hello,

no debate, just a simple question.
how do they determine the pricing for a 'child' at liberty tree tavern. ie my son is 10. do they say "is he 10" and charge him adult price?

i know that the dining plan 10yrs old is an adult, but to walk in and sit and eat?? is it the same?

thanks

you must be talking about dinner? (set prices for meal served family-style) In that case, yes, they would ask for the ages of the children and price accordingly (your 10 yr old will be charged as adult)

If you don't want to pay adult-prices for a child who would prefer kids meals, go to Liberty Tree at lunch: it's a regular ala carte menu and each person orders what they want (and your 10 yr old could get a kids meal)

No debate.

10 years old = Disney adult.

Simple Question --- Simple Answer
Disney states 10 year olds are adults for dining and tickets

Anyone ten and older pays the adult price at a fixed price meal. The amount they eat or don't eat isn't relevant.

That's for dinner, which is fixed price family style. If you are going for lunch, you can order for him from the kids menu, as lunch is a la carte.

This is exactly the info I was looking for. Thank you!!! Lunch may be a good option! (but the lure of a good burger at cosmic rays may be too tempting. lol)

Thank you :O)

If you eat table-service meal at Liberty Tree for lunch, then go to Cosmic Rays for your burger at supper time. We love the chicken & ribs combo platter at Cosmic Rays...enough for two adults to split :thumbsup2allears.

Here's the Liberty Tree kids meals lunch menu:

I'd go w/ the advice of lunch. Honestly, LTT has been my fav. place to eat @ WDW for years but I was very unhappy w/ a rude hostess & so-so service this time.:confused3 We waited 2 hours. WE HAD an ADR. + my salad had no dressing on it & the dressing is my favorite part of the entire meal. I didn't complain but I should have. If I go again it'll be @ lunch in hopes of a better time.:goodvibes

The food isn't the 'greatest' but i did enjoy it the last time I ate there (way back in 2006 when it was still a character dinner!)

We were thinking of trading our Tonys for Liberty Tree Tavern, but economically it would be better for us at Tonys, plus my son can eat off the child menu. Too bad LTT doesn't have an a la carte option for dinner time. Ironically at 10 you would think he ate like any other boy, but he actually is on medication that decreases his appetite. huh. go figure. I have budgeted for all our other meals (ie adult credits for other table service meals incl chef mickey, 1900 park fare...) but we are 'over' our dining credits.

It will be cheaper for us to pay out of pocket for Tony's where he can order a child portion (and probably not finish it) or just a salad if he prefers. rather than paying 3 adults out of pocket plus a child.

Lunch, however, could be an option! Thanks for the suggestions!
