Chicken boy went on the thrill rides and begged to go again!!! **Updated 1/14!!)

Great trip reporting, Corrine!!!
I totally relate that life gets in the way when you are not planning your upcoming trip to WDW and it is very hard to write about trip that has already come and gone. It is kind of depressing. At least Lidian has another trip to look forward to. We will not be going back until 2013 :sad1:. I keep promising myself and everyone else I will complete this TR. I started it, I will finish it....now I need to tell myself this over and over! :lmao:

So cool that Liam got to fight Darth Vader!!!! The pictures are precious. What great memories.

I look very closely at your pictures to see if I am in any of the background shots! :rotfl2:

Cannot wait for you to get your computer back so you can continue your TR!!!

Funny because I was looking for me and Liam in the back ground of your shots as well. No luck as of yet. :lmao: I know what you mean. It seems a little sad to be here when I am not planning a trip right now. Though I am going to start planning for my 2013 trip when I am done here. A year isn't to much time to start planning, right?:lmao:

Was able to figure out how to do the picture.:woohoo::woohoo:

2013: That's still a trip to look forward to! Even if it's not booked and you don't have exact dates!

It would be awesome if we all went at the same time in 2013. :woohoo:

I agree that it was awesome that Liam got to fight DV! I'm a bit jealous. ;)

(I've also searched for myself in background pics of others who were there at the same time.)

That would be cool if we could if we all went in 2013 at the same time. We will have to keep on that.

I wish I could have faught DV too, but alas I am to old. This was probably Liam's last year to do it as well. I will always have the pics and the video.

Looks like I missed your October updates. They are great. Love the Jedi training pics. He is really enjoying himself!! Why would this be his last year doing jedi training? Will he be 13?

Well, for the record, it will probably be August 2013 (or later) when I go. :goodvibes One of the girls said she can't take her vacation until August.

And I'm already planning that trip ... well, a bit anyway. Can't do too much without knowing what days/week.

Is there an age limit for JTA? I was going to attempt to sign the kids up for it in March, but DD will be 10. :confused3

No, he will be 10 this next May, but since I decided to take all the kids one at a time I will be unable to take him again until after he turns 13. That is unless some one wants to give me a couple of grand, I win the lottery, or I get an inheritance from a rich family member I didn't know about.

Glad to see you be tink. Have you started your TR yet. I am a little behind the times here. Didn'e even know Lidian was on her way back until a couple of days agao. :rotfl2::lmao::rotfl:

Well I was kind of planning for end of May again, but who knows, maybe you can change my mind. I am kind of starting to plan things in my head as well such as things we have to do, where to stay, how long to stay and such as that. But things don't really seem to be real until you book that trip, right?

As for JTA, I believe you can be older than 12. Your DD should be fine, just make sure to sign up as soon as possible. Get in line with the kids to sign up while your DH runs and grabs some FP's for TSM or other ride you want to go on.

Sounds like a good plan to me! (Yours and the suggestion you gave me for JTA.) :thumbsup2

The TR from the October trip is done. Click the pink TR in my siggie and that will take you to the table of contents. I need to update the table of contents but the first few updates are linked there. It's a continuous TR that started March 2011.

Corrine!!! So glad you remembered how to use Photobucket!!! :rotfl2:
Loving all your pics! I, especially, love the one of Liam. He is such a cutie!
It looks like you both had a great experience on the Back Lot Tour. I am with Lidian. I think you guys rode ST a bunch more times. I even saw you guys running up the line at one point. :lmao: So I know you guys LOVED it! Cannot wait to read more!!!!!!

Your October TR is already done? And my May TR is not even half way done? :scared1:Goodness,I need to get my butt moving. I admite I was dragging my feet at first, but now 6 months later I just need to get it done. :rotfl2:

:rotfl2:You are too funny TK. I remember how to use Photobucket, it hasn't been that long. I just couldn't copy and paste anything on this barrowed computer. There lots of child locks on this computer and don't have a password to bypass them. Hopefully my computer will be fixed this weekend. I did find out how to work around it though. Yea me!!!!!

We had a blast on BLT pointing out all the diffrent props. Very glad that we did it. And I guess you will just have to wait to see how many more times we rode ST. :lmao: I'm so wicked!!!

So as previously stated it is time to get this TR back into gear. I will try to do daily updates until I am complete and than I can start planning by trip with my DD in 2013. Maybe that will help me get out of the Disney Dulldrums.

So we had just left the Back Lot Tour, took a lot of pictures and had a lot of fun. So what did we do next, . . . no not ST :rotfl2: I actually think this is when we saw Light, Motors, Action! show. I am not really sure though since it's been six months, I forgot to write it down in my book, and I didn't take any pictures of it. Here is one I stole from Photobucket.

100_2119.jpg

The show was a lot of fun and Liam really enjoyed the action of it all. Now that I am thinking of it I think we saw it before BLT because we saw some of the backstage stuff during the ride and remembered it from the show. Oh well, can't always remember everything.

So what was next. . . Not we did not go back to ST, we did go on other rides at DHS than ST people.:lmao::rotfl: We actually decided to go back to TSM. But on the way we took a couple of pictures.

WaltDisneyWorld2011229.jpg

WaltDisneyWorld2011230.jpg

WaltDisneyWorld2011231.jpg

Than we took a couple of pics while we were waiting in the line at TSM.

WaltDisneyWorld2011232.jpg

WaltDisneyWorld2011234.jpg

WaltDisneyWorld2011235.jpg

WaltDisneyWorld2011239.jpg

Once again we had a great time on the ride. I would like to say we blew the compition out of the water, but the truth is that while we both did well, we still need some practice to get even close to some of those scores.:rotfl2:

Where did we go this time, yea your right this time, we headed back to ST which has become Liam's favorite ride. For those who are keeping track we are now going to go on ride # 4.:woohoo:

But on the way a couple more pics. Can never have enough pics right?

My son the Star Wars Toy.:lmao:

WaltDisneyWorld2011237.jpg

WaltDisneyWorld2011238.jpg

So we go on ST one last time for today. Yea this will be it for ST today.:guilty:

We were once again greeted by Darth Vader, raced our pod racer in Tantooine, and ended our journey in Naboo which became our favorite ending.

So now it was time to have some dinner. We didn't have a ADR for dinner so we decided to head of to Pizza Planet for some pizza.

summer07101.jpg

We both order Cheese pizza with salad. Liam got a cookie for dessert, I saw a picture of a very yummy Darth Vader cupcake and asked if I could get it as the dessert for my qs credit. The answer was YES!!!! It was so good, but we were so full that even with Liam's help we couldn't finish it.

100_1023.jpg

Next we were off to see Fantasmic! Luckily I had the Ticket from the Fantasmic Dinning Package because it was already jammed packed. We still had about 30 min until the show, so I pulled out the glow stick braclets and had Liam give them to some of the kids around us. Because of this he made a few friends and they kept each other occupied until the show started.

The Show was fantastic. While the seats were not bad, I must admite that it would have been better in the middle. Especially when the boats came out with all the characters. I tried to take some pictures but they didn't come out very well.

WaltDisneyWorld2011240.jpg

WaltDisneyWorld2011253.jpg

While many people started leaving before the show was over, we stayed till the very end and was very happy with the show. Amazing.

Unfortunatly a bright spot was not to end our day.
Since Liam was able to use the stroller as a wheelchair we were able to bring it into the theatre, but we didn't want to sit in wheelchair area so we left it with some CM's and sat closer to the front.
We went back to ask a CM where it was they had no clue and dircted me to the stroller parking area. So there we are making the trek to find the stroller. We wearched two stroller parking area and were starting to freak out that someone stole are stroller. Walking back to the theatre we finally find it sitting by a garbage can.

I did go to guest service and told them what happened. I let them know how much fun we had during the rest of the day, but this one little thing kind of brought it to a sour note. They appologized and promised that they would fix the problem.

Well with our day over, we headed back to our room, Liam did his treatment for the night and we went to sleep excited about our next day at the Magic Kingdom.:banana::banana:

So after completing day 3 of our WDW trip I realized that I missed a few pictures in the mix. So I am going to add them here.

Oh that's right. We did go to the Hunny I shrunk the Kids Playground some time today. Goodness the things you forgot.

WaltDisneyWorld2011196.jpg

Liam wanted a picture with Walt himself.

WaltDisneyWorld2011195.jpg

Ahh, a Mickey Bar for a Snack Credit. Can't get much better than that.

WaltDisneyWorld2011194.jpg

Of course we had to take some pictures of Liam on the Speeder.

WaltDisneyWorld2011193.jpg

WaltDisneyWorld2011192.jpg

He doesn't look like he's enjoying that Mickey bar at all. :lmao:

Love the pics! Adorable!!! :cloud9:

ACK! Apparently when I clicked the page, it didn't take me to the first update. But I noticed it.

How was Pizza Planet? I was considering lunch there in March ... but haven't heard the greatest reviews.
I was close on the ST guess! lol
Totally loved the pics!
Sorry to hear about the missing stroller. That really stinks. You'd think that since it was considered a "wheelchair", they'd keep better track of where they would place it.

No I don't think he enjoyed the Mickey Bar at all. :lmao:
I just asked him and his eyes got real large and he said "Yummy, Yummy, Yummy!"

Thank you. I guess I will keep him.:rotfl2:

ACK! Apparently when I clicked the page, it didn't take me to the first update. But I noticed it.

I never trust that button so I alway back track to make sure I see everything. It is very common that the last post on a page gets missed.

I am not going to tell you that Pizza Planet was great, but it about the same as Pizza hut or Dominos IMHO. We both enjoyed it enough to eat most of are food until we were stuffed, but though Liam does not vere far from basic food, neither of us could be considered food snobs and will eat about anything edible. :rotfl2::rotfl2

I was close on the ST guess! lol

Hey you might be closer to that guess than you think because we are going back to DHS on Friday for SWW.:banana::banana:

Yea that pretty much sucked about the stroller, but I was so much happier when we found it. And it's not the only time I lost the stroller on this trip either. :scared1: I actually think the CM's were to busy talking to each other than to worry about a kid with special needs stroller.:confused3 Oh, well, refused to let it get me down.

Well if you venture back to DHS, then my count must be waay off. Can I change it to a 57? :lmao::rotfl2:

I really like Backlot Express's food ... but we've eaten there two years in a row. I'd kind of like something different ... but I don't want to decide now, because what if we don't feel like pizza or "whatever". So I'd like to keep my options open, but know what could potentially be good and what we might want to consider avoiding.

We aren't food snobs either. We'll eat about anything. DS is my picky eater, and he can usually be pleased. DH does good at convincing him to try new things.

Perhaps in the future, you can get the names of careless CMs so they can get a reminder about such an important issue. Honestly, I think if it were me, I'd insist the CMs find the stroller since it was a "wheelchair". We had to rent a wheelchair in 2009, but we never had issues with it being misplaced. Sometimes it was much further away than we needed it to be ... but DH would go get it and bring it to us.

I am sorry that you did have stroller/wheelchair issues. I'm glad you didn't let it slow you down or ruin your fun, though!! :goodvibes

57?!?!?!?!?! Really what did you think we did all day, just ride ST all day. You would get pretty sick of ST by than. Well Liam might not, but I sure would.:lmao:

It's good to have options when you go to eat that meal that doesn't get an ADR. Unfortunatly there doesn't seem to be to much selection at DHS in the food departmant. I mainly chose Pizza Planet because I knew Liam would injoy the arcade/games area. Just to warn you though, it was very crowded and was getting a little testy because it was taking so long. Not to mention that people don't know what they are doing with QS credits. More people should be like us and do there reserch.:banana:

The problem was the CM's at the end of the show were diffrent from the ones I saw before. And the new ones were pretty sure that it would be in stroller parking. I wish I had gotten their names, though Guest services promised to look into the problem.

I do think some people have a hard time looking at the stroller and thinking of it as a "Wheelchair" It did have the sticker, but it wasn't alway easy to spot because I didn't want anyone to try to steal it. I also had a women ask me why my son got special treatment at ST when she saw up going up the wheelchair ramp. She thought it was because of his birthday (Liam was wearing his birthday button) and thought her Daughter should be able to "cut" the line as well. I had to explain the circumstances to her as tactfully as I could. Especially with Liam right there, he can be a little imbarresed when I start talking about his Medical Condition.
Goodness, I wrote a lot. I better stop before it becomes the Corrine and Lidian show.

Hope to start MK tomarrow.

That's a shame about the stroller. But I'm so glad you got to try the Darth Vader cup cake! If I could eat chocolate, that would be one cupcake that I'd want to try! Great pics and updates!

Take your time. There's no hurry, no race.

It's hard for some people to understand hidden disabilities.

Not being able to find the stroller was probably one of the lowest parts of the trip. I was freaking out. Thinking that someone might have stollen it and now I was out a Maclauren stroller (which are not cheap) and would have to figure out how to fit a rented stroller into the budget since Liam can't do that much walking for another 3 days.

That cupcake was soooo good. Peanut butter choclate, what a great combo. I am sorry you are unable to ear choclate, I'll happily eat you portion.:rotfl:

Yea having a hidden disabbility is tough for him. Sometimes people think he is getting special treatment when he is just getting the little extra help he needs to get through.

So on day one we arrived at WDW and spent the eveining at MK.
On day two he hoped to avoid the crowds of Memorial Day and headed to Epcot.
One day three we enjoyed our day riding ST's at DHS.
So where are we going to go on day four?
.
.
.
Yea I know the suspense is killing you.
.
.
.
.
:rotfl2:
.
.
.
.
Alright it isn't much a suprise since I already told you where we are going.
Back to
Magic Kingdom.
:banana::yay::woohoo:

So we got up about 7:30 in the morning and basically did the same thing we did every morning. Liam did his treatment while I got some drinks, took a shower, and got ready for the day. We at are pop tarts and fruit bars in the room as we watched the Disney Channel on TV.

By about 8:30 we were basically ready and heading out the door. Now we had chosen this day to go to MK because crowd levels were below a 5, but when we went out side to get the bus the crowd was huge. So mom decided to be a little adventurous. We took the nearly empty bus to Epcot, took the monorail from Epcot to the MK ticket center, and than took the boat to MK. Alright, I know in the long run it probably took us longer to do it this way than wait for a second MK bus to show up, but could I have gotten these pictures if I did.

Had to get a picture of the Grand Floridian. Maybe I will be able to stay there one day after I win the lottery.

WaltDisneyWorld2011255.jpg

Loving the picture of Cindy's Castle in the distance.

WaltDisneyWorld2011256.jpg

WaltDisneyWorld2011258.jpg

And I couldn't resist taking a pic of Space Mountain, such a iconic thing at MK.
WaltDisneyWorld2011257.jpg

So we make our way through the front gate and toward the castle making a beeline toward Fantasy Land. Though on the way we encountered the trolley show.

WaltDisneyWorld2011259.jpg

WaltDisneyWorld2011260.jpg

WaltDisneyWorld2011261.jpg

WaltDisneyWorld2011262.jpg

I really enjoyed the show. I especially loved The Trolley Song (Clang, Clang, went the Trolley) and since I happen to know this song I was singing along. Luckily I have a decent voice because they might have told me to shut up.:lmao:

After the show was over we continued our walk toward the castle and on the way to FL. I couldn't help take a picture of one of the pictures on the walls.

WaltDisneyWorld2011263.jpg

Sorry i had to split the post up because it had to many images. What can I say I love a TR loaded with pictures.

So what would be our first ride of day. . . Well Dumbo of course.:thumbsup2

WaltDisneyWorld2011264.jpg

I could help but take a picture of the castle while we were flying on dumbo.

WaltDisneyWorld2011266.jpg

I tried to get a good picture of the Beasts Caslte, but this was about as good as I could get.

WaltDisneyWorld2011267.jpg

Next we headed to Mickey's Philharmagic.

We both love this show. What a great use of 3D magic. We both left with smiles on our faces.

So what was next on the agenda. . .It's a small world of course. It's not a trip to WDW with out going to IASW at least once, right?:rotfl2:

Here is Liam waiting to get on the ride.
(I just realized that this was waiting for Philharmagic. Oops)
WaltDisneyWorld2011268.jpg

WaltDisneyWorld2011269.jpg

WaltDisneyWorld2011270.jpg

So will this be it for FL, Nope. Next we are on the way to the mad Tea Party. So as we made our way there I told Liam that he had to find a new friend to go on with or go by himself because if I got on that ride it would not end well. Luckily while we were waiting in line he meet a boy and his dad and asked if he could go on with them. They had no problem with that. :yay:

WaltDisneyWorld2011271.jpg

WaltDisneyWorld2011272.jpg

WaltDisneyWorld2011273.jpg

I took this picture when I was waiting for him to get off the ride.

WaltDisneyWorld2011274.jpg

So having gone on all the ride in FL we said a fond goodbye and were on our way. Wait a minute, you say. What about Winnie the Pooh and Peter Pan. Well if you remember we had already done those on Sunday night.

So what would be the next thing we did? I guess you will have to just wait and see.:thumbsup2

Yes. I think that's what you did all day. :lmao::rotfl2::lmao::rotfl2:

I loved it ... and I'd totally ride it over and over if I could! :cloud9:

And yes, totally good to have options. Especially since most CS places have very little variety.

I think most people get the DDP without knowing anything about it. The agent they talk to says they can save up to 20% and they go "Dur dur okay!" Most people can and do save a nice amount of money, but they have to know HOW. :thumbsup2

And yes, it's kind of vague on how to use it at a CS establishment and most people have no clue. But I don't fault them ... but I wish they'd step aside sometimes. :lmao::rotfl2:

We usually eat lunch real early. I prefer lunch right at around 11am, and it's usually not too bad. We are creatures of habit ... :rotfl:

Totally loving the pictures! Can't wait to see what's next! popcorn::

Great news, we were able to get a new power supply for the computer and it is now working fine. Was a little worried that the mother board would be fried and I would not be able to access my pics and the 30 pages of a book that I started writing. Now I need to get a storage device to download them into as a back up in case it happens again. It's great to be able to be on my computer and not be asked about a pass word every 5 seconds. I also missed my FB games soooo much.

So anyway, back to the TR. We had just left FL and were heading around the hub when we ran across my favorite ride of all time. The Haunted Mansion.

Last we went to WDW during Liam's Wish trip we went through the exit of HM with alot of problems and misunderstandings. Since the line was short, we wanted to enjoy the special que to this ride, and we didn't want to deal with the problems we did last time we decided to park the stroller and go through the line.

There were some people in line who were unaware of Madame Leora's eyes opening so Liam and I told them. We were all excieted to see it.

WaltDisneyWorld2011288.jpg

WaltDisneyWorld2011289.jpg

WaltDisneyWorld2011290.jpg

Can you tell that we loved the Que/ There was more than one time that we let people go infront of us since we were enjoying the Que so much.

The ride was amazing as usual. I just loved the new hitch hicking ghost effect.

When we got to HM it had started drizzling and when we stepped out of the ride it was obvious that it had started raining and was drizzling again. So quickly we headed off the next ride, Pirates of the Caribean.

WaltDisneyWorld2011293.jpg

WaltDisneyWorld2011292.jpg

PotC was fun as always. Really enjoyed the Black Beard addition. Changed it up a little.

When we left it was really comming down and it was only about 11 o'clock so we still had about an hour until our Dis meet at Cosmic Rays for lunch. So what would be a great place to try and wait out the rain. Why the Hall of Presidents of course.

Now this was another one of these rides that I thought Liam might be board with and had no intention of going to. It was very intresting and nice to be able to sit down for awhile and not be wet.

WaltDisneyWorld2011291.jpg

After the show it was still raining but not to hard, so we put on are Poncho's that we brought from home and headed to Cosmic Ray's for lunch.
