Chicago Pin Traders How Was It?

Would like some feedback on the Pin meet place Principe's Pizza. The owners have invited us back if we want to come back. They have even offered to do it once a month, especially if we would do it in the evening on Monday-Wednesday. Told them we probably prefer once in a while on a Saturday Morning.

Just looking for everyones thoughts on the place.

First, thank you, Tom & Diana, for finding this place. I thought it went very well. Certainly, we had a lot of people show up! This is great - we now have two places who want us back!

Having the meets during the week is difficult (at least for me). We probably wouldn't get either the Indiana people or the Wisconsin people.

So what does everyone else think?

I had a great time and did some great pin trading.

I would love to go back, but week nights are only good for me on Wednesdays in Feb. I will have weekends off the rest of this month, and in March and April.

Maybe they will let us have a Saturday AM every other month???

I think they would like to do every other month on a Saturday. If the groups feels this would be a good scenario, I would be happy to talk with them about it. Let me know.

I had a wonderful time on Saturday - many good trades, and finally getting to put some names and faces together. I was surprised and pleased to see how many people were there - I was there from the start and didn't have a chance to trade with everyone - looks like Chicago area pin trading has come into its own. The set up at Principe's with all the tables and booths was great for trading, and the food was good too. I would prefer Saturdays as well, especially since there is a monthly meet on a Wednesday night already, plus this driving challenged trader hitches a ride to these suburban meets with Dawn and mom Audrey (thanks again).

Thanks to Diana and Tom - glad I was able to get Tigger to you.

Hello to all.
I had an incredible time trading last Sat.
Personally I would like to trade as often as possible.
I realize that for folks who travel quite a distance that once a month might be too often.
Perhaps every other month on Saturdays would be fine.
BTW my friend the artist has been talking, on the phone, to Bob at Cheappins.com about her design
for the Windy City Pin Traders pin. As soon as she makes some final
changes here and there (perfectionist) she promises to e-mail the design (to Bob) so I can order
250 pins. So technically the pins haven't been ordered yet but we are working on it. Here again I can't promise a finished pin by next month
but who knows? The website says something like 4-6 weeks but the price is right and these folks know Disney and fantasy pins.
