I’m not sure where you’re going there. Smurph was terrible this week. Where was the Mets/Nats Playoffs Murphy from the the last few years? Still a Cubs killer. I hope he’s gone.

He is just a big kid. I hope his fiancé knows what she is getting into with him. Should be fun.

Been googling some rants on the absent wisdom of the one game Wildcard. I liked this one in particular. Written by an AL East column writer last year, but still applies.

1 game = 0.6% of a season; 6 minute football game. Silly.

Manfred already said he’s keeping it bc he says it makes September games relevant to the end. Not exactly true. Another article from last year added that teams do an analysis and decide to be sellers instead of going all in for a 1 game chance. The pre-2012 DS guaranteed wildcard was much better imo.

I see the issue but then I remember '15 and Jake ~and how grateful I was for the chance to move on and we did! It has also been a chuckle that the Pirates have walked the plank on it so many times. They are going to be a force this year tho. Reds too

Yep. I don't want to downgrade defense and see the name Machado @ ss. Way too much talent out there to choose from. Theo could go for a 2B and Javy becomes SS ..but I REALLY miss El Mago at 2b. I f I could go shopping, I would probably
be in the Francisco Lindor aisle. Can you just imagine him and Javy anchored by KB and Riz? LO with that speed. Sadly, pretty sure the Indian's want to keep him, lol

With time but his bat isn't consistent enough (yet) for the time frame it would take. Theo appeared, ummm..pissed, lol.Ido't think he is planning on missing playoffs next year. He could stay at 3b and KB in LF~ platoon Zo & Happ @ 2b, but then Schwarbs? Plus,another year platooning guys is good/bad. You have excellent depth but they aren't getting the ab's they need.

I listened to most of Theo's press conference. He did indeed sound pissed OFF! Which is GOOD. He is the one who can fix it.
