We have DDP for 3 adults & 2 kids. One night one of the kids wants to eat an "Adult" meal.

Of course he wants this at Narcoose! I don't want to pay OOP for him at Narcosse -- Can he use an "Adult" credit?

I know this means we will need to pay OOP another day for an Adult meal, but I just want to avoid doing it at Narcosse & instead pay OOP for an Adult at CRT.

Possible?

Probably not. How to explain this... the number of adult credits used at a given sitting cannot exceed the number of adults on the plan (and so, indicated on your room key).

Now, that said - you may be able to do it, at the discretion of the restaurant manager. Explain your situation to your server before ordering and see what happens.

And at Narcoosee's it would be two adult credits.

Thanks!

It is my DSs birthdays -- the 12 yr old is choosing Narcoose to celebrate! And in true sibling fashion the turning 8 yr old wants to know why he can't eat surf & turf that night :scared1:

If it can't be done, one of the other adults could "take one for the team", skip the surf-n-turf (or, eat the leftovers from the 8 year old ;)) and order a less expensive meal OOP.

I have a feeling this might be a situation in which it is allowed, though.

Can your 8yo eat an appy, entree and dessert? Can you share appy from the table with the 8yo, order him an entree and share desserts?

On the child's menu, there is the turf
Filet Mignon - Served with mashed potatoes and vegetables and choice of beverage: 1% milk, bottled water, or juice. French fries and soft drinks available upon request. - $13.00

If someone would share turf, he could order the child's meal there and then embellish from others?

Here is the link to the DIS Menu

You may have difficulty using adult credits for your son. Years back when the credits were pooled, sharing child credits with adults was rampant and this was locked down. Because it was locked down, it is the policy that TS credits cannot cross over. Servers who violate that policy are subject to disciplinary action.

Hopefully with some creative ordering, you can help your son get the meal he wants,

Have fun on his birthday!

the kids filet is really nice and you can just get a lobster tail on the side. We did a couple of weeks ago because my kids love lobster. I think it was 30 something and the receipts are long gone

You will only be able to order the number of adult meals that are on your plan. Order meals off the child's menu and share. I had the surf and turf ad could not finish so sharing should be easy to do. As mentioned above if they order the steak on the child's menu you'd only have to share the surf. They don't care who eats what, but it seems silly to pay OOP for anything there if everyone is eating. Sharing is a great family lesson and a very Disney thing to do.

We paid OOP for our 5yo, but we had booked an extra TS meal and it was cheaper to pay for his $6 entree at Narcoossee's than for any other meal on our list.

Finally, Narcoossee's is too nice of an experience to sit there worrying about the check when you're on the plan. Tell the 8yo here is the plan and let him live with it. When its his birthday and he's a DP adult he can pick a place for dinner too!
