Chicago - Illinois Institute of Technology help

I'm looking to send a gift to a student at IIT in Chicago. Maybe a gift card to a place nearby that she can get to easily from campus. I'm not familiar with the area she's in so I'm clueless

If all else fails, I can send her a care package but was trying to think outside the box a little.

I'm not super familiar with the area around IIT but it's very near where the White Sox play and there is a train that runs right through campus.

Places that seem to be on every corner in Chicago and I'm sure would be close. Run these places on mapquest near the campus. There is a Starbucks on every corner in Chicago I am convinced. A sandwich shop that is popular is called Potbelly's. They have a chain called Argo Tea that there are lots of. Maybe one of the pizza places, Uno's, can't remember the other one. Garrett's popcorn is a big Chicago institution and yummy.

I think it is just better to send a check. Sending a gift card through the mail is like sending cash -- it cannot be insured -- if it's lost, you are out the value of it.
