Well I had to go downtown to work today.. UGH!! It is vry cold out. One place i passed on the train this morning said -7 and that was real temp, not wind chill temp BRRRRRR. Aces - Congratulations on having your new little angel  She is just beautiful!!!:cloud9:

Rosemarie - I'm sorry you aren't feeling well either. PD for you and hope your feel better..

DisneyBride I love POP.. Have fun

MAC I'll PM you .. Let talk about October Trip..

Talk to ya later

Becky- let me know who the children's author that came by your ds's school yest. I know our school is really involved with the literacy program big time.

I lied. When I asked DS about it, he was confused & then I got the whole story. It was a storyteller NOT an author. It was also a woman. That's what I get for only overhearing a part of conversation without really paying any attention. I knew it had to do with stories!! :rotfl:

ACES -- Congratulations on the wonderful little girl. Such a cutie!

SLO -- My DD has been GS camping since "entering 3rd? grade", I was the mean mom who sent her to her first camp experience without a friend. Ended up she was in the same cabin as her best friend & I'm not sure how that happened as they weren't signed up for the same program (so one of them must have gotten 2nd choice or something). Her friend was buddy with a neighbor girl, so all 3 knew each other. That was actually her worse year because her friend did end up with homesickness to the point of annoying DD. It was a short camp but DD never wanted to camp with her friend again. Her friend never actually went camping again. DD loved the camp though and has gone every year (and every year she goes on her own, which I'm not so sure I would have done at her age!!!) I thought it was kind of funny because *I* was really nervous about DD, so had been talking to the friend's mom. The friend's mom was completely confident that her DD would have no problems whatsoever because she had been away lots of times, etc... It was quite a shock to hear from DD that it was the other way around.

Poor DD has been through camp with tornado warnings/heat warnings. Last year it was during those really bad storms, she spent 1/2 the camp inside the safety shelter & then I guess there was a safe room within the safety shelter that at something like 2 or 3 AM, they all had to cram in there at one point. It was also the most amazing thing that all the girls with cell phones (which you aren't supposed to have), all had family emergencies & got picked up from camp. ;) DD told me most of those girls weren't real happy with being there in the first place though. Yet even with all that, she asks to go back every year. Every year when I go pick her up, I wonder what new thing/problem will have occurred that we learn to adjust so it doesn't happen the following year. This year though she has her brace which is going to add a whole new dimension to camp. At least she can take it off for riding the horses (providing it doesn't storm - I'm sure it will or be unbearably hot) :lmao:

However, my DS-10 has not been camping & I could see him not doing well there but Boy Scouts don't really have anything similar. It's all family camping & I don't camp (maybe Ft. Wilderness Cabins will be as close as I come, thank you very much!).

Good chilly morning everyone!!

So they say it will be in the 40's by Tuesday!!
I'm not sure if I'm buying into that yet!! ;)

slo & geffric I'm still sick. Actually feeling slightly better than yesterday. Stuffy nose, chest congestion, slight sore throat still, and lethargic at times. Not good when you have a lot to do! And now DH is sick. I guess it's his turn. ;)
Why is it that we always get sicker than the kids do??

Rosemarie I hope you're feeling better soon.

Disneybride We loved POP too!! The kids really loved the theme and the store is great!!

aces We haven't heard from Amy or her mom in a while. :confused3

Donna I had a dinner disaster the other week. It doesn't happen frequently, but when it does  !!! :rotfl:

Lauren and Megan have a 1/2 day today. I am picking them up from school and then taking Hunter to preschool. Then us girls are off to McD's for lunch (their choice) and then to the craft store. Should be a lot of fun!!
Too bad Sam has to work!! ;)

Plus I have to get ready for my Brownie meeting tonight. I can't wait to see if all of them show up for once!! :rolleyes1

Hi Everyone…
I can’t believe I was away from the computer for almost 2 days! Yikes! There is a lot to catch up on with you guys! When you are thread-a-holic like me there’s a lot of pictures to go back and look at too!
Nothing very exciting…one day was all about the snow and the next day my cousin was over again for the day (plus DD had her Valentine’s party at school where I am the room Mom).
Hope everyone is good…I will try and read up on what’s been going on with everybody.
My guess is each post will probably mention, snow, cold or “I need a vacation from this".
Am I right????
Debbie

Good Morning Everyone!!:goodvibes

What a welcome...aw shucks....:shamrock: Was looking for the Goofy...oh well!

We still dont have a Starbucks here in my southwest suburb:confused3 its being built though!! I still love Dunkin DOnuts and their price:)

I am more excited about going to POP cause my mom is going to the World for her very first time! And to see her experience that with my daughter....My mom will love the '50's stuff, and my DD will love the '70's...while she doesnt understand much from that era or TV show, she like it! And as for me, I am a '80's girl! Anyone remember BBC'S? I fwel so old...that was my fave place downtown then they changed it to Eddie Rockets, have no idea what it is now!

My daughter going on our trip will be 10 on March10! However, I get to pay child price for our trip! :goodvibes I just had a baby last June, we call her our Miracle, Magical baby!

She was born on our anniversary, after we spent the last 3 years losing 3 baby boys to untimely m/c's....sorry too much 411...wow I havent ..just gotta go

DisneyBride03
Well, maybe too much 411...Enjoy your day everyone! And a special thanks to debbie6621...(I think thats it) I read one of her posts somewhere, and that's how I found this thread!
Your welcome!
Glad to see you here!
Nice people here!

Too bad Sam has to work!! ;)

I didn't know you had a second daughter? Tee Hee hee! :cutie: Did you adopt or did she just show up on your doorstep one day? :rolleyes1

Well have fun and McD's and yes, I wish I didn't have to work either, but we can hang out on Monday!! I'm looking forward to my three day weekend. I hope its 40 on Tuesday, I could use a littel thawing out! I'm keeping warm thoughts!!

Hello and healthy wishes to all you sick friends out there! I think we all need some extra sunshine or an extra dose of Florida sunshine in a bottle!

I got some work to do, but I'll be back later this afternoon to check in on y'all!

:beach:

I didn't think that I was implying Megan was my child??
Sorry to have mentioned what was going on today.

Oh no, now don't be upset! I think its adorable that you mentioned her like that. It's like she's a part of your family and that's exactly the feeling I want her to have. She really likes being there with you guys! I really do wish I could be hanging out with you guys today. McDonalds sounds like a lot more fun than this place.

Hey, that's my DD's birthday!!! She had a big sleepover when she turned 10 on the 10th. This year she's turning 13 and we will be at a gymnastics competition on March 10. It's your DD's Golden Birthday (turning the age of your date!). She will have so much fun with a trip to WDW for her birthday!

Bunchy If the kids what a "big brother" I'll drop off Alex?

What a strange day this is becoming. To many nuts on the phone. I had to look to make sure no full moon.:rolleyes1

 It's hard to 'hear' a tone of voice on the web. ;) I thought you might be upset, but I now know you were just yanking my chain.....as usual!! :lmao: :rotfl: :hippie:

1.) Does he clean up after himself?

2.) Does he know how to use the vacuum?

3.) Will he babysit the younger two?

:rotfl: ;)

Actually he's too old!! I would have to pay higher ticket prices for him at WDW, so forget it!!! :rotfl:

I had my fair share of wacko run ins today. :headache:

First I had a 3 year old at McD's ram right into me intentionally with his arms and fists up and punch me in the stomach. This was while I was in line. His mom just turned around and said sorry and than laughed. I said "oh that's nice, laugh about it so he thinks what he did was funny. What is that teaching him??". The he turned around and head butt me in the stomach! I yelled out again, his mom told him to stop again and then I said if he does it one more time I would push back.
It was some curly, red haired Problem Child type kid. A real beast, him and his brothers. All running around and the mom TOTALLY CLUELESS!!! And not correcting anyone of them.

Then we went to Micheals and while leaving some woman not looking both ways almost ran the girls and myself over while she was backing out of her parking spot!!! :scared1: I had to grab both girls and drag them over to the other side of me while I was yelling to get on the other side of the parking lane. This woman finally turned her head and looked and saw us running. I totally YELLED at her!!!!
Man I was peeved!!!!

I can't wait to see what this evenings Brownier troop meeting brings!!! :faint:

Sorry you had a bad run-in with the child. HOWEVER, since you went to McD's, this begs the question -- do they have Shamrock shakes yet? :lmao: This is all because another thread was asking about it and now I'm on a quest to get them one if they have them. DH is actually stopping by one on his way home from work to check (and will end up getting the kids some kid's meals).

Bunchy Alex does clean up after himself and vaccum, but alas he does cost more at WDW. Oh and he does very short babysitting.

If I had one more person ask me if my name was ---- as if I would lie about my name, I was not going to be responsible.

I bought myself a new crockpot today. I can control the temp :thumbsup2 now no more over cooked food :woohoo:. Simple pleasures.

HI EVERYONE - The week end is here woopie.

Bunch - LOVE the the pic from Oceans.

Good morning everyone! Hope everyone likes snow, cause we have more!

I think I'm tired of shoveling. I want to see the brown grass again. :rotfl:

I need to get a early start on my chores I have too much to do today as usual.

Alex has his world fair project due at the end of the month. Boy is this month going by fast. Trying to help him out, he is going to be needing the computer for the next week to type up stuff. I need to get my act together so I can get my work done too. Oh I hate to be that organized.:rotfl:

Debbie You can laugh at me, all that talk in January about me cleaning and purging. Well I think that stuff must have moved back in, cause I look around and :faint:

I volunteered again to help with our fun fair at Alex's school again. I must like burning the candle at both ends. Too much to do too little time.

Well the laundry is not going to wash it's self so off I go:laundy:

Wow....it is really snowing again here
18.gif

So.....I think I'm going to stay in today, until it's time to go to church tonight:)

Bunchkin - How are you and Tony feeling today? Sending lots of PD for both of you!!!!:wizard: Sounds like you had a stressful time yesterday:headache: I hate it so much when kids act like that McDonalds kids - especially at the frame shop. Then when I very nicely ask the child to knock it off, there parents glare at you like you smacked them upside the head:mad: Then parents wonder why their children are brats :confused3
**I like your new picture in your siggie. I've framed that picture so many times at my store. Some of them have been normal poster size, and some have been MASSIVE  Either way - it's a cool poster!!!! :thumbsup2

Debbie - Did you and your DD play in the snow again? I tried building a snowman here, and there was no way the snow would allow it :sad2: Which made me even more impressed with your Mickey snowman.

Disneybride - I'm so happy to hear about your Miracle baby :cloud9: but also so sad to hear about your miscarriages:sad1: I'm sorry you had to go through that. You never have to worry about giving us to much information - that's what we are here for :grouphug: We are a great support group for each other :goodvibes

Sam - I need some more sunshine too :sunny: I can hardly wait for summer - my pool is looking so lonely outside all by outside ;)

Becky - Wow, your DD is becoming a teenager soon - is she excited??

HERSEY - Sounds like you had a bad day at work :headache: I hope you have a good weekend:wizard:

bigben - :wave2:

geffric - I bet it is a bummer to look back at last year and know you were somewhere better. I hope you have a good weekend :)

WEll, Ms. Katie has just woke up and I need to help her out. I can hardly wait until she doesn't wear pull-ups to bed anymore - but that doesn't seem like anytime soon:rolleyes:

Have a good Saturday everyone!!!
