child leashes

Well I can't find my post on it, so I'll do a short, condensed version of what I said...

They are ridiculous, and completely unessesary. If you need a leash to control your kids, you shouldn't have had kids in the first place.

They are indeed not ridiculous. They let kids have freedom to wander, but also give them boundaries. They keep kids safe from getting lost or kidnapped. I had a leash as a little kid and it didn't bother me one bit. Think about it, even the most well-behaved kids with the best parents freak out and run off somewhere.

I don't mean to offend anyone but if I do, then that is their problem for taking my opinion as an insult

I personally hate them. I mean, the parents that I've seen with them treat their kids cruely. The are literally draggin their 4 year olds around. That's how little they care for their kids. One little kid tripped with a leash and their dad kept pulling them without looking and when he did, the kid's face was all ripped up. It was disgusting. they called a paramedic 5 minutes after I did.

Awlll that's really sad. Hope he's okay.

I don't have anything against them but I'm not really for them either. Idk it's late so maybe I'll have a side to pick from later!!! Lol.

they're wrong.
a kid is not a dog.
they're a human being, if you can't control your kid, leave them at home.
I THINK THAT TO I MEAN COME ON THATS A DESCRACE TO ALL KIDS UNDER 5 YOU KNOW

Well I think that it is the parents decision to put them on their child. I had one when I was little a wrist one because I could not talk that well i had a hearing problem and I would wander.... like I still wander today but I do not have a leash anymore. lol... Some parents may fill more confortable with the leash because they do not want their child to wander away from them. I think that it is wrong for people to judge the parents who put leashes on their children. I think it is wrong espessially if you have never had children. When you have children you may fill differnetly. and with today's day and age you may see it more and more

well. im sorta on that shaky borderline.

i had one when i was little specifically for wdw. my brother tells me i was prone to wander off at the first sight of anything sparkly, and lets face it, what doesnt sparkle at disney? so i had a blue wrist one.

but if i were a parent, id only have one to give my child a little relief from the stroller without having them go too far. my opinion is, only a responsible parent should use one, so they can keep an eye on the kids without feeling out of their "safe zone". but you cant exactly put on the package "for responsible parents only: do not use if stupid."

I think they're fine. I don't get how people say that they're like leashes. That's like saying "Oh NO! I can't put my child into a crib because that's like putting a dog in a cage" and "Oh NO! I can't put my child in a stroller because that's like putting a dog in a carrying case. I think they're fine, and really, it's the parent's choice. My sister had one for years, and never minded it. She would always wander, especailly on walks or jogs.
