(I read a review that said to be sure to stay, but didn't have a chance to tell him before he went). We are thinking of a movie today--I know Mark would like to see Pirates, but I think I am more in the mood for a comedy...Shrek??

Christopher is recovering from oral surgery. He had all four wisdom teeth removed. <ouch> This was about a week ago, and he is still experiencing pain, and also some numbness around his lip/chin area. At the follow-up visit, the dr said it could take as long as *six months* for that nerve to wake up again.

Mark & I are still planning a getaway for June...now, we are back to thinking of Mackinac Island again! I found out it's Lilac Festival time during the time we want to go. Honestly, I don't know if I'd ever talk him into going there another time besides now since it would be for my birthday, so I am pretty sure that is where we are going. Although, you know what they say, life is what happens while you are busy making other plans...so I will just say, that is the current "idea"!
Donna, I should have seen Shrek myself today! Instead of Pirates pirate: . I was ....(emotion left blank, purposely, so no feelings/smilies are here to SPOIL it for anyone!) I'm glad I saw POTC but, Shrek might have been funnier? :confused3

:grouphug: & more :grouphug: for Christopher! Matt had that done last summer, with lots of meds but, he was FINE after that! :wizard: That Christopher recovers ASAP with no further side effects!!

On the side - Marty is still home after his surgery. Sometimes, it just takes longer for some people. Everyone is different.

GO TO Mackinac Island so we can hear all about it!!! :thumbsup2

he is not well at all and he is now in the hospital.

please remember us in your prayers.
{{HUGS}} and Prayers, mac! Keep us posted, please! :grouphug:

DS does indeed have strep once again. He is on Zithromax.
{{HUGS}} and Prayers, tig!! Keep us posted also! :grouphug:

ENJOY YOUR WEEKEND, EVERYONE!!!!!!!! :woohoo: :cool1: :thumbsup2

Good very very rainy morning everyone!! :umbrella:
I guess today is another day that I'm not going to plant my flowers :flower:
Why is it, that every day that I can plant my flowers the weather is crappy  I've come to the conclusion, that these flowers refuse to be planted!! I guess I will use this rainy day to clean the downstairs and touch up the upstairs. It hasn't gotten very dirty since last weekend (we are never home:rolleyes: )

Today is the Indy 500 :car: Any of you watching??? Poor Kevin didn't go to the race today with much excitement. The Indy weather is talking 70% rain there, and he found out last night that his dad wasn't going because he fell off a ladder and hurt his back:guilty: Him and his dad have been going together since 1983, so you can imagine how sad he is about not having his dad today:guilty: Kevin did take a change of clothes with him, because if the race gets cancelled for tomorrow, he is staying the night with his best friend, who has a hotel room in Indy. So we'll see what happens today. I hope the rain stops long enough to get the race in :wizard: because that will make for a long weekend for all those people down there if it doesn't.

Kristine - Good luck with your job interview!!! :wizard:

Donna - Sending lots of PD to Christopher :wizard: I remember having that exact surgery done when I was 15, and it was painful:guilty: I hope he gets better soon!!!

Mac - continued hugs for you and your son :grouphug: I'm continuing to keep you all in my thoughts and prayers.

geffric - I'm sorry Geoff couldn't finish yesterday due to the rain :umbrella: Hopefully he will be able to get done soon :wizard:
**The sign guy will have a reason - he's the type that ALWAYS has an excuse:rolleyes:

Tiggerrnnnnnn - Sending more PD for Kyle:wizard: Stephanie had her tonsils and adenoids out when she was 3 1/2, and you know what she complained the most about after her surgery? She complained the most about her nose hurting. I guess the her adenoids were so large that she couldn't breath through her nose, and for the first time she was getting fresh oxygen up through her nose into her sinus cavity, and it was burning her. I have no idea how long she couldn't breath properly, but it made me sad that she was like that and I had no clue:confused: If you need a suggestion for an ENT let me know, we loved ours!!!

Rose - :wave2:

Chris - Have a great trip!!!! :cool1: I've never stayed at Pop Century, but I know many that have, and they liked it alot!!! :thumbsup2 Take care, be safe, and have lots of fun!!!!!

Kim - Continued PD for Marty :wizard: How much longer until he goes back to work?

Well, I gotta go make some breakfast - I don't know what? But I have to make it :) Have a good day today everyone!!!

Morning all...

Off to soccer (AGAIN) I sorta hope they don't win so this can be the last game (bad mommy)

I am sure the Indy 500 will be on here...

Linda...I will PM you when I get back

Hi everyone! I'm just checking in...haven't been on here in a while...life has been hectic over the last few weeks!! And the spare time I have had lately, I've been spending on the internet reading the DCL EB Transatlantic trip reports. I hope everything is going good for everyone and you are all enjoying your Memorial Day weekend! Too bad it's so rainy this weekend!! :sad2: We finally get a three day weekend and have to spend most of it inside. Oh well...at least it's an extra day off work!! :yay:

So, what kind of fun Summer plans does everyone have? We don't have anything big planned yet, but I would like to take the kids to Brookfield Zoo and we may go to Cedar Point for a long weekend. :jumping1:

Morning all. I see the SUN!!!!! I wish it would just be a nice day. DS is so miserable. I feel so bad for him. I have him in a Vicks vapor bath right now to try to help him breathe a little better. I think he has a sinus infection on top of strep throat. I wish those antibiotics would kick in more quickly. He has hardly eaten anything. And he is nothing more than a stick as it is.
Slo, I hope your DH has a nice day. Race is just getting underway and it looks like the sun is out there. DH and I went to a couple races back when we dated. We got rained out one Sunday and stayed over til Monday. Then, on the Monday, the sun was out so strong. We were in the infield. DH is a redhead. Needless to say, in spite of sunblock, he got fried!!! He had blisters on his lower legs so bag, he couldn't wear pants or work for about a week.:scared1:
Thanks to all for your well wishes for DS.
Gonna run. Guess I will get some :laundy: done today for lack of anything more fun to do.

You all must be having a great weekend. No one is here!!:rotfl:
Went to seepirate: pirate: pirate: today. Grandma watched  DS and we took DD and went to the show. I don't care what the critics say. I liked it. None are as good as the first. But this did tie everything up well. And yet left the possibility open for another. But if it ends here, it ended well.
Slo, sending you a PM to pick your real estate, IN brain.
Later.

Stopping by to say hi to my Chicago friends! Have been very busy here, but try to pop in to read this thread when possible.

Weather was great here today - we had a barbeque at my sister's house for my mother's birthday. Everyone had fun.

So happy to have tomorrow off work. I need to catch up on some sleep!

 ALL!!!
Kim - Continued PD for Marty :wizard: How much longer until he goes back to work?
Thanks Sandy! His next appt. is 6/5, the soonest he'd go back is 6/11. I'm thinking he has another surgery before that tho. :confused3 :guilty:

GOOD LUCK with the sign and OPENING!!!!!!!!!!! :cool1: :yay:

Stopping by to say hi to my Chicago friends!
 CarolAnn!!! Happy BD to your MOM!!! :yay:

Tiggerrn2, I hope your DS is feeling better ASAP! :wizard:

Enjoy your Memorial Day! :thumbsup2 :grouphug: And please remember WHY we are celebrating/honoring/remembering!!! :goodvibes

Happy Memorial Day everyone!!!

25.gif

I had the most productive, wonderful day yesterday!!! I cleaned the whole house in the morning, and then I went outside and pulled a bizzilion weeds and finished planting my flowers :flower: I went to bed feeling pretty successful!!!!! :thumbsup2

Last night Stephanie and I watched Charlotte's Web, and what a wonderful movie!!!!! I enjoyed it so much!!!:) I read the book when I was a kid, but I didn't remember much of it at all. If you didn't see it, I would recommend it!!:thumbsup2

Kristine - Did they win the soccer game yesterday?

Lucky (I shortened your name) - Good to see you!!! :wave2: We have no plans for this summer because I am opening a store in a couple of weeks, and I will be there all the time:) I won't be open on Sundays, so I am planning on sitting in my pool on those days:goodvibes

Tiggerrnnnnnn - I'm glad you liked pirate: Many didn't like the 2nd one, but I really loved it :thumbsup2 so I'm thinking I will like this one too!!!::yes::
**How is Kyle today?

CarolAnn - Good to see you!!! :wave2: Happy B-day to your mom!!! :cool1:

Kim - Oh no, another surgery?!?! I'm so sorry to hear that!!!! Tons of PD for him!!!:wizard: :wizard:
**Thanks for the good luck - I need it to get that sign up!!!:)

Hello Everyone!
We are home for today after being in Wisconsin for Saturday and Sunday. It was chilly!! I can’t believe in one week I will actually be 40. The good news is I will be in MK for the whole day!!!!!! We celebrated with family on Sunday and my parents (who are traveling with us like usual) upgraded our standard view at AKL to a Savannah view as an early gift! That’s my kind of gift!! I am so excited. Even though we will only be in WDW for two nights I can’t wait! At least I will know we will be back in the Fall for our long trip!!! My DH even mentioned DVC the other day! I might actually be swaying him to the other side! Just wanted to share my good news.

I have been running around these days like its already summer. I don’t mind but it just makes time fly by which kind of depresses me. I mean I feel like the months go by in warp speed. It’s like we are in that one part of Space Mountain before you take off.

I have been selling a few things on Ebay but now I will probably wait until we get back to post more. I always calculate the ending time to end when I am in town but then I always seem to forget that I wait until people pay before I ship. Sometimes I even take my chances if they have good feedback and ship before payment. Well, I just feel like it’s such a game that it hurts my brain. How much do I charge? How much for shipping? Is this even worth it to put up for sale? I mean you have to add the cost to list, the cost to Ebay when it sells, the cost to PayPal and then the cost to ship!!! I mean sometimes you look back it seems like you sold a nice Disneystore outfit or something like that for .99.

Well enough rambling by me. I hope you are all doing well!
I just wanted to let you guys all know I’m still out here lurking away! I am always happy to know you guys are here for me when I need ya!

I try and try to read up on all of you. It sounds like everyone is in the same boat as me and is just busy, busy, busy! I hope for all of you it’s always good fun busy!

My thoughts are with you Macraven:grouphug: ! Know I am thinking about you and your family.

TiggerRN I hope DS is better soon. We have had colds sweep through our house and I am hoping they finsish up for our trip. I just hate when someone is sick! I wish we didn't have to deal with that! Pixie dust your way....:wizard:

Happy Memorial Day to all!
Thank you to all our military that serve our country so we can be free!

All of you that needs hugs and prayers and PD for health concerns, sicknesses :grouphug: :wizard:
Tiggerrn's DS, KimRaye's DH, Mac and DS

Hi to all :wave2:

Good afternoon and Happy Memorial Day to all!!!
Hope you are enjoying this beautiful day.
We are just hanging about the house. DS still has a fever today, which means I will need a sitter for tomorrow since I have to work and he is still not better. He does well when the Motrin is working, but you can sure tell when it starts to wear off. He did eat a little yesterday and today, so that is reassuring.
DH is out mowing. I need to clean our windows. We have a crazy robin that keeps pecking at our living room window trying to get in, and he has made an awful mess and the window and windowsill look dreadful.:rotfl2: Crazy bird!!!
Doing some of this also:laundy:
Deb, have a great 2 days at AKL. Would LOVE to be going as well. Even if it were only for a couple of days. Take in the smells. That is one hotel that I remember most by all the wonderful smells.
Well, gonna run. Later all.

hope you weren't referring to the animal smells :lmao:

:lmao: :rotfl2:
Actually, NO!!!!:rotfl2: The lobby smells wonderful. Whatever wood they burn in there has a nice smell. Sometimes I smell it around here from the people burning wood in those little outdoor smokers. Cedar? Not sure, but every time I smell it, I go back to AKL.
I notice the same smell at the parks covered in fresh wood chips after a nice rain.
I never once noticed the smell of any of the animals there.
