Chicken boy went on the thrill rides and begged to go again!!! **Updated 1/14!!)

So Lets try to finish this day up. I appologize once again for my absents, I can only find one solution for the dilema. . .Start a new PTR. So if there is anybody out there still reading feel free to join the new party. It is bound to be a long one since my next trip isn't planned for about 527 days.:)

So we were heading to Cosmic Rays for Lunch. We had made plans to meet another Diser and her fiancee there and they texted me while we were headed that way. A couple of minutes later we were there and trying to find a seat in the hugely crowded resteraunt.

Liam got a cheese burger which he liked, and I got a Chicken sandwich which I thought was a little dry. But than it was so crowded that I didn't see the fixing bar until we left. One problem I did have was that the CM tried to give me a medium drink when I ordered a large. She did fix it without a problem.

We enjoyed our meal and our Dismeet and soon it was time to leave.

This is when we had our next problem with the stroller. I didn't bring it inside because it was so crowded, but when I went to get it it was gone. I started looking franticly for it and was not finding it. I finally stopped a CM and explained what happened, he asked if I had looked at both Wheelchair entrances ( I left it at a wheelchair entrance) and sure enough it was at the other one.:headache:

After we had eaten, we decided it was time to head over to Splash Mountain.
It was a lot of fun as normal. Sorry no Pics.

We than headed over to BTMR. Now this is the little boy who did not want to go on rollercoasters and he was willing to try it. We had a blast and he wanted to go on again. . .so we did. At this time though it was raining so hard that we got more wet riding BTMR than SM.:lmao:

So after getting our thrills on we decided to head over to Aloha Isle and have a nice treat of Dole Whip. We found an nce sheltered area, sat on the floor, and hoped the rain would stop soon.

As we were eating guess who I got a text from. . . Singledad. He was there and on his way to meet us.

Sorry there are no pics for this post. I promise some for the next one.:thumbsup2

So we had just met up with Singledad and we were on our way to enjoying some MK time with our new friends/ family.

The rain was slowing down, but it was still drizzling a bit when we came arcoss Jungle Cruise. It wasn't currintly running but the CM said it should be up soon so we decided to wait.

The kids injoyed themselves getting to know each other a little better. (FYI- these next few pictures were taken by Singledad. So thank you.)

We did wait to long and soon we were on the ride. It's a little bit cheesy, but we still love it.:thumbsup2

After such a great time on JC we decided to go to the Aladdin Carpet Ride.
Here is a picture of Singledad and his DD enjoying the ride.

Than here is a picture of the camel. Watch out . . . they spit.:lmao:

WaltDisneyWorld2011317.jpg

Than singledad wanted to go on POTC, and who am I to say no. So back on POTC we go. I tried to take some pics during the ride, but with no flash they came out horrible. Here is a picture of a fontain during the que.

WaltDisneyWorld2011318.jpg

Than Singledad's DD really wanted to go on SM so we happily said yes and got in line.

We were going to see if we could go on again, but something was wrong and the ride was shutting down for a bit, so instead we went on BTMR again. For those of you keeping track this will be Liam and my 3 trip on this roller coster. Pretty good for a guy who didn't want to ride any roller coasters.

We than got in line to ride the tain back to the front of the park. Singledad's GAC was soaking wet from SM and he needed to get a new one. While we were waiting for the train a nice family gave us 4 fast passes for BTMR. We thanked her nicly and I put them in my bag. :thumbsup2

and I have to say sorry again... DD and I kinda took over their day! :sad1::sad2: I was just soo happy at how well MAGICAL Liam was working for DD! I will never forget my stupidity about/during the one ride... (Corrine should know what I mean, and I don't want to spoil ahead of time.)

Here is a picture of the back of her head...

Great MK updates! That is so awesome that you were able to meet up with each other. The kids looked like they were having a blast. The little girl beside them looks like she wanted to join the fun too.

Sorry the stroller went MIA again ... but glad you found it!!!!!

Also glad to hear you guys were having a great day, despite the rain! :goodvibes

Waiting patiently for more! popcorn::

I was there... and I am ALSO waiting not so patiently for more! :rotfl:

:lmao::lmao: :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Corrine better hurry up then. :p

:rotfl: I will be getting an up date to you hopefully tomarrow. Been busy trying to wrap up Christmas shopping and entertaining Liam's Dad who came into town from Main. :thumbsup2

Ok I am sorry I took so long, but I lost my notebook that had all my notes in it and it's amazing what you forget when you don't have your notes. :rotfl2:

So lets see, we just took the train to the front of the park for Guest Relations. We had decided to go to Buzz Lightyear next, but the Move It, Shake It, Celebrate It! Parade started right infront of us and we couldn't resist our front row places.

So as soon as the parade made it's way past us we hight tailed it Buzz Lightyear.

WaltDisneyWorld2011345.jpg

Had a great time as usual. The kids rode together and had a blast. I rode with singledad, and well. . .he kicked my butt. I let him control the car and evertime I aimed at something the car started moving. :headache: (Not blaming you Singledad. Had a great time.:thumbsup2)

WaltDisneyWorld2011346.jpg

So after this Singledad convinced Liam to try Space Montain. Unfortunatly there was a bit of a miscommunication at Space montain and Liam sat in the front, with Singledad's DD behind him, and Singledad behind her. I was in the front seat of the next car. Singledad has since appologized so there is no hard feelings.

I, unfortunatly, did not enjoy this ride. Things might have been diffrent if we were sitting together, but who knows. I liked the light effect at the beginning, but that was about it. The first time we went down a hill it wrenched my back so hard that it actually cracked. :headache: Everytime we went down a hill my back would be wrenched again. My back wasn't to happy by the end of the ride. At the time Liam said he didn't like it either, but has since said he wouldn't mind going down it again. I don't think I will be going on this one again.

After Space Montain Singledad and I went our seperate ways because we both had ADR's to make. We waited only about 5 minutes before our names were called. As we waited we started talking to another family and ended up giving them some of the FP for BTMRR. I hoped they enjoyed it.:thumbsup2

We both enjoyed Crystal Palace. We were both stuffed with all the food we ate and Liam was given a birthday card signed by all of the charactes and our server before we left. We also had some great interactions with the characters. They didn't stay long at our table but didn't seem rushed either. Liam is more of Hi, lets get a picture, bye sort of kid when it comes to characters.

After eating we headed back to BMTRR for one more ride. Liam really loved that ride and it was a nice effect to go on it when the sun was going down.

Since we already saw the parade and fireworks show, we decided to head back to Pop for some time at the arcade and pool.

One last picture of the castle before leaving MK.:thumbsup2

Next day, DAK.

The MiSiCi street party is DD's favorite "parade"! She moves it, shakes it, and celebrates it with the performers! I just love watching HER! :cloud9:

We were just talking about the BLSRS today. I asked DS if he'd ride with me in March ... why? Because DD won't let me spin the car. :lmao: It turns out, DS likes to spin the car and DH made him cry in May (because DH wouldn't let him touch the control). So now DS and I will fight over the control to spin the car and DD and DH can have a no-spinning car. :rotfl2::lmao:

But your story reminded me of DD and myself. She'd aim and I'd move the car and she'd frog me. I was going for whiplash ... I thought if I got whiplash, DH would feel sorry for me and give me a few extra days at WDW. :rotfl:

Space Mtn is pretty rough ... that I'll agree with. However, I love it anyway and look forward to riding it several times in March! DD loves it, but she's young and can handle the turbulence. :sad2:

Glad you enjoyed CP! I'm starting to look forward to my CP ADR. :goodvibes

Glad you had a good day overall at MK!

...................................... <------- That's D~, showing up late (really late)

But I read everything...

Loved the pics of the Cantina food... Num... Oh well, we have 2 days planned at Epcot - we'll just have to have Mexican on that second day... :thumbsup2

I love that Liam was so brave through out the whole trip... He has gone on tons of coasters - there's nothing better than a Disney coaster though.

Boma looked awesome - I am looking forward to eating there... I was thinking I would have to use some of our snack credits for Zebra Domes, I am very happy to find out that they are at Boma with our meal.

I think most people get the DDP without knowing anything about it. The agent they talk to says they can save up to 20% and they go "Dur dur okay!" Most people can and do save a nice amount of money, but they have to know HOW. :thumbsup2

And yes, it's kind of vague on how to use it at a CS establishment and most people have no clue. But I don't fault them ... but I wish they'd step aside sometimes. :lmao::rotfl2:

Can you please enlighten me... What am I missing? This isn't our first WDW trip - but it's our first DDP trip... Can you give me some CS advice??? :lovestruc

Corrine, I can't believe you are doing a TR and a PTR all at one time! :worship:

Can you please enlighten me... What am I missing? This isn't our first WDW trip - but it's our first DDP trip... Can you give me some CS advice??? :lovestruc

I'm sure you aren't missing anything! However, in our past trips, people stand there, unsure of what's included for the CS, or even how to pay for it. I'm not being mean (maybe I am, but I don't mean it) ... but sometimes I wish people would be courteous and step aside if they're going to fumble around and stare at the menu at the ordering kiosk. (That's just in general, and not always in regards to DDP.) They have signs everywhere that says what is included in the DDP, some people just don't know how to read them, so they get to the kiosk and have the CM explain it to them -- which takes time. My precious WDW time! I could have already ordered and be waiting for food!

But I know you and you've done your research! You know what's included with your DDP for TS and CS meals alike! And hopefully you're the type that stands back and looks at the menu before jumping in line (or can pick quickly from standing in line), so you're not standing at the ordering kiosk still debating on what you want, and asking 124387643641 million questions about what's included with the DDP. :p

Yes, I'm horrible I know. I've already been told where I'm going. :lmao:

I do recommend that you have your KTTW card ready when you get in line, all your options picked out before you reach the ordering kiosk (the CM taking orders at the cash register), and tell them before ordering you're on the DDP. Then order away, hand over your card, get your food and pig out! :cloud9:

Some desserts (not on the menu, but on display) are available for your credits. Some are not. For instance ... the DV cupcake was eligible for the DDP. We were ordering, I went last, and I asked. She said yes, so DH had to change his dessert. None of us thought it would be -- but it was! I know if it comes with a souveniour container, it is NOT included. But if you're unsure of a display item, just ask! (But have a backup plan in case it's not covered.)

And some people ... bless their souls ... ask at every establishment what is included. It doesn't change. Full buffet + beverage. Beverage, entree, and dessert. Every place. :thumbsup2 But you know all this already, because you do your research!!

OH, I just wrote a whole novel on one of my pet peeves. :lmao:

I am glad you made it over here for my TR. For awhile I thought I was wrighting for myself, so I am glad that I have another reader. I am determined to finish this TR. Only two days to go.:thumbsup2

I agree with everything that Lidian said. People see that they can save up to 20% and don't do anymore research. The DDP isn't that hard as long as you know what you are doing. Plus knowing what you want before you get to the CM taking your order frees up everyones time. I don't know how many times I heard someone in line asking what came with her CS credit. The CM might have been polite as they explained it, but I wanted to scream. I alway knew what I wanted and my order went quickly and painlessly. The DV cupcake was the only time that I asked a question.

I also do my reserch on what we are going to order at each resteraunt to make sure that the DDP is in fact saving us money. If you order the cheapest meals in the park everytime the DDP will not be saving you any money. It will actually cost more than if you paid OOP.

I hope Lidian and I were able to put your fears at rest. With as much research as you have done I wouldn't worry about you, but be prepared to roll a few eyes as someone in front of you ask those DDP questions.:goodvibes

Thanks girls :)

Now for the most annoying question ever... What in the world is a DV cupcake???? It's probably plainly obvious, but I thought I'd ask anyways...

D~ <---- See, I don't know everything... ;)

It was a Darth Vader cupcake that was available at certain resteraunts at DHS during Star Wars Weekends (was also available the whole week, not just the weekends.) It was a choclate/Peanut butter cupcake with a edible Darth Vader head on a small disc on top. There is a picture in Lidian's May TR.:thumbsup2

Mmmmm.... That does sound delicious... I wonder if Disney will ship a cupcake? :confused3 I am not sure I could justify another trip just to eat a cupcake, I am not even sure I could explain that to DH. :rotfl2:

And I wouldn't bother reading the TR ... it's bland and boring. :rotfl2:

Thanks for the cupcake... I was actually telling DH over dinner (leftovers) that I wished I was eating a Darth Vader cupcake... He totally didn't get it.

Oh - and your TR... Thanks a lot - I am actually about half way through... Reading "Does the Crankypants ruin the day?" currently.... And I am actually enjoying reading it.

I do have a question for you Liddy, though... I think it would be super fun for the girls and I to do the Pirate Leage... Do you have any more info about it? Do you need to make ADRs? And can girls be pirates too - or do they have to be mermaids... Because we would all totally want to be pirates. LOL

D~

You definitely need an ADR for TPL. There's an official thread for it somewhere (I posted a review on it -- can scrounge it up if you need it). The Mermaid package was a Limited Time offer, so it is no longer available.

The cost is around $30, ADRs are a must (they can sometimes fit in a walk-in, but not often), it's for ages 3-38917492648, so adults are more than welcome to do it! They have several face paint options you can choose from. Girls can pick any of the looks, but they do have a female pirate look as well (called Emporess, IIRC). On the official thread and the WDW website for TPL, it lists what is included in the package. As you can see, the kids got a ton of loot! The Emporess is slightly different package from the Pirate faces, but for the most part, it's just the look that varies (the Emporess package comes with a bottle of nail polish instead of something -- and a couple of other minor details).

IF you book it, I highly recommend taking a good eye makeup remover. DH was able to wash DS's face in the MK restroom after dinner, but it was a pain. And not real easy around the eyes.

I totally recommend it! The cast is in character and it was a TON of fun! I'd love to do it myself, but don't want to budget the time for it. :lmao:

And just think ... you'll get to meet Crankypants in the flesh soon! :goodvibes

So I am not Liddy but I will happily answer your question, or at least as much as I know.

To make sure you get the time that you want it is probably best that you get a reservation. You might still be able to get in if you don't but you might have to wait a long time.

Yes girls can be made to be pirates (and so can parents) the mermaid thing was only available for a limited time (because of the new PotC movie) and I beleive it is no longer available. Talking about pirates I just found the cutest mouse ears at the Disney outlet story for $3. It is black ears with a pink head wrap that say Pirate Princess. I will try to take a picture tomarrow and put in my PTR.:thumbsup2
