Chicks and Roosters...part 2

Susan - holy crud. I'm assuming you have an evacuation plan.

Tricia - I said that to someone at a store today, that after the 4th of July it feels like summer just flies. She looked at me like I was crazy, but it does.

I am going to homeschool Kailey this year, so the school calendar means a bit less to us, but it's still scary.

Susan- that is great about work, isn't it? When I had Kailey my supervisor was all about how many weeks I would be out. Um, there is life outside of work! But get the therapy you need, you don't want it to be an issue down the road. :goodvibes

Homeschool? Those people are weird. :rolleyes1

Chris - aren't they? Sort of the "I don't want the rest the world to affect my kids" people.

:confused3

But I get to sleep in on school days. so it's worth it. ;)

Still on board for a cruise in Sept. 2010? I've put in on my calendar

Morning ladies.

Susan stay safe my friend. That must be so scary for you.

Was that a Chris sighting?

How are you?

FAB good luck being the :teacher: . I have to admit the sleeping in on school days does have a certain advantage. Kendall and Colin can sleep until 7:00 because they don't leave until 8:00 but I get up at 5:30 during the school year because Kelsie has to be up by 5:45 to get out of here by 6:30. :sad2:

I went to the Casino with my SIL yesterday. I didn't win but had a great time and a wonderful buffet. I look at it as purley entertainment value so it's all good.

Good morning all
I'm sorry I didn't read back just saw about the wildfires.
Susan I hope you're okay.
The week was great. The internet connection wasn't working properly.
Sometimes I could get on disboards but posting was a problem.
Just as well, it got me off my butt in the morning and I took some nice walks. :)

How is everyone?

In other news, there is another wildfire burning, this time locally. It just started and we heard the fire trucks go by. My car was covered in ash this morning and that's from fires 100 miles away. It's getting really bad.

Hey Chicks & Roosters!!!

Susan, When I was out in San Francisco last week, my daughter's car was covered in soot too!!! We were south of the fires and they had subsibed just a little. I can't even imagine what it's like being closer than we were.

Stay safe!

Just a quick check in before church, can't stay long! Everything is fine, the local fire was contained really quickly and wasn't as bad as the rumors. The other fires are still burning around the state but we are all fine here.

Jeanny and Chris, glad to se you both!

Welcome back Joanne!

Gotta go!

Susan - I am so relieved that it's not as bad as it sounded. :thumbsup2

Hi Jeanny! Good to see you. How was SF? I don't like it near as much as NYC, but it does have its charms.

Joanne - I find it incredibly frustrating when I have posting issues. When I first moved to Texas, it took like 2 months to get my internet connection sorted out and I was pulling my hair out.

Tricia - ugh. 5:45. And I hated getting up at 6:30 each morning. I have to admit, we are a night crowd in our house and I'm just starting to convince Madeleine to sleep past 8am. And yes, my friends with young children are very jealous.

DH took Kailey to see Journey to the center of the earth yesterday. She loved it! :3dglasses

Welcome back Joanne. How was your vacation?

Jeanny it's so nice to hear from you again.

FAB I can't even remember when I've slept past 8 AM. :sad2: Even in the summer when I can sleep as late as I want I'm usually up by 6:30. :confused3

Susan I'm glad the fires are contained in your area. Scary stuff!

Today starts Kendall's crazy week of cheer from 8 to 4 everyday and on Friday I bring her to cheer camp at a local college. She'll stay for four days learning hopefully lots from the cheerleaders there. She's very excited to be going there with her squad from school.

Good morning. I'm not sure I'm happy about it being Monday but here it is anyway. Sometimes I feel like I'm going in circles. I need some excitement!

Sounds like you are all having busy weeks with those kids. I get up at 6:30 most days but when I have nothing planned, I can easily sleep until 9 or later. I feel so guilty when I do though!

Good afternoon all!

Susan, I'm glad everything is okay.
You guys are busy with the kids in the morning! I get up at 6:00-6:30 on weekends because I'm so used to getting up at 5:30 during the week.

I hope Kendall has fun with all that cheerleading! :cheer2:

Good morning all

hmmm.... I don't know what else to say. :rotfl:

Good morning all

hmmm.... I don't know what else to say. :rotfl:

Sometimes good morning is all there is to say! :)

I woke up this morning and couldn't process what day it was. I couldn't decide if it was Saturday or Sunday. Imagine my surprise when I realized it was Tuesday! The only good thing about it being Tuesday is that Big Brother is on tonight. I'm so glad they aren't doing secret partners, love connections, or whatever else stuff they kept doing. So far so good. :thumbsup2

Good morning chicks. Well it's 11:25 so I guess it's still morning. I know it is at least for Susan.

I was out of the house early again today with Kendall. I didn't get to enjoy my coffee and DIS this morning. I feel like I'm trying to play catch up. It will be like this all week and on Tuesday of next week we leave for vacation. Once we get back I'll be in a rush to have everything ready for school. It starts over here on August 8th.

Where has our summer gone? :upsidedow

I think I'll miss BB tonight because of Gymnastics but I'll be sure to watch it online. I love that you can do that. :thumbsup2

Tricia - I love how many ways we have to entertain ourselves these days, but it's also kind of overwhelming. Computer? Tivo? Wii? Xbox360 or other game station? Dis? Message Board? Messenger/Live Chat? Netflix?

And then there's planning for WDW vacations. :surfweb:

August 8th? Wow - that's just around the corner. :scared1:

Susan - I do that so often. Believe it or not - more during the school year though, where I'm going to bed thinking, thank goodness it's Friday and then realize, crud - it's Wednesday and we have both girl scouts AND soccer practice tomorrow.

Hey Joanne!

Good Morning -or Afternoon for some of you.

I'm definitely not wanting to be at work today. I'm having one of those mopey "poor me" kind of days.

Susan is your arm hurting you today or just have the blahs? We all have days like that.

I'm trying to decide what to cook for dinner tonight. Any ideas?

Hey Tricia. No, my arm is all right, just the blahs. It's all good.

Susan - I have the blahs all the time.. and the more I do laundry, the more I get the blahs

Good Thursday morning chicks.

First day this week I didn't have to wake up to an alarm. I still got up at 6:45 but it makes a difference when you wake up on your own. Today I have to help Kendall pack for Cheer Camp. :cheer2: She is so excited and I'm thrilled for her. I have to admit that I'm really going to miss her. :sad1: She's never gone away to camp before. We're meeting at Target tomorrow at 8:15 and will caravan the girls to the College.

Did I mention we are going on vacation next week? Gulf Shores here we come.
