Chicken boy went on the thrill rides and begged to go again!!! **Updated 1/14!!)

WS fun!

I'd like to do the pick-a-pearl on my trip, but I think I should wait for the next family trip when my DDs would be with me. We did that at Sea World a few years ago and the girls loved getting their pearls.

As we were waiting Liam found his first purchase of the trip. I think it was called a bay blade, it a sort of electronic top that makes noises. It is amazing to me that we travel all the way to Disney World to buy a toy that he could buy at Toys-R-Us.:confused3

My boys like BeyBlades too! Our last 2 trips they bought Bakugan and Webkinz at the parks that we could have gotten (cheaper) from our local stores! This year they wised up and didn't do that even though they gift stores in Japan have alot of the toys they like. :sad2:

My oldest son use to collect beyblades. They can really do some damage to floors and moulding, and bath tubs! Did you buy him a bey blade stadium once you got home?

Great pics. Did the phone ring while he was in the booth at UK? How did you make out with the pearls? Did you get a cage for them or have them set?

I know with my kid it is more of a... i know i can buy what i want here, without being told no, or wait.... cause it is vacation and my own spending money!

i just always told her that if she spent that much now, she would only hav e this much left for later... which worked very well.

love the phone booth pics!

Did you pick any settings for your pearls?

cant wait to hear about Coral Reef!

Isn't that just like a kid wanting something on their special vacation what they could get down the street from their home at the local Toys R Us?....:rotfl2:
How are you all handling the heat wave in the midwest? It is miserable here. Praying for rain.

I know what you mean. I tried to explain that he could buy these at Toys R Us or Walmart, but it didn't change his mind. He really wanted it. It turned out to be a life saver at resturaunts while we were waiting. I thought it would bug other people, but Liam is good about getting the other kids to play to so I think alot of parents were happy to have something to keep them occupied.:lmao:

It's been horribly hot here this last week. It was so hot on wednesday that you could have fried an egg on the sidewalk. Really. Than on Thursday I took the kids to Six Flags for the water park and even though I applied sunscreen I still got a little burned. And I was laughing at the people who were caking on white blobs of sunscreen on their families. Guess they got the last laugh.:rotfl:

I definatly loved picking a pearl. My friend who got 7 of them says she gets some everytime that she comes to Epcot (they are DVC owners) and has a jar full of them at home. Hmmm, I wonder how much money that jar is worth???:rotfl2: I definatly recommend doing it with your DD's. It's a lot of fun and you have a great item to remember your trip.:thumbsup2

I guess boys will be boys right.:lmao: Countless times Liam wanted to buy things and I had to remind him that he only had so much on his card and once it was gone I wasn't going to be giving him any more money. I really wanted him to save some money for friday when we went to Star Wars weekend. I can see how Japan could attract them with all the toys they had.:hippie:

I didn't even know about the stadium, I might have to check it out for christmas. He hasn't really been playing with it since we got home so I haven't really worried about it. I'm sure the stadium with renew his intrest.:lmao:

The phone didn't ring when we were taking the picture, that would have been cool though. I could just imagine Liam's face.:goodvibes We got a 7mm pink, a 7 1/4 mm pink, and a 7 1/4 mm gold. I have not bought a setting for them yet. I am thinking about getting me and Mia matching settings but haven't had time yet. I gave the 7 1/4 mm to my mom for her gift and she is talking about getting it set into a grandmother ring since Aidan's birth stone in pearl.

I told the same thing to Liam and he really wanted it so I let him get it. It was his money after all. He did have a $100 gift card at the beginning of the trip so he still had lots of money to spend.:thumbsup2 We actually had some left when we got to the airport and bought one last thing at the Disney store there.

love the phone booth pics!

We have not got any settings for the pearls yet. I gave my mom one and the other two are for me and Mia. I want to do a matching setting for ours but haven't had time to research them yet. I have seen the ones on ebay and have thought about it, but being only a couple of bucks they are not real silver so I am hoping to find something with real silver.:confused3

I am looking forward to doing the Pick-a-Pearl with my dd for her birthday gift.
Love your photos of WS, can't wait to go there, I feel like I missed so much on our last trip.

So the last time you left us we were in Canada and heading back to the Sea's Pavillion to have dinner at Coral Reef.

Now out of all the reservations I have made for this trip, Coral Reef was one that I was looking foward to the most. I ended up putting a Celebration on almost every reservation because we were celebrating Liam's 9th birthday, but this was the only one that I placed as celebrating my birthday even though it wasn't until August. We all need to get into the celebrating, right?

So it was about 5:45 and our reservation was for 6:05 so we were walking quite fast toward the resturaunt. I saw the Water play area as we walked there and I was a little sad that we didn't have time to stop there. It would have been nice to cool off in some water, it was so very HOOTTT!!! But than again it wouldn't be a good idea to get wet and than have to go to an air conditioned resteraunt.:lmao:

We made good time and were at Coral Reef by 6 pm.

CoralReef.jpg

They took my name and we went to the waiting area to wait for our names to be called. And waited. . .and waited. . .and waited. Finally at about 6:25 they called our name and we were walking into the sitting area. Now before every one starts saying that waiting 20 min past reservation time is horrible, when I got back to the room I checked my book with all my plans and the reservation was actually for 6:20. Guess who didn't leave the book in the room again.:confused3

Luckily Liam had his Beyblade to keep him busy. He made a friend with a little girl and they played together for a little bit until her family was called. They were sitting a couple of tables away and waved to us as we sat down.

We had a great table. Right infront of the tank there were two double tables right next to each other. An older couple were sitting right next to the tank and we were sitting right next to them.

I got the Pan-seared Seasonal Catch - with wild mushroom and bay scallop risotto with celery, root Nage finished with parsley-truffle oil. It was so good and I relished every bite. I don't remember what the seasonal catch was, but it was excellent and I ate every bite of it.

WaltDisneyWorld2011144.jpg

Liam got the Lobster soup for an appitizer, and than got the Mai Mai, broccolli, and mashed potatoes for his entree. He loved the food and like me ate every bite. I just asked him to describe the food and he said "Fishy". Ah, out of the mouths of babes. . .:lmao:

WaltDisneyWorld2011145.jpg

As we waited for our meals, we snacked on some bread. It was warm and so good. I only ment to have one so I wouldn't fill up before dinner and ended up having two.:goodvibes

For dessert Liam had the make your own sunday in which he enjoyed playing with before he ate it. Dessert and a craft all in one, who would have thought. I couldn't resist the choclate wave and must admite that it was all that it was hyped up to be. Soooo good!!!

dessert_chocolate_wave.jpg

When the waitress brought out the dessert there was candle in Liam's dessert. She had asked about our celebration and I ended up admiting that it had just been Liam's birthday and mine was not until August. She also gave Liam a half dozen plastic dolphins. So very sweet of her.

About an hour after we arrived, we left the Coral Reef feeling stuffed and satisfied. Remembering that we didn't get any pictures with Nemo and friends earlier we headed over there for some pics.

So crossing this off that off our list of things to do, I notice we still had some time before Illuminations. So I asked Liam what he wanted to do giving him the options of Soarin' or Test Track. Guess what he choose? TEST TRACK!!! That is where we get the name of this TR. Especially since when we got off he begged to go on again.:rotfl2: So we had a total of 3 rides on TT (two than and one from earlier) before we headed back to Canada to stake out our places for Illuminations.

YAY! For Liam to conquer his fears. So very proud of the lil' guy!!!
Corral Reef's catch of the day looked delish and I especially like the looks of that chocolate heaven dessert!
Great update! Cannot wait to read more!popcorn::

Mmmmmm, your dessert looks so yummy! In fact, your entire dinner sounds like it was a good one!

I love these photos!!:goodvibes

.......

So know our Mission is done in China and we head to Germany to start our mission there. I must admite that I am less than a happy camper at this time. I haven't followed my own advice and hadn't had anything to drink since we left the Cantina. At this point I am hot and my head is throbbing. I admite that I was getting a little short tempered with Liam who was asking me to help hime with some of the big words and clues from KP. I decided for both of our sanity to finish the mission in Germany and than stop KP and explore in a more leisurly pace. I think Liam was a little dissappointed but he understood why and didn't complain. What a good boy I have.:thumbsup2

You DO have a good boy! I think the KimPossible Missions look like so much fun. We got a ticket for a time but never returned for our actuall mission :confused3 maybe next time. i hope they still have this feature!

.....

As I was finishing my lemonade, we went up to find out when the next show was going to start. The CM was very nice and started talking to us. She noticed Liam's birthday button and asked if Mickey had called him, he told her that he had gotten a call from mickey last night. She proceded to take him to an area inside the building where Goofy talked to him. I took the time to pour the rest of my lemonade into my resort mug so we could go in.

Wait a minute....Goofy talked to him? as a character? wow I never heard of that!

Liam talked non-stop about goofy on the elevator to the second floor of the building. He was very excited. We only got to see the last song of the singers, but they were really good. We than made our way to the show and sat to enjoy the show.

WaltDisneyWorld2011129.jpg

At the beginning of the show a CM asked all the service men/women to stand up and we applauded them (I thought that that was very sweet. It was memorial day after all.) What show is this? I have never seen it before.

sorry i am so far behind - but working on catching up!

Your Epcot day sounds just wonderful - you got to do so much in a day! and how cool to have picked pink and gold pearls. What did you do with them? Small world to run in to a RenFaire pal in WDW!

Your pictures are funny in front of the Nemo ride...i never remember to get that creative.

Thanks for sharing....hopefully I won't get so far behind!

Oh Corrine, it took me a while but here I am and I've just finished your TR so far. I love all your pics and Liam looks like he's having such a wonderful time!!! :goodvibes

Sorry to hear about the boy's stitches. :guilty: Looks like a great day at Epcot!

oh, the wave... yum... i could go for one right now.

Liam looks like he is having so much fun!

I was definatly proud of my little man conquering his fears. The small rollercoaster at Six Flags that Liam refused to go on last year is now one of his favorites.:yay: Corral Reef was very good and I would recommend it highly.

Mmmmmm, your dessert looks so yummy! In fact, your entire dinner sounds like it was a good one!

The dessert was soooooo good. The combination of choclate and raspberry is such a great combo. I give it 2 thumbs up. (I would give it more, but I only have 2.:lmao:)

I still haven't done anything with the pearls, but I was talking to a jewelry designer yesterday and she has some real good ideas.

It was great to see my friends at Epcot, I just learned that there was another ren faire friend also at the world but he was at HS that day.

The creativitly of the pictures are all Liam. I asked him to stand by the main characters for pics and there was someone at them so he started posing with other fish and telling me to take his pictures. I never would have thought about it either.

Here is the answer to the questions that didn't show up here. The show was at the American pavillion. It was the the American Experiance. A CM brought Liam to a phone inside the big white building were the show was located (by the singers) to have him talk to goofy. I read in another TR that they talkied to goofy to.

Thanks Victoriasmom98, I am glad you are enjoying the TR. Your Trip is getting so close. I bet you are getting excited.:goodvibes

Sorry to hear about the boy's stitches. :guilty: Looks like a great day at Epcot!

Thanks Kari-B. Everybody is doing good, there stiches are out, and hopefully will remain stitch free for a long, long time. We had an excellent time at epcot besides the heat and the headache.:thumbsup2

oh, the wave... yum... i could go for one right now.

Liam looks like he is having so much fun!

Oh no, now you got be thinking of that yummy desert and drooling. Time to find some food.:lmao:

Liam had a great time. When we were on the bus heading back from DHS on the last day he told me he wished we were staying another day so we could go back to Epcot.:thumbsup2

So finally we have come to the end of our day at Epcot and our second day at WDW. (It's about time right!!:lmao:)

After we road TT for the third time we relized that it was time to head back to Canada and stack out our place for Illuminations. We got there a little later than I anticipated but we still got some good seats behind a couple by the fence in the wheelchair section. Liam was able to see very good from his stroller, so I was happy. Liam tried to make friends with the couple but they were ignoring him for the most part so he occupied his time with his Bey Blade.

The show was amazing and I am so glad we were able to see it. Here are some pics.

With the fireworks complete we headed back to the front of the park with the waves of people and headed toward the bus home. We had to wait about 10 minutes for the bus to arrive and I knew that we were not going to fit on the first bus, but luckily a second bus arrived right after the first one showed up so we didn't have to wait to long. Liam ammused himself by playing with a little boy in line. They were using the fans that they had colored at the Kidcott areas as swords. They were both in pieces with in minutes and needed to be taking away. Haha, I guess boys will be boys.:confused3

We filled our cups at Pop when we got back and was surprised when someone called my name. It was Zinia who we had tried to meet up at the pool the day before. We had been on the same bus. She texted me but I didn't get it until later. They followed us to our room and I gave them the bag of goodies that I brought for them, talked for a bit, and than said goodbye since it was getting late. I had Liam take a quick shower and took my own while Liam did his treatment. We were in bed and atempting to sleep by 11:30 and dreaming of how much fun we had at Epcot.

The next day we would be heading to Disney Hollywood Studio's.

Sounds like your Epcot day ended on a great note:thumbsup2
Can't wait to hear about your HS day:)
