May I just take the time to apologise for posting this thread on the Community Board and not the Debate Board.
But if anyone with the powers that be wants to move this thread, then feel free.
The question was simply to find out what percentage of people would turn a blind eye to the rules if they thought they were being hard done to.
Personally,I would like too see a charge made on peoples size and their ability to enjoy the rides.
If a Little Person was visiting WDW,would he not still have to pay adult price even though he/she may be denied rides due to the height restrictions.
But seeing as I am being labelled a liar, thief and a cheat, lets go for it.
Mickeyfan,as a shareholder you will have obviously heard of the Pooh Sisters. They are the 2 sisters who have the marketing rights to anything Pooh Bear. Those rights were originally handed to their father by A.A.Milne,and were then passed to the 2 daughters.
Now,isnt there a long standing feud dragging through the courts as the Pooh Sisters claim Disney has ripped them off for millions of Dollars.
And isnt it well documented that EPCOT was supposed to be a REAL city with REAL people living there.
But isnt it a known fact that those plans were only submitted so as to gain permission to build in the first place, and that a REAL city was never intended.
Eh',a bit of dodgy dealing there then.
The latest let down by Disney has got to be the film,Peter Pan.
As a shareholder you should know that Walt Disney always allocated a percentage of monies made from anything Peter Pan, to [I think] the Great Ormond St Childrens Hospital here in London.
But because Disney pulled out of the production right at the last minute, leaving it to Universal to take over, then that hospital and its sick children have been denied badly needed funds.
By the way, does the Universal takeover now mean that Peter Pan is no longer Disney?.
Is Tinkerbell now out of a job?
And what about trading within the US itself.
On my first ever trip to the States, not only was I amazed, but also dissapointed to find that all Disney merchandise was made in ......CHINA.
There was I,hoping to buy "Original US made Disney merchandise" only to find its made in China.
All along,Disney is promoted as being "The happiest place on Earth",yet it has a policy to produce its money making merchandise outside of the USA,by a communist run country, with one of the worst human rights records on this planet.
And am I right in saying that no one ever dies in Disney, and that if someone did die ,then their death is not recorded until that person is off Disney property.........if thats the case ,then we are even denied the right to pass away in the happiest place on Earth.
The above certainly puts a different light on things doesnt it.
So,the next question is, Am I ripping off Disney, or are they ripping me off?
Sorry to have to rant ,but when some folk answer a thread in such an aggressive manner and make out they have the same moral standards as a Saint,......after all,the question wasn't asked in an aggressive way and at least I am honest.
Dont get me wrong, myself and my family love Florida and WDW and wouldnt go anywhere else in the world, but we dont live our lives looking through rose tinted glasses.
By the way, with regards locking this thread.Would'nt that be denying me my right to free speech...............you know,"Welcome to America, land of free enterprise.............and free speech". and all that.
