mvazul- I tried to look up your town you grew up- Canton, PA, and I couldn't find it on the map. I'll have to try a different PA map.
Sounds like you are a little homesick for PA If I happen to go to Lancaster,PA, I'll have to look for GoodnPlenty restaurant.
How was your birthday on Saturday? Did you have your birthday lunch or dinner at the Cheesecake Factory?

I'm not surprised you couldn't find it. It's fairly small. If it helps any, the zip is 17724. I have been able to find it on Mapquest and even be able to get in pretty close on their satellite view.

Yes, I am homesick. I love my little town and the area around it. It's a beautiful area. Canton is in a valley in the Appalachain Mountains. It doesn't help that my entire family are all still out there. (Except my dad - he moved to Nashville last summer.) My mother, sister and grandparents will be here Easter weekend. My dad is planning to come, too, but he is the type that says he will come and flakes out just before he is supposed to leave. I can't wait to see my family.

No, we didn't do the Cheesecake Factory for my birthday - but I had a great day (I posted above). We went to Pizzeria Due's. It was awesome!! We're planning TCF for Easter brunch. I really need to call them to make sure they're going to be open and to see if I need to make reservations.

Hey Rose That's TOO COOL about your twins! tell me the truth...is it harder now that they are older? do they fight like cats and dogs sometimes or is it just MY twins that do that? just wait until your daughter is a few years older....whoo weeee! be afraid, be VERY afraid! They are actually at the stage where they want SEPERATE Birthdays! anyway, thanks for the info on how long it takes to get to Rolling Meadow. At this stage out here in California my husband does 130 miles a day in his car....what do you think? maybe a little easier of drive out there? HAHA! we've gone through 3 cars in the last 15 years! and there was NO SNOW! YIKES! I wonder if people out there drive as CRAZY as they do out here? Californians are ALWAYS in a hurry! if you can drive a block up the street without having to jam on your brakes because some doofus pulled a dumb move you are lucky. So, I can only hope!
We are hoping to go to DW somewhere around Christmas time since we will be a lot closer and the airfare should be cheaper we hope.

And she thought that perhaps you all here might have some other good info/tips for me. I am going to be in the Chicago area in June for a quickie stop over on the way across country and was wondering about a few things, like where to go, best place for pizza, things to do, etc.

If you have a minute and some ideas you'd like to share, I'd love to hear them!! Here is a link to the thread if you would like to post some info.

OMGsh!!! He is adorable!!! I grew up with Labs and have always wanted a yellow. My mom has a yellow now - Libby- and she is the best dog. My sister has a chocolate - Maggie - and she is also a great dog. Maybe when the kids grow up and leave me, I will get a yellow then!!

Rose have a great trip this summer. I'm glad you have something fun to look forward to.
I need to get a new ticker up here myself. I got a vacation approved for this summer. Very exciting for me since last summer I had to beg people to cover my shifts so I could get out east to my niece's wedding.
So, I got the last week of July and first one in August approved. So now we will be going to CA again to visit friends and relatives. Start in SanJose and drive south along PCH to Carlsbad. Trying Legoland this time and of course will go to DL for a couple of days and staying with friends. North going to SanFrancisco and visiting DH sister and his college roomie. I need to try to remember how to do a ticker myself.

Doing a little of and vacuumed and cleaned a bit today. It got chilly here this afternoon after a beautiful and warm morning and early afternoon.
Well, better go get dinner. Was supposed to be burgers on the grill, but the rainman had other ideas.

Tiggerrn2 Oh I remember those days when Hershey my dog wouldn't sleep. I brought the kennel in Alex's room so the puppy wouldn't feel alone. Remember they are pack animals used to sleeping together.

when i picked up the brochures for tarheel, i picked up 2 extra sets in case anyone else needs them for chi town. i saw someone mentioned the wendall boat tours. that was one i think i sent off to tarheel. too bad she won't be in town when the chicago river is green.

Mac I sure hope you feel better soon. Luckely I never did get sick like I thought. It turned out to be a migrane I think I take that over the flu anyday. Not that migranes are fun but atleast they are over faster then the flu.

i'm sick of being sick, which i am sure you all have heard that expression before.

i don't know which is worse, the migraine or flu.
i think the migraine is a big bummer, when it hits someone, it is debilatating.

we turned the furnace back on this evening.
