roseprincess, i read what you said about your aunt the other day and prayed she would be fine. this evening i read that she passed. i'm sorry it turned out this way. you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
it is never easy to let go of a loved one.

I always love Fridays so much!!!!
I love the fact that I don't have to rush around for 2 days trying to get Stephanie out the door to school Now if her teacher wouldn't give her any homework for one weekend - now that would be nice!!!!


Rose - I'm so sorry to hear about your Aunt I will keep your family in my thought and prayers.

Debbie - I love the pictures!!!!! You have beautiful children!!! I took some pictures too, but I haven't put them on my computer yet. I still can't get over that snowman. I tried so hard to make a snowman here, and the snow just wouldn't allow it. You've inspired me to make a Mickey snowman the next time it snows (which I hope isn't until next year )

Rose - I'm sorry about your aunt as well.

What a whacko week..youngest dd had strep as of MOnday...so yesterday wa her first day back at school, she still has such a nasty cough. I worked the book fair at school all day yesterday...my feet hurt.

Tonight dh is taking dd to the Daddy/Daughter Dance....I ordered them a coursage & boutineere (how the heck do you spell that?) she's so excited. Oldest dd who is now too old for daddy/daughter dance, & I are going to see Bridge to Teribithia (again with the spelling - I obviously need more coffee)...it looks kinda weird to me...I don't like weird movies...hated the whole Harry Potter thing...so we'll see.

Other than that the weekend looks kinda ok...a big fundraiser auction for Home of The Sparrow on Saturday night but nothing else...

I want it to be 40 degrees for more than 2 days!!!

Good morning all!!


I am TOTALLY refusing to believe that it is going to snow again!!
I think it's all a conspiracy theory!! I better go check to make sure I still have my chocolate pudding locked in a steel container in the fridge!! (Hopefully everyone has seen the movie Conspiracy Theory and my little comment didn't just go over everyone's head!! )



I have to go get my van from the dealership today.
I ended up having to leave it there. It needed a lot more work on it than I thought. Last week my van started making this squeaking noise when I turned the wheel. Turns out some suspension arms went bed and need to be replaced. Luckily, I have an extended warranty on my van so the cost was covered AND I got a free car rental too.

I can't wait to get my van back though. It's really weird being in a car and so low to the ground!!!


slo I think it has been a rare occasion where Lauren has had homework on the weekend. If anything, she will read. Lauren is a BIG reader! Right now she is working on 2 chapter books, one of them being Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. HUGE book!!


Hersey Glad to hear that Alex thought the water park was fun!! I might have to drag the kids there soon!!


geffric Maybe you could go to German town for dinner....if you can't make it to WDW that is!!

Debbie Thanks for sharing your cute pics!! Where did you get your snowman accessories kit from? I'm guessing it's a kit.

In regards to our Mickey snowman.....
The hat came from MGM studios,, the carrot was picked out of Rabbit's garden in the 100 acre woods, the coal was from the seven dwarves diamond mine, the sticks were from Animal Kingdom and the snow was from good old Chicago!

My Mom got the kit on clearance last year but I don't know where. Maybe Michaels or Kohls??

First off, Rose, so sorry your aunt passed away suddenly. I will keep you in my thoughts.

Debbie: I loved the pics! Your kids are adorable!! They looked like they had as much fun as Megan did in the snow.

Bunchkin: The weather reports don't look too good... I hate to tell ya, but I think it's going to snow again. I do love your optimistic attitude though!!

I hope everything goes well with your van today! Hope it zooms just like new when you get it!

Bunchy knows me well enough now to know that I don't EVAH wish for snow or cold. But, if it has to come, at least it's on a weekend when I don't have to be anywhere!!

For 2 weekends straight, someone has been sick here and I've missed taking the kids to the movies like I promised them. And they want to see Happy Feet at Marcus. I don't think they care if there is a blizzard....we are going!!

If everyone and anyone who is interested in a Chicago Bowling meet can post what weekend days they have available in March and April that would help me get an idea of when everyone can go!! It would be really nice to have a big group there!!
So please post dates you think are open for you and I'll keep track and then we can officially pick a date!!
