"Chicken" Swap

I've heard that you can do the baby swap on rides that have height restrictions, but what if everyone in your party is tall enough to ride but someone is a chicken? Can they wait in line with you and not ride, and then stay with one person in your party while the other rides, then stay with the first rider while the second one rides?

I'm sure that will not be a problem if the child is too young to wait by him/herself.
We did that at Disneyland with a relative who was 8 or 9 and didn't want to ride but was too little to wait alone. The CMs didn't bat an eye.

Yes, you ccan....Our DS doesm't like TOT at all and he is tall enough. I ride while DH waits with DS and then I wait with him while DH rides. They don't care if they are tall enough or not...
