Morning all.
Busy day at work yesterday. Guess the 29th was a good day for having a baby.:rotfl2: I spent the entire day shift portion of my 12 hour shift in the OR with back to back to back C-sections. When I came out I thought for sure the patient load would look better, only to find out that many more had come in and we had to use our other side of the floor to hold more patients.:scared1: :lmao:
Slo, sure hope you have better luck today getting your sign out there. All that proper paperwork is a pain in the ...
Rosemarie, I see your vacation is right around the corner. Be sure to take and post some pix and let us know how it is there. Never been to Hershey Park before.
Paint, see you in a few hours. Hope you have an empty minivan.:rotfl:
Bunchkin, my thoughts and prayers are with your family. I hope you MIL surgery goes well with good news.
Better get a move on. Need to get the kids out the door and get a shower.
Have to go to the Dep. of Motor Vehicles and get stickers for the vehicles. There goes all the money I worked for yesterday and then some.

Tiggerrn2 -- Well...May is a great time for having a baby! ;) My birthday is tomorrow but that's a running joke as I probably should have been born a week earlier since my mom's water broke & the doctor told her to come in when the contractions started....5 days later she went in. I told her it's just because I didn't want to share my birthday month with my brother (his is June) so I decided I had better hurry up and get out of there while it was still May.

Have a Happy Birthday Becky. May is a great month to have a baby. I had DS in May and got most of the summer off for maternity leave. Last great summer vacation I've had.:rotfl2: Kids don't know how great they have it.

one day early but wanted to wish you the happy bd now.

Happy early birthday to Debbie :bday: :cake: party:

Hi, Chicagoland! Happy Birthday to all the birthday folks!!!

KIM...best for your husband with his healing process...

SLO...I sure HOPE you get that sign today!!! As far as Lake Geneva, Mark and I love going up there on nice summer days, but we don't really do anything there, except to just sit by the lake, or have lunch or dinner. Sometimes we will take the ice cream social boat cruise, which is very nice, too, as you go by all the mansions around the lake. As far as going with kids, I do know there is a hotel with a water park up there, and there is an animal petting farm type of place. The kids might like the boat cruises, as well. I am not sure what else is there for young ones, as we just started going up there a few years ago (I never went as a kid, but I think some Chicago DISers did, so they may have more info on what's available for the kids!) There is also a website, I *think* it's just Lakegenevawi. com.

BUNCHKIN...I will keep your mother-in-law in my thoughts and prayers

TIGGERN2..sounds like a crazy day for you yesterday..more May birthdays ahead!

HERSEY.....Popeye's was good on Sunday! Mark really, really likes the chicken they have there. I like it, too, but prob not as much as he does. It is a fun place to eat up in Lake Geneva, because we usually get a window table and then we can watch the boats on the lake & people going by.

EVERYONE...Happy Wednesday! Enjoy the day!

Hello all!!!

Today I had my own visit to the dentist. Found out I have a cavity!!!!! :headache: It's my own fault as I haven't had a cleaning in a while, unlike the kids who go every 6 months to the dentist. I always put my self last when it comes to this kind of stuff.

Hunter and I went to Jewel to pick up a few things and guess what we saw there?????
Disney brand Mickey shaped frozen hamburgers!!!:mickeyjum
:rotfl: :rotfl:

He totally wanted to get them, but I was hesitant. Not too sure if they would even taste good. But they were cute.
His first question was: "Do they come with Mickey shaped buns??"
:lmao:

Kim Lauren is brushing twice a day, just not long enough and she should be flossing too.

slo Don't you love all this paper work and having to deal with city codes!!! I totally understand as we have to deal with this, with several cities and counties, all the time. :headache: :headache:
Hope your sign is up today!!! ::yes::
Lauren's cavities have to be filled because they are too close to the teeth coming in and may affect them too. And they could also become sensitive if not filled.

paintnolish I'm not a fan of hazelnut so I guess I won't be trying the Nutella any time soon, but thanks for letting me know what it was made of! ;)

Tiggerrn You sound as if you had a super busy day at work!!!!

We saw those burgers a few weeks ago, I thought it was mentioned here already so I didn't say anything. And, I'm with Hunter - where are the Mickey shaped buns?!?!

Nicole, get Lauren those kid flossers. Can't think of the name right now, but Kelly's dentist gives them to her at check-ups. I think Walgreens and Jewel/Osco carry them - Wild something? The handles are animal shaped. Also, do your kids use ACT rinse? It's a flouride rinse, in bubble gum and grape flavors. Good thing also. :thumbsup2

Happy Birthday Becky- for tomorrow :bday: :cake: party:

Happy Birthday to my DH- his b-day is tomorrow, also! :cake: :bday: :rockband:

Happy early birthday to Debbie :bday: :cake: party:
DITTO, times 3!!!! :yay: :cool1: :cake: party: :bday: party: :cake:

SANDY, would you get that sign up already?!?! :goodvibes

:woohoo: :yay: I FINALLY GOT MY SIGN UP!!!!!:yay: :woohoo:

Yesterday was a very very good day!!!!
My sign was put up first thing, and then the electrician came in by 2pm to put the electricity to it (that was a nice surprise. I didn't think they would come so soon). We took a family drive to the store at 8pm to see how it looked turned on, and it looked great :thumbsup2

Then yesterday afternoon I interviewed a great college girl to hire for the store. She unfortunately is only here for the summer, which is a drag, but she wants to work whenever she's home on break and holidays - that's awesome!!!!:thumbsup2 She's going to school for interior design, and has some experience - perfect!!!! So I think I'm going to hire her today:banana:

Then yesterday my local artist and friend, brought her first items to hang/sell in the store. She's very excited about store, and I'm excited to see her more often because I really enjoy her company.

So all in all, yesterday was a good day!!!:thumbsup2

Today I have the visa/mc guy coming to set up my visa/mc machine and teach me how to use it. I'm extrememly familiar with these machines as an employee, but not as an owner. So all this is very new to me:)

Thanks everyone for your well wishes with getting that sign up - it worked!!!!!

I hope you have a wonderful b-day today!!!!! :goodvibes

Mac - :wave2:

Donna - Thanks for the info!!!! :)

Bunchkin - I'm sorry about your cavity:guilty: I need to go to the Dentist too ::yes:: I'm the same as you - Stephanie goes all the time, but I don't go nearly as much. Katie is going to go for the first time this summer - that should be interesting:rolleyes:
**We have those Mickey burgers in our store too, but I haven't bought them:sad2: If you should get them, let us know how they taste:)

Kim - :wave2:

Well, I gotta go get ready for my day
I need to get to the store by 9:30 or so in case the UPS man comes, which is different everyday. He will take my items to my friends insurance agency, but I hate cluttering her office up with my packages (even though she doesn't care, she's so sweet).

Have a good day today!!!!

Morning and

15.gif
to Becky and DH of Rose and early for Debbie..

SLO congrats on the sign.. sounds like the store is coming together nicely and ready for the grand opening.

Eric last Jazz band concert was last night and he is done with band until next year at High school. The 8th gradeers are really done with school, now they are cleaning lockers, signing year books and practicing for graduation inbetween the parties and movies..

Hey all - I'm DISing for the first time from my store :goodvibes

I'm anxiously waiting for a delivery to come, because I really have to go. Stephanie and Katie have a b-day party they need to go to at 4:30, and I have a feeling they are going to be late. Luckily, the party is for my friend who is in the same mall as me, and I already told her that if this delivery takes forever then the girls will be late. She totally understood!!! :thumbsup2

I hired my first employee today!!! :woohoo: She can't start until June 21st, which is to bad, but I really like her, so I won't hold that against her:sad2: She is going out of town on the 8th, but she is going to come in a couple days next week to help get the store cleaned up and ready for my grand opening party on June 8th - this was totally her offer, which I thought was great!!!:thumbsup2

Thanks for the congrats guys!!! :goodvibes
It's so good to have that sign ordeal under my belt and overwith.

Well, I gotta run - I hope my delivery comes ASAP:wizard:
Have a good rest of the night everyone!!!

Quick fly by..

Thanks for the early Bday wishes!
Happy Bday to your DH Rose.

We already have the MICKEY burgers but haven't tried them yet!

Kim...hope your DH is better. Today was our last day at SP but we will be there for VBS.

Slo...congrats on the sign.

Look at my ticker...I am getting my pretrip anxiety!

Hope all is well with everyone!
Debbie

Tony just ran out to buy a new generator for our business

Bunchy, what kind of business have ya's got?

What a stressful day yesterday!!!!!
MY SIGN IS STILL NOT UP!!!!!

Why is it that everyone I know that opens a store has some type of problem with the sign guy? Must be a good business to get into, don't have to worry about keeping the customer happy. :confused3

:woohoo: :yay: I FINALLY GOT MY SIGN UP!!!!!:yay: :woohoo:

Yay!!!! :)

Thanks for the birthday wishes everyone!

I didn't do much...went to DS school for his portfolio party tonight.

Pretty much just another day.

I'm going to take my 10 year old in tomorrow to see if he has strep throat. Yuck! He has been complaining since yesterday but it looked normal when I looked before school. He even went to the nurse that day (since I told him to go if it got worse) but his throat wasn't red & she didn't send him home, just told him to drink water. I sent him in today with a water bottle. He's still complaining and we got a note that Strep is going around his classroom. I looked again tonight and thought I saw *something* on one side of his throat but hard to tell without a tongue depresser. :lmao: So, I figure I'll send the others off to school & take him over to urgent care. Once we get the results back, if it's not Strep he can go to school (it's Sports day so he would really rather go to school than stay home!), otherwise he will get tomorrow off.

Let us know how those burgers are!! ;)

Thanks for the DH wishes. He's ok, just still home. :confused3

LAST DAY at SP?!? WHY? I'll be at VBS with DD, DN and DDs friend from SP. :goodvibes See ya there! :thumbsup2

Sandy, continued Congrats on the opening and success of your store!! :thumbsup2 :woohoo: :cool1: :yay: :grouphug:
