Chicken boy went on the thrill rides and begged to go again!!! **Updated 1/14!!)

So we had already had a fun filled day at Epcot and it was only lunch, so what were we do do next?

Well it was almost time to pick up our Kimmunicators at Norway, but since we didn't want to back track we decided to go on the boat ride in mexico.

Now having gone on this ride last time I was quite happy to not go on it again, but Liam wanted to go on it so it went from "if there was time" to "must" do ride. Once again it was a very cute and I couldn't help but click this picture.:thumbsup2

WaltDisneyWorld2011107.jpg

So after we were done on the ride we decided to head to Norway to get the Kimunicator. The CM asked us a few questions and set us up for the first mission in. . .MEXICO. So much for not wanting to backtrack. Oh well. The CM was very sweet and noticed the sticker on the stroller allowing it to be used as a wheelchair. She pulled out a map and started showing us the wheelchair seating sections for Illuminations and suggested going to Canada because it had good viewing and didn't fill up as quickly as other areas.

So with Kimmunicator in hand we head back to Mexico to start our mission. Let me just say I think the KP is great for school age kids to really get into WS. They follow the clues and are able to activate special things in the inviorment around them and solve the crimes. Each mission takes about 20 minutes and gives you a great oppurtunity to explore the diffrent pavillions.

Here are a couple of pics of Mexico

So with our mission in Mexico complete, we start a new mission and go to head off to Norway for our next. We than notice that Donald had come out and had no line. I asked Liam if he wanted to see him, and he definatly wanted to see him. (Maybe having to back track to Mexico wasn't so bad after all.)

Here are the Photopass pics.

We thanked Donald and were back on our way to Norway. I tried to get Liam to go on the boat ride here, but Liam had no intrest.

With our Mission in Norway Complete, we headed to China to start our Mission there. Here are some pics I took in China.

So know our Mission is done in China and we head to Germany to start our mission there. I must admite that I am less than a happy camper at this time. I haven't followed my own advice and hadn't had anything to drink since we left the Cantina. At this point I am hot and my head is throbbing. I admite that I was getting a little short tempered with Liam who was asking me to help hime with some of the big words and clues from KP. I decided for both of our sanity to finish the mission in Germany and than stop KP and explore in a more leisurly pace. I think Liam was a little dissappointed but he understood why and didn't complain. What a good boy I have.:thumbsup2

Here are some pics from Germany.

We than passed through Italy. There was a show going on but it was already pretty crowded so we decided to not stay.

WaltDisneyWorld2011125.jpg

WaltDisneyWorld2011126.jpg

We than made our way to America. I would love to show you a lovely picture of the fontain in front of the main building but unfortunatly it was walled off.

WaltDisneyWorld2011127.jpg

We were both hot and hungry so we decided to stop and get a snack. Liam got an soft serve ice cream in a cup and I got a frozen lemonade. Both were very good and just what we needed.

WaltDisneyWorld2011128.jpg

As I was finishing my lemonade, we went up to find out when the next show was going to start. The CM was very nice and started talking to us. She noticed Liam's birthday button and asked if Mickey had called him, he told her that he had gotten a call from mickey last night. She proceded to take him to an area inside the building where Goofy talked to him. I took the time to pour the rest of my lemonade into my resort mug so we could go in.

Liam talked non-stop about goofy on the elevator to the second floor of the building. He was very excited. We only got to see the last song of the singers, but they were really good. We than made our way to the show and sat to enjoy the show.

WaltDisneyWorld2011129.jpg

At the beginning of the show a CM asked all the service men/women to stand up and we applauded them (I thought that that was very sweet. It was memorial day after all.)

The show was nice, it was definatly nice to sit in the air conditioning. Unfortunatly our little sleep was catching up with us. I was having trouble keep my eyes open, and Liam actually feel asleep. Later he told me it was boring, but I think he was more overly tierd and would have enjoyed it more if he wasn't so tierd.

you make me wish I had had more time in Epcot. outside of a little time in mexico we skipped all the WS. There is so much we missed in Epcot. I will have to plan more time next time.

Wow, you guys got quite a few KP missions done. That's so sweet of the CM to add another birthday surprise! Seems that the crowds were not too bad for a holiday

Love the pic of the Donald pinata! :rotfl:

I just couldn't resist that pic.

We only were there a couple of hours there last time so I was very glad that we were able to spend some time here this time.

Yea, we got in 4 missions (I felt bad that we didn't do more) but with my head hurting as bad as it was I just didn't have the patients for any more. It was crowded, but Epcot is so large that there are plenty of places to go. But than I could only compare it to crowds from September in which were very low.

So as you could see from the earlier post that I recieved my photopass CD. The plan is to includ the pictures as they come during our trip, but since we already missed a day and a half I decided to post them here and catch you all up.

First of all lets start with MK.

Dear Corrine, so sorry I have been MIA. I am finally caught up with your TR. I am absolutely :lovestruc loving it. :cloud9: I really wish we could have met up in Epcot. You and Liam were probably on Spaceship Earth when we were wandering around looking for you and calling....LOL! So close!
Jay had a nice CM in Epcot, too, that had him talk to Goofy on the phone and wish him a Happy Birthday! He was so excited!
It sounds like the KP adventures were fun. We didn't get to do them this year. Hubs was too busy touring the WS. Sometimes DH is a big kid...:rotfl2:
I am also glad to hear that Liam loved TT. :thumbsup2
Cannot wait to read more! popcorn::

Sounds like your Epcot day was quite a full one. The KP missions sound like a wonderful way to check out WS with the kids, it's definitely on our must do list:thumbsup2
Love the photos, especially the one of Liam with Donald :)

No Prob mtgirl, we all have life to get back to if we want to admite it or not.:lmao: It's funny that we were so close and yet so far away.

Love the photos, especially the one of Liam with Donald :)

We definatly had a full day at Epcot, and it isn't even done yet.:lmao: The picture of Liam and Donald is one of my favorites as well.

To all of you loyal readers out there I'm very sorry that I have been missing from the boards as of late. It was Mia's birthday on thursday, so that was an event. I took the kids to Great America on Sat to the water park and we had a blast. Took the boys to the Bristol Ren Faire on Sunday and had a lot of fun and saw a lot of good friends. The Queen asked me a question before her feast and sent me and the boys apples, carrots, and pickles from her table. It is good to know the Queen (I've known her since 1996).

Than on monday a quick and terrible storm blew through the lands and we lost all power. Luckily we got it back last night because some will not until friday. We ended up spending the night in Salem Wisconsin mainly because Liam needs his breating treatments twice a day for his health. Than to make matters worse, Aidan pushed Liam causing him to hit his head on a glass coffee table. Don't worry the coffee table is fine.:lmao::lmao: Liam needed 5 stiches but is otherwise unhurt.:lmao:

Last, and probably least. The computer keyboard is broke so I am currently typing on a spounge bob keyboard.:scared1:

So new news here. Still a lot of people out of power around here but luckily our power is still on. Took Liam to doctor today to check his stitches. He is fine, but on the way home I got a call that Aidan had fallen from his chair and hit his head. So long story short he cut his head open above his left eyebrow and need 7 stitches.:scared1:

So since bad things happen in threes, I think I am going to wrap the kids in bubble wrap.:lmao::lmao:

Well between the storms/power and two kids with stitches, I hope you're 'safe' now.

Glad you got your power back, my one friend was told they wouldn't get it back on until 3pm on Saturday! thankfully comED was wrong and they got it back late yesterday. I can't even imagine how many other families with medical needs that had to figure out what to do with a power outage that long.

I'm sorry to be reading about 2 kids with stitches. I hope electricity has been restored and the kids are on the mend!

Your photo pass pics are great!

I'm glad you had more time this trip to enjoy Epcot. There is just so much to see and do there.

4 KPs, now that's involving!

WOW! Corrine, you have your hands full!!! Sorry that you have two kiddos that needed stitches.... Glad you power is back on.

Glad to hear that your power is back on. Hopefully no more kids will need stitches:goodvibes It's time you had some 'good luck' I believe!

Oh, no! Fingers crossed no more kids need stitches any time soon!

Thanks PixieMama, I am definatly hoping that there is no more stitches any time soon. Two kids in three days is quite enough for me.

All power has been turned on and everything thing seems to be back to normal.
They actualy told us that power would not be back on until Friday so we were very lucky that we had power back on tuesday night. Some friends didn't get theres back until saturday.:scared1:

things seem to be back to normal. We had a great time at Epcot, alot of fun. I actually felt a little guily that we didn't do more KP's. Liam was fine with it but I had a feeling that he wanted to do more.

WOW! Corrine, you have your hands full!!! Sorry that you have two kiddos that needed stitches.... Glad you power is back on.

Thanks mtgirl. It was funny when the doctor and nurses was explaining things to me for Aidan that I would laugh and remind them that I had gone through all of this two days before.:lmao: Not to mention that this is the third time that Aidan has needed stitches. It seems like a yearly thing for him. I guess he is just one of those kids.:confused3

Glad to hear that your power is back on. Hopefully no more kids will need stitches:goodvibes It's time you had some 'good luck' I believe!

Thanks for the :goodvibes. No Major problems this week so it must have worked. But than again with it being so hot outside who wants to go outside to do anything. It was over 110 heat index yesterday. Might go to the waterpark at Six Flags if it isn't so hot out today.

So lets see, it's been a while so lets see where we left off. We had just saw the show at the american pavillion, cooled off in the air conditioning, and at least 1/2 of the party had gotten in a little nap.

So we were off again through WS at Epcot. Next stop, Japan. As we got there we caught the drum show. It just amazes me how these people could so active in such heat. I applaud them all.

WaltDisneyWorld2011130.jpg

Than we were on our way inside to pick some pearls.

WaltDisneyWorld2011131.jpg

Now I have been really looking foward to getting to the Japan pavillion to try the pick a pearl. I paid for three pearls, they handed me a number, and I waited in a rather large line to choose my pearls.

As we were waiting Liam found his first purchase of the trip. I think it was called a bay blade, it a sort of electronic top that makes noises. It is amazing to me that we travel all the way to Disney World to buy a toy that he could buy at Toys-R-Us.:confused3

So there I was waiting for my turn when I noticed a woman who's turn it was get 7 pearls. Besides the fact that getting 7 pearls was absolutly crazy, I knew this person. I did the Ren Faire with her for many years but hadn't seen her in about 5 years. She gave me a hug and directed me over to where her husband was. It was great to reconect with them and killed time waiting for my turn.

Unfortunatly I didn't take any pictures of us picking our pearl, but it was alot of fun. The ceremony was very cute and I will definatly be doing it again. Unfortunatly I didn't pick any twins, but we did end up with some very nice pearls. Two pink ones (7mm & 7 1/4mm) and a gold one (7 1/4mm)

We than continued our trip around the world. Next stop, Moracco.

WaltDisneyWorld2011132.jpg

Than we headed to France. Oh la la.

WaltDisneyWorld2011133.jpg

Than we were on our way to England. I must say that I am a little partial to England having done the Ren Faire. Some day I hope to get to the real England.:thumbsup2

WaltDisneyWorld2011139.jpg

We saw that Pooh was out, so I asked Liam if he wanted to get in line. He decided not to since we were going to see them on Wednesday at Crystal Palace.

Traveling on we were now in Canada and caught a preformance of Off Kilter. They were really good.

WaltDisneyWorld2011141.jpg

We had a 6:05 reservation at Coral Reef, so we headed off toward the Seas Pavillion.

Isn't that just like a kid wanting something on their special vacation what they could get down the street from their home at the local Toys R Us?....:rotfl2:
How are you all handling the heat wave in the midwest? It is miserable here. Praying for rain.
