A friend has a six year old that she would like to find a program for one morning or afternoon of their stay in July. If CBR does not have childcare, can she use the programming at another resort?
Thanks for your help
Barbara

Hi Barbara,

Yes, you can use another resort's childcare, but IIRC they do not open until around 4:PM.

Yes you can as Bob said. A friend's child loves the Sandcastle Club at the Yacht/Beach Club resort. We almost didn't get her to leave. :)

Thanks for the great info,
I did find some info at the allears site but I was wondering if people had luck getting into the child care if they didn't stay in the deluxe hotels?
Anyone try this?
I was also thinking about the GF programming but don't know if it is too late...might be worth a check
Thanks again
Barb

My kids loved the Neverland Club at the Polynesian! Can't tell you how much though cause hubby took care of it. It opens at 4.

Hi Barb,

You don't need to stay in a deluxe to book the childcare. I'd call sooner rather than later though; they do fill up, especially in peak seasons.

Anyone can use one of the Child Care Centers

Activity Centers are located in the following Disney Deluxe Resorts:

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge - Simba’s Clubhouse
Disney’s Beach Club Resort - Sandcastle Club
Disney’s Boardwalk Resort - Disney’s Harbor Club
Disney’s Contemporary Resort - Mouseketeer Clubhouse - though not sure this one is still open
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort - Mouseketeer Clubhouse
Disney’s Polynesian Resort - The Never Land Club
Disney’s Wilderness Lodge - Cub’s Den

Children’s Activity Centers are designed especially for kids who are potty trained and between 4 and 12 years of age. Your child will enjoy games and activities while you enjoy some Disney grown-up fun! Dinner is included if your child arrives before 6:45 p.m. and must be ordered in advance and requested by the parent. Usual operation hours (subject to change) for all Children’s Activity Centers are from 4:30 p.m. to midnight and can be booked up to 120 days in advance by calling 407-WDW-DINE (939-3463).

A credit card is required for guarantee and the cancellation policy is outside 24 hours prior to arrival to avoid penalty charge. Parents are given a beeper (a deposit is taken but refunded when pager is returned). Approximate pricing is $10 per hour (1 hour minimum required) but varies based on the Club your child is placed in.

I thought I had read that the Harbor Club was closed. Anyone have info on this? Can you tell me more about it? We were thinking about the Neverland Club but the BW would be more convenient for what we need. Thank you.

Hi Brenda,

Why not try the Sandcastle Club if you were going to use the BW? Y&BC are right there.

Jets in '05!

Bob

Thanks BobP. Didn't realize they were so close. We were thinking of a few hours of adults' only w/ drinks, etc. and thought ESPN and the Brewery might be a fun place too. If we did leave them at Sandcastle, do you know anything about it? I keep reading alot of Neverland but...

BTW, that would be Patriots in 05' AGAIN

Take note of my screenname. Sometimes I think others don't connect the two. Maybe I'll have to change my name, but I just hit "mouseketeer" and I hate to lose a promotion, lol.

ALso, another thread mentioned difficulty getting into ESPN on Sundays for the games, something about the line starting at 8 a.m.? We're hoping to go to ESPN on the day after Thanksgiving so I assume that won't be a problem.

GO PATRIOTS.
GO RED SOX.

LET'S HAVE ANOTHER KNOCKOUT YEAR :cool1:

No, ESPN shouldn't be a problem the day after Thanksgiving, but isn't there usually college football on that afternoon and evening? Anyway, it will be manageable I'm sure...

Our kids are teens now (and Jets fans too ;) ) but they still have fond memories of the Sandcastle Club. In fact, they liked it better than the Neverland Club. You can drop yours off at Sandcastle and walk over to the Brewery, ESPN, Jellyrolls, or Atlantic Dance. They're all within half a mile of the BC.

Enjoy the Football season (but not too much...)!

Bob

The Harbor Club is closed, and you can't use the Mousekateers Club at teh GF unless you are a guest there--or during the slow season if you are dining there with a confirmed PS they will make an exception.

I don't think any of them are open during the day, although kinderCare on property offers a limited number of drop in slots daily M-F.

Well BobP, you know how kids are, easily influenced, especially by those holding the $$$. Of course, as they grow older and smarter, they are apt to change their minds :rotfl: As for my own teenager, he has been shut off completely, he became enamored of Ricky Williams and the Dolphins a few years back. I told him I hope he can find a nice college in FL that he can afford :rotfl2:

I'm sorry, you said the Sandcastle Club, I don't know where I got Harbor Club. Love the idea of Jellyrolls, too. I'll have to research more. Kids are older so they can pretty much go anywhere. I'm thinking of ourselves -- few drinks later we might not want to travel too far to get them.

BTW, only looking for a few hours late afternoon/early evening. God knows, it'll be hard enough to keep up with them feeling 100%, not sure how we'll do the next day after a few hours out the night before, first Girls trip and everything.
