I think Child Abuse is disgusting, and that parents that abuse their children are wrong in the head.

Child abuse is probably one of my only weaknesses. I hate every person that has ever put any child through ANYTHING that constitutes as child abuse. I want to become a children's lawyer. Everyone in my school knows how against child abuse I am and I have gotten into many arguments and debates about it.

We had a discussion in my Psychology class a while back about if you think it's right to spank your kid.

I would NEVER hit my kid.

Parents that do that to their chidren are sick and just plain cruel. It makes me wonder how parents could do that to their children to begin with.

i hate it...
there are a few things i hate and that is one of them... heck i am a victim and a survivor of domestic violence. this was back when i lived with my biological dad ( stinking dirtbag ) and but that was oh about....17 years ago.. he did it when i was a baby. but that is in the past.... but child abuse is just wrong there is no reason for it. if u need to hit something hit a punching bag not a kid

Spanking to me, is debateable.
To me, it depends on the situation.
If the kid did something minor, and the person is using it as a way to let out their frustration after a long day, that is wrong.
If the kid did something wrong (like stealing something or something like that), it is entirely up to the parents. They can look after their kids however they want, just not in front of me.
There is no worse sound than a kid crying.

I was watching House the other night and these parents loved the kid with leukimia more than the kid who had an infection that couldn't be defined. Near the end the father is taking the kids bone marrow (the one with the infection) inproperly and the kid was screaming. It was awful, so awful. Even if it wasn't real.

Theres no possible way you can be for child abuse, but there are limitations on what is and what isn't child abuse.

It seems to me, that everything is child abuse. Yell at your kid? CHILD ABUSE. Spank em? CHILD ABUSE. Sending them to bed without dinner? CHILD ABUSE.

To me, none of those are actually child abuse. Its teaching them a lesson. Yep, my parents spanked me. I didn't do it again though. I didn't want to eat my dinner? Ok, then I had to go without anything. Its punishment, not abuse.

You walk a thin line with child abuse. More times than not, barring physical or mental assault, its not really child abuse.

No, actuallythe father wasn't doing that. Dr. What's his face was doing it. The African American one. And the kid said he wanted to do it.

I didn't have my glasses on.
But really, it looked like he was doing it right.
Aren't they supposed to be put in the fetal position before hand?
It just looked like Foreman was stabbing him.

When I was little, I had the choice to either eat what was on my plate or eat nothing. I'd usually just end up sitting there until I ate it, made a deal with my parents (two more bites, etc) or my parents gave in.
I'm not little anymore, so if I don't like what my family is eating, I get my own supper.

spanking is very debateable. if ur kid was bad and need punished then yes u may have to spank them bc i've seen so many kids who dont get spanked who really need it. but if ur doing bc ur mad ur doin it for the wrong reason

I am 100% AGAINST child abuse. I litteraly CAN NOT stand it. I would love to do anything to stop child abuse, everywhere! But, that isn't possible. Someone will always abuse. But why?! There is absolutly NO reason. No child deserves child abuse. EVER! NO MATTER WHAT!

I think that if you feed them and they dont WANT it...then thats not really child abuse because you are giving them food and they just dont want it....thats my opinion anyways. my mom is a social worker and she deals with this every day and i dont know how anybody could handle it! she is my hero!

I really don't agree with that, but it's your opinion and I can't do anything about it.

Abused children can grow up to be serial killers, rapists, drug dealers. It really affects people in their adult life. But I've also seen really strong people grow up to try and spread the word. About how child abuse is REALLY out there, everywhere.
