 2 day that we will only have 2 meals because of the amount of signatures. we are arriving late at night (will be there intime for dinner) and leaving first thing in am, so we are planning on getting pastries and cereal as snacks at the boardwalk bakery on a morning or 2 then when we go to MK, our breakfast and dinner aren't all that far apart, 8am and 4pm, so we may just get a snack.
