Hi all-
I was not feeling well at all yest I woke up with a massive sinus head cold yest. and shivering most of the day. Today I feel alot better No sinus headache today and no sore throat I hope I continue to feel better through the rest of the days

Bunchkin- sorry to hear about the McDonald's kid A few yrs back, a 2 yr old girl bit Chrissy in the shoulder This was when Chrissy was 4. My dad was with me and the kids, and my dad saw it happening. Somehow the mom of the girl knew about it( maybe b/c Chrissy screamed) and the mom did apologize to us. I wanted to say something to the mom, but my dad jumped in and said "that's ok" I really didn't think it was "okay", but we let it go. Thank God the bite wasn't deep, it hardly broke the skin. So I put Neosporin ointment often on it and it healed. Didn't need to resort to oral antibiotics,which I thought I would have to call the doc for antibiotics.

Not sure why kids and some parents feel their kids have a right to act extremely out of control at McDonald's playlands Always a mystery to me.

Hersey- hope all goes well with Alex's world fair project

Rose sorry to hear you are feeling a bit under the weather. Glad to hear today is a bit better. that every day will be well.
Bunchkin(s) hope you are both feeling better today also. I wish you'd have given that mother what for at McDs. I see so many teens that obviously got away with that behavior their whole life, and now just look at them!!! They are rude to all adults even their own grandmothers. Such a shame. My mother would've threated me within an inch of my life. Sort of the way I do mine You know, in that very low, "you had better get over here and do not move again" voice!!
Took DS to the movie theater this moring. Saw Flushed Away. It was pretty funny. Kids loved it. We went with a friend of mine and her 3 kids and they were all laughing. Our local area Marcus theater shows kid movies on Sat. morning at 10am for $2.50 a person and includes a bag of popcorn. Next week is Happy Feet.
DD had ballet practice so she could not come along unfortunately. Maybe next week.
Well, better run. DD has Daddy Daughter dance later today and DS has a play date coming over. So I'd better get some work done around here quickly.

went to the train station this morninng and got son.
made it there in 50 minutes, not traffic, wow!!

of course the train came in late and had to wait one hour.....but no traffic coming back home either. just hoping that tomorrow won't be bad.
it's the last day of the auto show so we are leaving super early and just will eat dinner at the union station.


have to fix lunch and get son to work soon.
then i will work and catch up on my emails before tackling the house today.

I bought myself a new crockpot and I needed to try it out. Here's the recipe I made,very easy and good.

Greek Beef Stew recipe
1 medium onion
4 cloves fresh garlic (about 2 teaspoons minced)
2 1/2 pounds beef chuck or blade roast, cut into cubes, or stew meat
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
1/2 teaspoon oregano
1 cinnamon stick or 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
28 ounces canned, crushed tomatoes
1/2 cup dry red wine, beef broth or water

Turn the crock pot on HIGH.

Chop onion and add to pot. Add minced garlic. Top with meat. Sprinkle in salt, pepper and oregano and add cinnamon stick or cinnamon. Add tomatoes and wine. Reduce heat to LOW and cook 8 to 10 hours. Meat should be falling-apart tender.

Serve over couscous, orzo, mashed potatoes or rice.

Serves 4 to 6.

I am due October 8, 2007, so my Disney trip I was gonna take with my mom in August, well I canceled my trip. Aces babydoll had her daughter on January 30. Well the girl's are doing well.

Alex was born 10/11, so maybe? No matter if it's a boy or girl all will be well I'm sure Ace's will miss you for now but it's good that your staying here for now so your mom can keep a eye on you. Stay healthy. for all of you.

So, we watched The Guardian last night, and it was really good It definitly gives you a higher appreciation of those men and women who serve in The Coast Guard

I do remember Kevin Costner was in another coast guard/ naval movie in the
'80s. It was called No Way Out, he was a russian spy but disguised as a naval officer(got some of my info from DH ).Gene Hackman was also in the movie.

Ooops! I didn't finish my post. I hit the wrong button for some reason
My parents took the kids overnight last night, just wanted to out of the blue, which was fine by me and DH We hardly have date nights, so that was nice to be away from the kids. After my mom picked up the kids, DH and I had to pick up Chrissy's girl scout cookies- 100 boxes of them ordered!
Just found out about the GS cookie pick-up earlier yest afternoon!
One of hte moms from our GS troop was calling all of us to pick up the cookies today!(yest).
Then after that, DH and I did order chinese. I wasn't in a big mood to go out to dinner, so ordered chinese take-out.

Gotta get going and pick up the kids today and busy with stuff the rest of the day.

Well, have to work a few hours today to be off a few hours tomorrow. Kids have no school. Hard to get a sitter at 6am, so had to do a little job sharing these two days. Better get my buns in motion.
