The article says the boys were riding in the same direction as the bus, so either he rode into the path of the bus or the bus for some reason swerved into him? I would think the bus driver could see the boys ahead and he would've slowed down to a crawl as he drove the bus past, just to be safe.
"The little boy ... left the sidewalk and went into the southbound lanes of Big Pine Drive, struck the side of the bus and then was subsequently pulled underneath the bus and run over by the bus," Montes said.
A lot of children tend to think that they can ride their bikes where ever because it is a "campground". We have had more than one child dart out in front of us while driving our golf cart around. You have to be very careful in FW because there are so many noises going on constantly. You can hear the boat whistle, and train whistle going, cars, busses, music etc.
Still very tragic but I can see how this could happen so quickly.![]()

That is so horrible! My prayers and thoughts go out to everyone involved. It's unfortunate that these sort of things happen, especially at the 'happiest place on earth'.
My dad, who is against Disney for so many reasons I can't name them, blames them and says that it is a dangerous place to go, and you put your life in their hands. He says every year someone dies there, and he wouldn't pay any money to go there.
Now, he's basing this off of the last year, with first the monorail accident and now this. Plus he's cynic, which means you can't change his mind on the 'horrors of Disney'
Sorry for going OT...I'm just venting. I figured (but hope) you guys wouldn't mind.![]()
