Human mothers have the highest rate of killing their own children than any other species in the animal kingdom. Chimpanzees take better care of their offspring.

Learned this from a PBS program recently and for some reason it came to mind just now.

Concur to a certain extent with the logic, but in reality most people are never executed who are on death row. Of those that are, many spend upward to 20 years (and in some cases more) with the appellate process before that happens.

I do feel that being in the general population is much worse than your own little cushy cell, though. Those on DR are, IMO, getting off easy in this respect.

Torture would work for me, but I'm not convinced they'd be tortured the entire time. They would however be at greater risk of harm if they're in the general population (which is added bonus for scum like this, IMO).

That poor precious angel. I'm so sorry for her family, the ones who gave a damn about her, that is.

DH and I spent lots of time, money and energy.....not to mention tears and heartbreak, just trying to have one baby. When they show Shaniya's face on TV, all I see is a little angel, just an adorable child. The sort of child most people would be thrilled to have. I would love to have some time alone with her "mother."

Things like this are why I realized long ago that God surely has no hand in who has/does not have babies. If He did, DH and I (and many like us) wouldn't have suffered with infertility and people like this creature wouldn't be blessed with sweet little children they then torture instead of adore.

No, it's not fair at all who gets to procreate and who doesn't. It's random chance. I wish it weren't that way. My parents tried for a long time and went through infertility treatments before they were able to have kids. It is a wonderful feeling to know we were wanted and treasured that much. I wish every child had that.

Hopefully, a judge will rule that the baby should be removed from her. There are thousands of couples who want to adopt and provide a loving home for a precious baby.

The pregnancy info was reported on the Today Show this morning. don't know where they got it from. I will check with my cousin who is a deputy in the county jail, but I think they do require them to take a pregnancy test if the woman claims to be pregnant.

All I can say is that I can't really tell you what I think they deserve, it would get me in trouble. But it has to do with torture, just like the guy in Ft Hood. People need to start paying for what they do. No more slaps on the back of the hand. They need to REALLY pay.

No, I'm not a violent person. But when you are hurting children, innocent little babies, I just can't handle it. I'm sick of hearing about this kind of stuff and the guilty parties barely pay.

My thoughts & prayers go to that little babies father. I can't imagine what he is going through. When this evil witch asked for a chance to raise her he apparently thought she really had her act together and really wanted to do the right thing. Now he has to live this nightmare every single day for the rest of his life. I wouldn't be shocked to see if his life gets out of control or if he tries to take his own life. Poor thing.

I know this will sound harsh, but I don't mean it in a bad way. That poor little Angel is probably better off where she is now instead of living to be an adult living a life trapped in a world of prostitution. Again, I don't mean it to be harsh or mean. Now she won't have to suffer through all of that. I hope & pray she didn't suffer during her short stay here.
