I was looking at menus and noticed that alot of places have chicken strips & fries - just curious how large of a portion this is? Are there enough strips that my 2 DS's could share one meal? I'm thinking of not doing the DDP because the kids choices aren't much of what they would eat. My oldest is a big eater but the little one doesn't eat much at all.

As I recall the adult portion is 3 sizeable chicken filet strips. My guess is that it would be enuff if your youngest doesn't eat all that much. Maybe a side of fries.

Are you talking about the kids menu portions or the adult menu portions? The adult portion is pretty big. My father-in-law almost accidentally ordered that for our granddaughter thinking they didn't have a kids menu at Electric Umbrella (he was overwhelmed, forgive him). The adult portion is definitely big enough for two kids to share. With the kids menu, remember you usually get two sides along with the entree as well.

And always remember that you don't have to order the entire basket. You can just order the chicken strips and no fries. Or just order the fries. Or a side of whatever healthy options they have. Or split just a foot long hot dog. Or just a burger. The price is then reduced to an ala carte option. My husband and I usually get one hot dog basket for him and just a burger for me and then share the fries.

Adult portion. I'm sure the kids menu portions are small.

Hi - I usually get the chicken basket (adult) and I can barely eat one. The are huge and filling! I think that your 2 DS's could deinitely share.

And, if they are still hungry, I am sure they will be happy to have a Mickey Icecream :goodvibes

I hate to tell everyone this but earlier this year they change all the Chicken Strips to Chicken Nuggets under the guise of offering healthier foods. I don't do "nuggets" so I haven't tried them. I've been told that the ones being served do not contain the fillers and other garbage that every other chicken "nugget" I have ever eaten does. Some people claim they are just smaller "nugget" size pieces of the same meat found in the previously served "Tenders" and therefore a healthier size portion since they are smaller.

They don't have chicken strips anymore, they are nuggets..

6 Small nuggets, nowhere near the size of 3 large strips

Disney cut the portion and rose the price, but they give you a lot of fries

Thank you for posting. I started reading this thread and was thinking, wow, where are these people eating. I go to WDW 4 trips a year and haven't seen a chicken strip in a long time. As for sharing, no way. The 6 small nuggets is enough for my 2 granddaughters to share, but they are only 1 year old and 3 year old. I might have to get them something else, because it may not be enough for the little ones. Not only did they magically turn the wonderful huge chicken strips into these couple of tiny nuggets, but even at CHH, the nice portion of fish, was barely the size of a fish stick during our most recent trip in May. We call it the incredible shrinking meals. It's Disney's way of cutting down on the portion size, but not cutting down on the price.

That is just so rude! a corporation cutting expenses by making meals significantly smaller, but either raising the prices, or keeping them the same! particularly rude, raising the price on shrinking menu items. :(
Even if Disney Corp. serves a lot of fries (as it were) how is that good for ones waist line? (so much for the parks offering healthier eating options) please...............really now!
