We'll be taking a side trip to Universal on our WDW trip this May. Since the online ticket prices are the same for adults and children for the two park 7 day pass, why do they specify the purchase of a child's vs adult's ticket?

My DS will be 9 years old, but if I buy a child's ticket for him, will that limit him to only certain rides? He's 54" tall right now so would be able to ride on most of the rides. Should I just buy him an adult ticket since the price is the same?

Why do they specify adult-vs-child on the Universal website if the price is the same? Is this ticket ($85.99) the best deal out there or are there better deals to be had? We won't be staying on-site.

Child's ticket don't require biometrics. That is the only difference. I'd go ahead and get an adult ticket for a 9 year old (if the price is the same) just in case my trip had to be postponed.

By biometrics you mean fingerprints, right? I bought an adult pass for my 9 year old in case we have to postpone our visit.

Does the child's ticket expire while the adult one doesn't? I thought all of the tickets were good until they get used -- like no expiration date. Am I wrong with that assumption?

Yes, the biometrics are the fingerscans--not a true fingerprint.

You are correct. The kids' tickets won't expire until 6 days after first use just like the adult's.

we got our tickets at AAA and adult/child tickets were the same price. The one ticket for our 9 yr old did say "child" on it but looked just like the adult ticket. A child can ride all the rides as long as they are tall enough.
