It has thundered/rained off & on here but no lightening.

Debbi --Great pictures but I absolutely *love* the 2 pictures of the kids facing/being in the ocean. I've decided there must be something about "back" shots for me. My favorite one out of our whole Disney trip is the kids backsides while looking at the plants at Crystal Palace. I think it's just something about those type of pictures that capture the candid feeling of the moment so well.

DS made it home from summer school after they were trying to give me a heart attack! :scared1: I saw an empty bus go by and yet no DS showing up. We don't live that far from the school but it took the bus 45 minutes to get him home today. According to the sheet I got today, it should have taken 15 after school got out. The kids got out late & then the bus driver was having trouble with her wheelchair lift. I wouldn't have been so freaked out if I hadn't seen that empty bus go by first and then it was still a good 20 minutes before DS showed up, so I was about ready to panic. I know the first day is always full of bumps with transportation so usually I don't worry so much but seeing the other bus just flipped me out (I hadn't seen a 2nd one in the mornings, so that threw me into more of a panic mode).

At least tomorrow should be better in that regards. The kid is already coming home with goodies though. :lmao: He had gotten some candy & a wristband. I never know what summer school will bring in that regards and I'm sure there will be lots more.

GREAT PICS DEBBIE!! :thumbsup2

SOOOOO SORRY NICOLE!!! :guilty:
Kim - I hope Kelly has fun at camp with her friend :cool1: Is a local, daily camp? Or is it a one week overnight camp?
OH, it's just a local, daily/weekly camp. Several parents at school discussed a week long overnight camp but, due to ONE girl bully, we decided to keep our camp weeks private/local, and together, without the 'bully girl' and her family knowing. How PC/incorrect is this?? In the Lutheran school DD attends????? :sad2:

New show.

On PBS Kids on Tuesday (seen here in Atlanta twice) is Fetch! with
Ruff Ruffman which is promising to have a segment at WDW where two of
the kids design a Rollercoaster (I am guessing at Disney Quest, but
the website with the details on this show (episode 14)
http://pbskids. org/fetch/ parentsteachers/ program/episodes .html has a
picture of several people riding what may be Big Thunder. As this is
PBS, the show can be on at any time on any particular PBS station. As
it is on here in Atlanta on both stations on Tuesday, then it is
likely it is on many places on Tuesday, but www.pbs.org should be
checked for exact times for individual stations.

Kirby
Thanks! DD loves Fetch!

That's it from me. Need some sleep! ALL!!!!! :grouphug:

Kim I feel your pain. It's difficult to deal with kids that are bullies. Hopefully Kelly has a good time a camp which is supposed to be fun.

Mac hopefully you didn't wake up with ducks in bed with you. I heard up north got slammed with rain again.

My grass is green again :cool1: But where is the cool air. It's soo humid my hair is  going to be pulled back today.

Good Morning everyone.
Deb, loved the pictures. My favorite is your daughter standing on the beach facing the sunset. That one is beautiful.
Taking the kids to the library today. They need to turn in round 1 of their summer reads and get their "clues" along with their investigators pack (contains a magnifying glass.):rotfl:
Have to go to work for a bit for a meeting and then need to stop for laundry detergent. I'm out.:scared1: Too bad I never run out of :laundy:
I'll check in with you all later.

good morning chicagoland homies !!

i just found out that bon jovi was on the today show this morning.

i sure do hope bunchkin saw it.

i fell asleep at 1 this morning. it wasn't raining at that time but the grass is wet when i got up at 6.

i guess it rained and i slept thru it......

/
We had a nice thunderstorm roll through here in the middle of the night. Thank goodness DS slept through it all. He is still obscessing about the weather this morning. Some flood warning over in IN and he is all worried about that now.:lmao:
Our grass really needed that rain. It was like walking on a sticker bush. We don't water often. Too large of a yard. I just encourage the kids to play in the sprinkler and use the slip and slide.

Last night Lauren and I were on the front porch when the big storm rolled in.
She thought she could sit there with an umbrella and not get wet!!! :rotfl:
Boy was she wrong!!! :rotfl: We had to scramble to get in the house!!

Thanks for every one's concern about my MIL!! :grouphug: I appreciate it!
She called Tony last night while I was at the grocery store, but for some reason he didn't hear the phone. :confused3 I'm guessing he'll call her today.

For anyone who is interested the Planetarium is free this week!!! :yay:
We found out about it actually from something on the WTTW PBS Kids web site. There is a show, Zula Patrol, and the Planetarium is opening an exhibit in relation to it and a show in the one theatre. The web site, WTTW, had a sign up for free tickets OR buy 2 get one free admission for tomorrow. But the week is already free so I don't know what they were thinking. :confused3
Anyway, there will be a lot of events going on tomorrow, and free stuff and goody bags and etc.
We are going!!! Taking the train in and then a cab to the Planetarium, then the free trolley back (doesn't start running as early when we get there) to the train station.

Anyone else interested in going too? :yay:

mac Missed Bon Jovi! No big deal!! I already got to listen to all of their new cd that comes out today and they've gone COUNTRY!!! Hope it's not premanent!!!
I don't mind country, but I do mind when someone changes genres on me!!! :rotfl:

Kim That WDW Fetch episode it on either today or tomorrow!!! I checked the episode schedule on WTTW.
Lauren just loves that show too!! (I think it's funny too!!! :rotfl: :rolleyes1 )

Debbie Great pictures!!! I love the one with your DD facing the ocean too!!! Awesome!! It's like something you'd see in an add or on a post card!! :goodvibes

Gotta run!!
Today Lauren gets 2 of her 4 cavities worked on!!! She is NOT looking forward to this...of course!! Wish me luck, I think I might have to drag her through the door of the dentists!!

I think this is the latest I have ever checked in

I was to tired to get us the morning and DIS because last night at 1:30am we got a phone call saying that the security alarm was going off at the store:headache: . So I had to get up and come here to turn it off. Then I was wide awake and couldn't fall back asleep for a long time. Then when I did finally fall asleep, I felt someone poking me at 4am, and it was Katie. She woke up from the thunderstorm. Then soon after that, Stephanie was woken up from the thunderstorm. I put them both on the floor next to my bed, and we all fell back asleep. What a night :faint: I'm sure tired today!!!!

When I got to work, I called the alarm company and told them that the police officer told me "it was time to fire my alarm company!!" I also told them that the town was going to start billing me $100 a false alarm, and that I'm going to take that $100 out of the bill I owe them - I'm not paying that!!!

Today the newspaper came to photograph me and the store. They are doing an article in the paper, and when I find out when it's going to print. I will give you all the link to see it online - I'm so excited!!! I hope this gives me some much needed exposure!!!:wizard:

Bunchkin - I am so sorry to hear about your MIL :guilty:  Please know that I am keeping her in my thoughts and prayers. Please keep us posted on how she is doing, and when you need us, we are here for you!!!:grouphug: Take care my friend!!!
**How did Lauren do at the dentist? I hope she is doing okay :wizard:

HERSEY - I'm glad your grass is green again :) Ours is like straw :guilty:

Mac - :wave2:

Tiiiiiggerrnn - Good luck at the ENT Thursday :wizard: Let us know what he/she says.

Debbie - You have a beautiful family!!!!:cloud9: Thank you for sharing those pictures with us :goodvibes By the way, I would blow-up that picture of your DD looking at the sunset up to a larger size - very pretty!!!!

Jedi - :wave2:

Becky - I'm glad your DS had a good first day of summer school:teacher:

Kim - I don't blame you at all for not wanting the bully girl around :sad2: I've had to request at the daycare before to keep a certain girl away from Stephanie. I hope Kelly enjoys her camp:cool1:

Well, I gotta run and get some paperwork done
Have a good rest of the day everyone!!!

donna, not a drop here .........no boom booms either.
our high today was 82 degrees in Ztown. now the wind is blowing off the lake and we are down to 77 degrees.

weather channel stated we should get some rain/storms later tonight or early evening

The weather was pretty nasty there for awhile yesterday afternoon & evening. There was actually a really bad fire in the complex that my cousin used to live in (in Wheaton). I think it might have been caused by lightening. I don't mind rain-storms, I just really don't like the lightening part.

I have been sitting here for 5 hours writing my website :headache:
I knew this wouldn't be easy, but holy cow, my butt hurts from sitting here.

mac - thanks for the listings!!:)

Becky - I hope your DS had a good first day of summer school:teacher:

Jedi - I've been thinking of you so much lately, I'm so glad you checked in!! I'm so sorry to hear about you and Toby  Remember we are here for you when you need us:grouphug:
*Your pictures are great!! It looks like you were all having lots of fun!!!

HERSEY - I'm glad Alex had fun at the game on Sunday :cool1: Thank goodness his dad saw him getting dehydrated so he could get some fluids in him.

Bunchkin - Thanks!!! :goodvibes
*Did Lauren have fun at her party? I hope she didn't get rained out.

paint - Good luck with your closing tomorrow and your move on Saturday.:wizard:

Donna - I'm glad you were able to enjoy Father's Day with your boys yesterday:goodvibes
*We had lots of thunder here too ::yes::

Well, I gotta get off this stool and stretch a little bit
I decided the rest of the website can wait until tomorrow :faint:

Have a good night tonight!!

Sandy...how is the website looking?

BUNCHKIN...I am so sorry to hear about your MIL. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Having lost both of my parents to cancer, I know how devasting it can be.... Please know that we are here for you!:grouphug:

Hi, Chicagoland friends! What a difference a day makes!!! What beautiful weather we are having this afternoon! *This* is the kind of weather I just LOVE...and wait all winter to have!:)

Hope you all have a wonderful evening! Shout-out to ALL!!!!:thumbsup2

Thanks!!! Kelly's 2nd day at camp was much more FUN, according to her. :woohoo: Mostly it was a place called Water Works?? In Schaumburg?? :confused3 She loved it and she's going back to camp tomorrow. (Better get my sleep, LOL!)

FYI, not a P&PD request, but my uncle died earlier tonight after a LONG battle with medical issues, in general. Several heart attacks, strokes, life support, etc. It was a long, sad battle. I didn't know the man well at all. He was my Mom's oldest brother (the oldest of 9), and Mom really disliked him. I feel sorry for his 2 sons and grandkids and a sibling or 2 that actually cares tho, but I can't miss someone I never really knew. :rolleyes1 Again, just an FYI, at this late hour when I heard about it. Thanks for reading.

 ALL!!!!

Kim Alex has been to water works he gave it a :thumbsup2 His current favorite is still the one in Rockford. I'm sorry about your Uncle.

Slo I hope you were able to get a full nights sleep. You have certainly had your trails with your store.

Donna I agree yesterday was a beautiful day. Maybe I'll get a good handle on my paperwork and get to enjoy it.

Bunchkin how are you doing?

Tigger Hope your kids start to feel better. Hopefully the kids dr listens to you now would be a good time to have the procedure if it needs to be done.

Mac :yay:

Paint pixiedust: pixiedust: Hope your closing and move go smoothly.

How is everyone this fine day? :sunny:

Donna - On my end the website is looking great in words and theory. I emailed the people I have a contract with on what I want on the home page, to see if it can be done - I haven't heard back from them yet. I need to call them today to see if they got the email. I can hardly wait to show it to you all when I'm done.

Kim - I know you said it's not a PD request, but I'm still sorry to hear about your uncle . May he rest in peace!!!

HERSEY - I slept alot better last night - thanks for asking :) The security company is here right now, as I type, to try and figure what in the heck is going on. This whole situation is very frustrating!!!!:headache:

Well, I gotta run and get some work done
Have a good day!!!

Hi, Chicago! Another beautiful day! I wait all winter for days like the ones we have been having lately...and I truly appreciate them when we get them...

I went out to Tom's Farmer's Market in Huntley with some friends this afternoon. I had never been out to the Tom's out there, and came home with some tomatoes, and some flowers, and some coffee and some apple cake....they have quite a wide variety of stuff for sale there!:)

Slo..I am looking forward to seeing your website when it's done. I hope they can figure out what on earth is happening with your alarm, and figure it out quickly!

Kim...I am sorry to hear the news about your uncle.

Hersey...is it Magic Waters in Rockford that Alex likes? We have driven by there on the way to Dubuque a few times, it looks like a fun waterpark.

Mac...waving at ya as you drive by!:)

Paint...good luck with closing & moving & all that fun stuff!:thumbsup2

Everybody...have a great night!!!!:cool1:
