Chicken boy went on the thrill rides and begged to go again!!! **Updated 1/14!!)

Corrine, I have finally found the trip report! I kept waiting for my email to tell me that there was an update on the pre-trip report. I am glad you sent me a message on FB! I am so happy that you tried Boma and liked it! It is one of our favorite restaurants. It is also notorious for being backed up and behind.

The 00 wait for Mickey is amazing! I am sure that Liam loved it.

I love your Kim Possible missions in Epcot. Liam looks like he had lots of fun trying new rides!

I will now stay up-to-date when you post new updates! I love all of the photos! :wizard:

Sorry I have been MIA for a while. Don't loose faith my friends, I promise to start day three soon. Love you all.:cloud9:

Once again I am sorry for being MIA for such a long time. It's been kind of hard to keep up with my TR knowing that I will not be able to go back probably to 2013. Unless I can win the lotto, than I a will be going back at Christmas no matter how busy it gets. LOL.

Well anyway, enough of the small talk, back to our report. You last time you left us we had left Epcot after a wonderful day. Next is day 3 in which we head to Disney's Hollywood Studio's. Now this was not the optimal day to go to DHS according to the crowd levels, but we decided to brave it because we had never seen Fantasmic and really wanted to see it.

After us getting to the park before rope drop really didn't work out for us the day before, we decided to sleep in a little and get there around opening. While Liam did his breathing treatments, I got ready. I really didn't feel like Pop tarts for breakfast today so I asked Liam if he wanted to eat breakfast at the All's Pop. He definatly agreed.

He got waffles and bacon, and I had pancakes with sausage. It was nothing to spectacular so I didn't take any pictures. I do remember that it was very crowded and we were lucky to be able to get seats inside. It was just to hot outside and I didn't want to have to eat outside.

After a nice breakfast, we refilled our mugs (had to get our money's worth) and headed to the bus. There was already a bit of a line, but with in a couple of minutes the bus showed up and we were on our way.

(This Picture was actually from our last day, but I needed a good picture to end the post. LOL)

No need to apologize for being MIA. I'm so glad you are continuing on with the TR!! Take your time. There's no hurry. I understand the Disney withdrawal between trips. When we lived in PA we did 2 trips a year to get discounts with our AP, then we'd take a hiatus from Disney for 2 years. Those were some of the longest 2 year stretches!! Christmas 2013 will be a beautiful time to go!

Love your photopass pics! Can't wait 'til my photopass cd comes in the mail!

I've been MIA myself as life has been so busy, and now our trip is getting so close.
Great start to your HS day!:thumbsup2 Can't wait to hear more!

So I find it intresting that when I was planning my trip to WDW that I was on here several times a day, and know that I am writting my TR I go days or more at a time with out coming back. I will finish this TR, I promise. :thumbsup2:rotfl2:

So we had just arrivied for our day at DHS. It turns out that our decision to get there right after rope drop was a good one for us. We were able to sleep in a little bit and not have to deal with the huge crowds rushing to the first ride. We got there just after 9 am and it was perfect for us.

Our first stop was the JTA. I had heard that the slots filled up quickly and Liam really wanted to participate in this event. We only waited about 15 minutes to sign for the 2:15 show (or at least close to that time). We meet a lovely family from England while we were waiting and Liam made one more friend, James. I remember I was able to foward on some of my knowledge I have learned to them, and I suggested one of the adults stay with the kids who wanted to do JTA while the other adult took the tickets to TSM to get some fast passes.:thumbsup2

With our reservation for JTA in hand we headed off the the ride that both Liam and I were looking foward to. Star Tour 2!!!!

DSC00504.jpg

Due to Liam's condition, we were able to go through the wheelchair entrance and about 5 minutes later we were handed our 3D glasses and waiting for our first ride on Star Tours. We were in the front row all the way to the right side though I found that the 3D effects were still very good. :3dglasses

*SPOILER**DO NOT READ IF YOU WANT TO BE SURPRISED AT RIDE**

We were greeted by Darth Vader as we started leaving the station who was looking for a Rebel Spy (someone in the ride but never us:sad2:) We than took off and found ourselves in a Pod Race at Tatooine. We win but almost crash, so we jump to light speed and are in the middle of a battle at the Death Star. After some fancy flying we were back where we started and safe. Both of us loved the ride and wanted to go back.

Being close to the area, we decided to go to Muppets 3D next.

We had seen this show the last time we had gone to WDW, but found that we still enjoyed the show very much. I actually found that I enjoyed it a little more than last time since I didn't loose my camera during the show. I took a couple of pictures later of the decorations outside the show but figured here was a good place to put them.

WaltDisneyWorld2011239.jpg

Well that is it for today. Thanks for sticking with me, and I will try to update again sooner.:goodvibes

So here we are back at Walt Disney World (wish I was really there), enjoying are day at Hollywood Studio's.

After we had seen the Muppet show we decided to head to one of Liam's favorites. Toy Story Mania.

Summer08134.jpg

The line was huge, well over and hour long. I am glad that we got the GAC card for Liam because there was no way he would have been able to do that line. We went through the wheelchair entrance and waited about 10 minutes for special car to pull in the loading zone. The ride was great as always (as if I have been on it more than once up to this point.:rotfl2:) I got the higher score, but not by to much and nothing compared to what other people were getting.

So than I looked at my smiling son and asked him what he wanted to do next. His smile broadened even larger as he said, "Star Tours!" Well of course Star Tours, should I have thought anything diffrent. So off we were back to ST. I tried to take a pick in the Que but we were so far up it didn't come out the way I wanted. But anyway, here it is.

WaltDisneyWorld2011191.jpg

This time we were again greeted by Darth Vader, went to Hoth, and finished the ride at Corsacant.

After this I asked Liam if we could do the Great Movie Ride. We didn't do it last time we were there and it was one of the rides I really wanted to do. He didn't want to do it at first, but agreed when I told him how much I wanted to do it.

On the way we came across the new street show. I forgot the name. I thought it was OK, but Liam really enjoyed it. Here are some pics.

WaltDisneyWorld2011179.jpg

Than we were off to the The Great Movie Ride.

WaltDisneyWorld2011175.jpg

I didn't take any pics during the ride, unfortunatly. But it was so much fun. We sat right next to the driver which was really nice. I noticed that she was from Illinois, I tried to talk to her about it but she was really busy. Also got some great enteractions from the female gangster as she adressed Liam and I personally because we were sitting right next to her.

Next we went to The Indiana Jones Stunt show. This was the second time we seen it and we both still loved it. Didn't take alot of pictures because I was to busy watching the show. But here is one for you.

WaltDisneyWorld2011188.jpg

Next it was time for lunch, but we will do that in the next installment.

Sounds like your HS morning went well.
I've been back for nearly a week now and have yet to even start a TR! There just doesn't seem to be as much time to visit the DIS boards when you're not planning a trip ;) lol

I know what you mean. Real life takes over and since it doesn't revolve around your unpcoming trip to Dis you get over here less and less. I am trying to get better though, and I will finish this TR. No matter how long it takes.:rotfl2:

Can't wait to read your TR.

So we had just seen the Indiana Jones show and were heading off to our reservations at Mama Melrose for lunch at 2:10.

olympus2010101.jpg

We got there about 2, so we had to wait a little bit. Liam had brough his Bey Blade with him and found this another great time to play with it. Of course he attracted the attention of another little girl and they played quietly until her table was called. A couple of minutes later we were called and making our way to the dinning room.

When our server came over to us he informed us that there was a special going on that day. Those adults on the Dinning Plan were able to get a starter for with there meal for no additional cost. Bonus!!!! So I ordered the clams for a starter, the steak for my meal, and cheese cake for dessert. Sorry for the lack of pictures. Forgot to get my food porn on. The steak was a little bit fatty, but everything was good and I would definatly go back there again.

Liam ordered some soup, spegetti with meat sauce, and make your own sundae for dessert. He did have some of my clams and said he loved everything he ate.

While we were eating, the family we met while waiting in line for JTA showed up and we said hi. We were getting close to the time we had to leave to do the JTA so I was worried that they would not make it because they had just sat down. Unfortunatly they didn't make it.:confused3

So with our bellies more than full, we headed off to JTA.

I video tapped the show (and will share it as soon as I find out how to do that) so I only have the PP pics to show you. Enjoy.

He was the first one who faught with Darth Vader so he thought he was very special. He couldn't stop talking about the "battle" and since we were right there we couldn't resist the pull to see ST another time. So quick as a flash we headed to the line. Darth Vader greeted us once again as our trip started, we were again in the pod race at Tantooine, but we ended the trip at Naboo which was our favorite ending. Great 3D effect at the end. That is all I will say if you have not seen it. For those who have seen it, you know what I am talking about.

Our day is quicly coming to an end but still not over. I promise to soon return to finish our exciting adventures at Hollywood Studios.

Great trip reporting, Corrine!!!
I totally relate that life gets in the way when you are not planning your upcoming trip to WDW and it is very hard to write about trip that has already come and gone. It is kind of depressing. At least Lidian has another trip to look forward to. We will not be going back until 2013 :sad1:. I keep promising myself and everyone else I will complete this TR. I started it, I will finish it....now I need to tell myself this over and over! :lmao:

So cool that Liam got to fight Darth Vader!!!! The pictures are precious. What great memories.

I look very closely at your pictures to see if I am in any of the background shots! :rotfl2:

Cannot wait for you to get your computer back so you can continue your TR!!!

O.k. So I figured out how to get around of the problems I have been having on Photobucket. It's going to take me longer to post everything, but hey it worth it for my fine readers. I know I have lost most of you along the way with my extended absents, but thank you for all of you who have stuck around and welcome to any who might find themselves pulled here.

So where were we? Ahhh yes, Liam had just faught Darth Vader and won. And than we took another trip on the ST. For those who are counting that will bring our ST rides to the number 3.

So next we decided to take a ride on the back lot tour. Alright I admite it. I decided that I wanted to go on the BLT and Liam went on with me because he loves his Mama.:love:Ahh, what a sweet boy I have.

The first thing we saw was the shed from the Hannah Montana Movie. Liam couldn't care less about this, but I snapped a picture for his sister at home who likes her.

WaltDisneyWorld2011202.jpg

Next we came upon the bone cage from Pirates of the Caribean. A very cool prop.

WaltDisneyWorld2011203.jpg

Than we came upon the small water tower. I have seen it in pictures and was happy to finally be able to see it in person.

WaltDisneyWorld2011204.jpg

Next we saw Herbie the Love Bug. Funny, didn't I see him before we left Illinois? He must be fast to make it all the way to florida in a couple of days. :rotfl2:

WaltDisneyWorld2011205.jpg

Than we saw our favorite pal Mickey Mouse.

WaltDisneyWorld2011207.jpg

Both Liam and I thought that this plan was very cool.

WaltDisneyWorld2011208.jpg

Tried to get a good picture of the water tower, but this was about the best I could do. The sun wasn't in a good spot.

WaltDisneyWorld2011210.jpg

Here is a picture of Liam enjoying the ride.

WaltDisneyWorld2011211.jpg

Here is a couple of pictures of the montain scene. We were directed to sit in certain seats because Liam wanted to get wet. Well, he got a little misting and that was all.

WaltDisneyWorld2011215.jpg

WaltDisneyWorld2011216.jpg

WaltDisneyWorld2011217.jpg

Than I took a picture of this, just because. :rotfl2:

WaltDisneyWorld2011218.jpg

I had to take a picture of this. It's the ship from the Flight of the Navigator. Love that movie.

WaltDisneyWorld2011220.jpg

Of course I had to take a picture of this for Liam. It's from Return of the Jedi.

WaltDisneyWorld2011221.jpg

A couple more pictures from inside the building after the ride was over.

Well that will be it for today since I just overwelmed you with pictures. Will be back soon to complete the day. Will we go on ST again? Where we eat for dinner? What unusual thing will happen during Fantasmic? I guess you will just have to keep reading to find out.

2013: That's still a trip to look forward to! Even if it's not booked and you don't have exact dates!

It would be awesome if we all went at the same time in 2013. :woohoo:

I agree that it was awesome that Liam got to fight DV! I'm a bit jealous. ;)

(I've also searched for myself in background pics of others who were there at the same time.)

I'm jealous. We got two rides. And they were 99% identical! (The "agent" was different, obviously.)

DD saw this and got excited ... but she's starting to realize that HM is not a good role model and has moved beyond that. She didn't even ask for me to take a picture. But she was excited to see something she recognized. (It took me a minute to place it, but after she described it a bit, I remembered watching the movie with her.)

I also LOVE BLT. It's a must do for us! How awesome of Liam to let you enjoy the ride!

I think it's impossible to get a good pic of the water tower. I tried and tried over the past three visits and no luck. NONE. Yours is much better than my best attempts.

FLIGHT OF THE NAVIGATOR!!!!!! This is a must-pic for me every trip! They keep moving it around though! Looks like it was moved between my May visit and your June one ... I almost missed it in May, but searched for it and saw it hidden over in some weeds. :headache: It was my favorite movie as a child!

Of course I had to take a picture of this for Liam. It's from Return of the Jedi.
