I HATE THAT IT IS NOW ALMOST DARK WHEN I WAKE UP!!!!!!
It makes it so much harder to get my butt out of bed in the morning
I love summer, and it's almost gone!!! :sad1:

The News now is saying today is going to be a rainy day - that means I'll be slow today. People don't frame in the rain :sad2: I've had an awesome last couple of days, and it would be great to end the week the same way - but we'll see what happens with the rain

I have a proud mom moment to share.
Stephanie passed her first Accelerated Reader test yesterday :cheer2: She just passed, but I don't care, all I care about is that she passed. With reading coming hard to her, this was great, because the book was 11 chapters, and she really worked hard to read it all - I'm so proud of her!!!!:goodvibes

bigben - That's great about your WDW trip at X-Mas!!!:santa: Your family is going to have a great time!!!

Tiiiiiiiigern - I"m glad your DH liked the mat & frame. It was so cute when it was all done:goodvibes I think I will now make me one!!!! :teeth:

Sam - I"m sure Megan looked beautiful for her pictures!! :cutie: Having a mommy & DD week sounds wonderful :cloud9: That festival you are going to this weekend sounds great - I hope you are able to get some wonderful things!!! Have fun at your party tonight - it sounds great!!!! :)

piglet - Sounds like you had a nice birthday celebration!! :goodvibes I"m glad your DH remembered to say Happy Birthday to you on your actual birthday:goodvibes I have to admit, it would upset me too if noone said Happy Birthday to me on my actual birthday ::yes::

Bunchkin - 2 weeks until you leave - how awesome!!!!! :woohoo:
**The mosquitoes are awful by me too. I have to take Bounce sheets outside with me when I stand outside to see Stephanie get on the bus in the morning - it's crazy!!!! I don't know if the Bounce sheets help or not - I read last year that it's suppossed to help keep them away from you.

Jedi - Have fun in Florida next week!!! :cool1: I hope you are able to destress while you are there and have fun!!!

Crissup - You are to funny!!!

Joe - We don't have a current DIS Meet planned :sad2: We'll have to do something after all our trip are done.

Thanks for stopping by our friendly thread!! Please come by often and visit, we would love to get to know you!!!!
**I haven't rode EE yet, and I'm really eager too. I'm glad your littlest one had a good time.

Amy - I never had Braxon Hicks. When I went into Labor with Stephanie I was reading books trying to figure out if this was the real deal - I'll never forget it!!! I hope September goes by fast for you!!! :wizard:

HERSEY - I agree with you, we miss NiteOwl!!!!:guilty:

Donna - Happy Anniversary to you and Mark!!!! :goodvibes What did you do for your anniversary?

Well, I guess that's about it from me today (at least for now).
Have a good day today everyone!!

To us, you're Slo everyday. ;) :thumbsup2
:rotfl: ;)

Congrats to Stephanie for passing her test. I remember when Kevin took them, and they were hard. I even took one, and did not do as good as I thought I would.

Donna ~ Hope you and Mark had a great anniversary!!

Michael ~ Your trip sounds awesome, hope you are able to keep it a surprise for the kids.

Amy ~ I know I had a lot of BH with Kevin, and they were no fun for me. I swear some of them hurt more then the mild real ones. But, that is also going back 13 years :rolleyes1 Never went into labor with Nathan (he was a "rushed" c-section when I lost all my amniotic fluid at 37 weeks) and Lauren I went into labor at 30 weeks, so was on drugs for 6 weeks, having real contractions all along.

Hello!

Well, I was supposed to be on my way out the door to go to Sam's Club and the pharmacy but it is POURING rain here!!
I hope it passes soon because there is no way I'm going shopping in this stuff!!! What would be the point loading up the car with every thing I need to buy at Sam's if I and all that stuff are going to get soaked??

Good thing the kids got to school before this started. :)

slo That's great about you having a good week at the store!! :thumbsup2 :cheer2:
I have not seen any mosquitos out in the morning here!! I cannot believe they are out that early by you!!!
Congrats to Stephanie!! Lauren loves the AR program!!

Sam Have fun this weekend with the parties you are going to they sound fun!! Hope you get some great stuff!! :thumbsup2

piglet So glad to hear your family didn't forget to say happy b-day to you.

It is soooo windy here!!! I just looked out the office window and stuff is flying every where and the house is shaking!!!

Sam's Club was supposed to be on my list of things to do too! Sorry, not going shopping in this downpour, I don't mind getting a little wet, but I will look like a drowned rat before I even make it to where I parked my car right now. Not to mention any of the stuff I had on my list to buy.

Well, I was looking forward to a Mommy & Megan week, but my stepson had other plans and went and got himself expelled from high school for substance abuse. It's been a rough 24 hours in the SamIAm household. We are at a loss for options. He is learning disabled (ADD) and most likely won't be allowed to return to regular high school. Lincolnway High Schools have zero tolerance policies regarding drugs and violence and my stepson's past (horrible) record at this high school isn't going to help matters. He has one possible "alternative" school in New Lenox, but that's a "screw up once" and you're out school. My stepson tends to screw up a lot. Le Sigh....

So, he has a meeting next week with Youth Officers and school officials to determine what is going to be done to him/with him. I've never seen my DH so disappointed, deflated and sad. His two older kids are such good kids, straight and narrow, good jobs, impending marriages, a lot to be proud of. This kid... OY VEY!! He's so disappointed in his son and also disappointed about having to cancel his trip, but that's really small on the scale of disappointments though. So, my happy weekend has turned into a weekend of dreading what the upcoming week is going to bring.

All I can do is just try to be gentle and supportive. I think I'll bake something this weekend. Baked goods make everyone feel better... :sad1:

Thanks for all the welcomes.

The dolphin was great. It was our 2nd stay there. It was much better this time. Our last time at the dolphin it was just after 9/11. The hotel and the parks were very empty and it was sort of creepy in a way. We were upgraded to an Epcot view back then. I think they were just happy to have customers. I remember that the longest lines we waited in were the ones to have our bags searched. They had just started doing it that week, so they weren't very sure of what they were doing. It still is not much of a search anyway. The resort was much more lively this time. We had a much better stay. The newly remodeled rooms and new beds are a plus also.

I agree about why some people love AK. We are spoiled with great zoos and museums. We grow up going to these places on school field trips. Some parts of the country don't have these places so available to them. Ak to them must be spectacular. We only spent a half day there also. It seems to be extra hot there with not a lot of places to cool off. We would rather spend our time at MK. :)

Sam ~ No words of advice, just a hug and I hope it all can work out. Maybe, just maybe, this will be a wake-up call for him and he changes his ways enough to get through school.

Hi HO..

I am back from a conference out of town.. so i have a few too many things to ketchup on and then get ready for the weekend.

:surfweb:

Eric has a football game Saturday and then a paintball thing; Geoff is cross countrying and then going to OA ( order of the arrow fall fellowship) and on Sunday coming home, doing homework and then we have a college night.. so I am going to be driving my weekend away..ooo driving my weekend away ( anyone know that song but me:confused3 it is C&W)

Then on Monday I head to OHIO...
be back After I read all the news that is news ... on the thread anyway...

:surfweb:

Crissup - You're on a roll lately!!! To funny!!! :rotfl:

piglet - Thanks for the congrats for Stephanie!! :)

Bunchkin - Did you ever get to Sam's Club yesterday? I wish we had that rain here - my flowers would have loved it :flower:
**Thanks for the congrats for STephanie :)

Sam - I am so sorry to hear about your step son - I literally did this  when I read your post. I bet it's hard to see your DH so disappointed - I think baking something this weekend is an excellent idea to cheer him up.:thumbsup2 Please keep us posted on how everything is going in the SamIAm in household :grouphug:
**How was your party last night? I hope you had fun!!

bobaron - We were at WDW a week after 9/11 too, and even though the country was so sad, and I felt a little quilty about being on vacation when so many people were suffering such grief, it was one of our best vacations because of the crowds being so low. We rode more rides that year, than we ever had before :)

geffric - What happened with your car? Was the repairs super expensive, or did you not take the car in yet?

Well, I gotta jump in the shower and get my butt off to work.
Have a great day today everyone!!

Thank you all for the support. This pregnancy feels worse then when I was pregnant with katelyn or hayley. Well I am about 36 weeks, if the pain gets to unbearable, I can always ask to be induced, sometimes the pain brings tears to my eyes.

We just got back from eating at Chevy's, mexican food. I feel like a blimb LOL. Well Im getting ready to go to sleep, I am so tired.

Good night all

I'm glad to see the thread so slow - that means you all are enjoying this beautiful weekend (at least I hope:) )

I"m not sure what I should do today :scratchin
Should I go to the mall, or should I stay home and be outside. I really need to do both. What to do???
I wish Kevin was going to be home, because I would love to go to Michigan City Outlet Mall today, because it's an outdoor mall, so I would get the best of both worlds. But he is going to a race, and I don't feel comfortable going there by myself (to far). Maybe next weekend we can go :teeth:

Amy - Hang in there, it will be over soon!!!!
**I love Chevy's - good mexican food!!! :goodvibes

Well, I'm off to eat some breakfast
Have a good day today!!

Good morning! Yesterday I went shopping for just a few items and you know the rest, Clearance rack need I say more?

Slo I vote stay home you will be safer.

I need to get to my backyard again. Our trips are coming up :dance3: I am ready to go now:woohoo:

Amy Hang in there, when they put her in your arms it will all be worth it.

good morning chicagoland homies....

quick hi and bye.
leaving for church.

i have your backs for the week.:rolleyes1

Good Sunday morning all!!! :sunny:

I finally got the suitcases out of the basement. And I had DD vacuum them all! She's trying to earn Disney Dollars for the trip so she has been helping and volunteering like crazy!! :teeth:

And unfortunately she caught the cold I have!!! UGH!!! It's all sinus related/stuffy head and nose. I'm really worried about us flying now and how we're going to be able to handle the cabin pressure. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Hunter won't get sick!!!! :sad2:
I've been sick for 2 weeks now!!!!!
It's all DH's fault, he's the one who was sick first!!!! :headache:

And on Friday DD got hurt at school! She fell climbing onto the playground equipment and banged her leg and twisted it too, including her ankle. YOWCH!! I had to run to school to check it out. They were icing it and had it elevated but it was a little difficult to stand on. I did make her go back to class for the last hour and a half of school. And she seemed better by that evening. Now she's left with a bunch of bruises on her leg.

And I seem to have hurt my rotator cuff on my left shoulder!!!
I was carrying in an extremely heavy box the other day just full of stuff I had bought at Sam's Club and I must have strained my arm too much.
I've been taking pain killers and icing it to help.

I swear our family is falling apart!!!! And of course right before vacation!!!

Well, that's enough complaining from me for one day!!

slo If it were me I'd be going to the mall even by myself. That kind of stuff doesn't freak me out! :) Tony is soooo busy all the time that if I had to wait on him to go somewhere we'd never go anywhere!!!

Hersey Did you buy clothes for vacation??

2sweet Hang in there! :thumbsup2

geffric I was wondering what happened with your car too!

I wish I could start packing but since it's still so nice it's kind of hard to pack clothes that everyone still needs to wear!!! :teeth:
Hunter keeps asking if we can pack. And I tell him the same thing "What will you wear to school if I pack up all your shorts?". And his reply this morning was "Leaves!!!". :rotfl2: So now I've been calling him Tarzan all morning!! Leaves indeed!!! :) :rotfl:

Have a great day everyone!! :yay:

Slo ~ I would go to the mall too. I LOVE that one, and even drove there by myself in the winter once.

Morning..

Just a quick hi before I go and run errands and cook and clean ..

Yesterday Eric had a football game and Geoff had XCountry, then DH drove Geoff to Camp Lakota - near McHenry for a OA thing..
I drove Eric and friends to Lansing to a paintball store that had a big sale and a pig roast.. then laundry..

So today is errands et al..

ANY I had Eric 8/16 and being preggy during the hot weather is brutal.. I used to stand infront of the freezer at Domincks to cool down.. hang in there it will be over soon..

Bunchkin DH didn't take the car into the dealer yet.. guess he thought he would try the sunshine treatment to see if it would go away by itself.:confused3 Well it hasn't so... he will have to deal with it this week..
Sounds like your family is have the pre vacation falling apart.. hope that everyone feels well and enjoys WDW without having to rent a wheelchair..

prayer and PD that the entire family mends FAST!!!

gotta run.. Eric wants to make frech toast and we don't have any butter or margarine. or milk. so i guess I better get to the store.

Bunchkin If Hunter does choose to wear leaves make sure they are maple leaves and not poison ivy or poison oak.;) I load Alex up on Decongestant before we go. Yes the illegal behind the counter stuff :rotfl:

I did buy stuff for vac. Shirts at Target $2.50 shorts at Wallyworld $5.00 I couldn't resist.

Those are good prices! :)
I give both kids the good stuff too before getting on the plane. The pediatrician even recommended doing it!
I tried to call you this afternoon. I was on Garden Grocer placing an order and I was going to ask if you had tipped them or if you were planning on tipping them when they deliver OR not tipping at all!! :teeth:
