Chicken question about Guardians

Ok…so I can do all of the simulators (never tried mission space orange) totally fine, but I am a complete and total chicken when it comes to coasters…Mine Train is my limit and I am fine on it, but have no desire to try any coaster beyond that…except for Guardians. I want to try it so badly…it looks so fun! Fully prepared to take a Bonine before I ride just in case. Hubby is not scared of any rides at all so his perspective doesn’t really help me unfortunately. Can some fellow chickens who were braver than I am and tried it please let me know how bad (or not) Guardians really is? Thanks! 😊

So I don’t love roller coasters - partially bc of motion sickness and partially bc I’m just scared. But I had to get over it bc my young kiddo wanted to ride GoG and I was the only one who could go with her.

Guardians is definitely intense but because of that…it’s undeniably a fantastic attraction. I actually really love it now - still nervous but the fun factor keeps any major anxiety at bay.

The first time I went on, I did feel a little nauseous after but it dissipated quickly. Now it doesn’t bother me at all - I’ve probably gone on 15x’s? It’s a must do for us!

I would try it!

GOTG is more intense than Mine Train. But it’s a totally different feeling than a normal coaster. Until you try it, you won’t know. Maybe you’ll hate it but it’s what 2 mins long? At least you won’t wonder anymore.

I hate roller coasters that have high, fast drops, the kind where you feel like you're weightless. GotG doesn't have any of those. The intensity comes from the fast backward launch and the twisting from side to side while racing along curves and spirals. There are hills and valleys, but they're not at all deep. If you can do Mine Train, you can probably do GotG, but definitely take a Bonine several hours in advance. I have to take Bonine and also keep my eyes focused on the front of the car, or else motion sickness will get me. But there are no scary drops!

If Mine Train is your limit I think GOTG will be a struggle. Maybe try it at the end of your day so if you react it doesn’t ruin the rest of your park day. That being said it IS the BEST Disney ride, hands down!

Think of it as if you were riding Thunder Mountain with each train car turning as if drifting, one way or the other, around curves.

It can mess with your equilibrium and cause some vertigo. It’s extremely smooth and will enjoy it if you just go with flow of the movements as you drift & leap through space.

I’ve never been on Thunder Mountain…too much for me🤣 I really am a true chicken when it comes to coasters…but I can do the simulators like avatar no problem…that’s why I’m so conflicted.
