Chick-Fil-A - what to order

After yesterday, you can add me to the list of those that just don't get it either. It certainly won't be something I go out of my way to have again. And if I did I would skip the fries and maybe try the strips instead of the sandwich.

The last time I tried them was when I was helping with my dad when he was undergoing surgery and I was with my mom. We were staying reasonably near the hospital and I figure CFA was worth another shot. We got a couple of regular sandwiches, which were OK but nothing special. I think it has to be the sauces that add any kind of flavor. They're also huge MSG bombs.

We only this year had one open near us. I don’t really care for the food. Nice service though.

I am a big fan of their Cobb Salad... however, if you want the classic experience you can't beat "the #1".

I went there for breakfast yesterday and got the yogurt and a fruit cup- no chicken 🤣

Just had it for the first time on the way home from Disney last week! Their chicken nuggets were delicious!!! No sauce needed!! I’d definitely eat there again 🙂

Go ahead and throw tomatoes at me, but I don’t understand the love for Chick-fil-A. Over the years, I’ve been forced to eat there by friends and family who believe it’s the best food ever, so I’ve tried several of the recommended items. I don’t like the chicken sandwich, the chicken minis are greasy, the waffle fries are tasteless, the lemonade tastes like a cheap powdered mix, and the wraps taste like they’ve been sitting around awhile. I’ve decided I am the only person in the universe who doesn’t like Chick-fil-A. :duck:

I love chik fil a, it’s my preferred fast food. I think it gets hyped up a lot, but it’s still mostly fried fast food. I personally hate BK, Wendy’s I really only like their fries, McD- I’m not going to lie, if I go there it’s to calorie bomb a Mac or a quarter pounder. I do like Popeyes but they’re usually so filthy I won’t eat there even pre pandemic and Taco Bell is just a no from me.

They all seem to be closing around me but Steak n Shake is hands down my fav chicken strips.

So when I need something fast and through a window, chik fil a is my go to. I wouldn’t choose it or compare it to a sit-down restaurant or home cooking, though. Definitely not everybody likes it but I sometimes think the hype makes people have too high expectations for fast food lol.

I personally could take or leave it, most days. My kids, OTOH, would kill for Chick-Fil-A, so we get it now and again. I do really like their marketplace salad, but I didn't want to recommend it to the OP, since she needed to start with the quintessential Chick-Fil-A experience (but, could try it next time).

OTOH, the peppermint chip milkshake is seasonal, and is to die for. So, that's a must this time of year. The rest of the year, I love their diet lemonade.

My favorite go to meal is their grilled nuggets with the Greek Yogurt Parfait with the cookie crumbs added on top. From time to time (pre pandemic) I liked getting a small ice dream cone. I don't know what it's made out of, but the flavor is so good and is a great way to cool down during the warm summer months.
