I believe in NJ that you actually have to request to have the CS stopped. Which means, if someone isn't paying attention then they could continue having the money withdrawn well after the cut off time.

Its mandatory in NJ to have the money pulled directly from the payor's paycheck (if it goes through the court system). DSis does child support for her county.
