Welcome, DisneyBride'03

Which is okay with me, because now I don't have to cook on this Valentine's Day
He was just about to go get it when his fire dept pager went off for someone that fell on the ice. So now I have to wait until he's done with his call to go get the food. I hope it doesn't take to long - I'm hungry!!!!!
Thanks slo...I tell ya, its a jungle out there..(other threads) !! Especially the pin/discount thing! Sorry I admitted to receiving one ! I have only skimmed this thread, but everyone seems friendly...and happy!

And my DD has 2 days off of school, gotta love that Casimer Pulaski fella! And its her b day! Just me, her and Grandma! My hubby moved here officially 12/24/02....he loves to shovel ?! And we have a 175 ft driveway...hellooo, obviously we dont live downtown! Its my first time at POP! Can't wait!
I would have chosen something else. I had the Surf and Turf. I could've eaten 10 lunches for that one dinner.
Like I said, never would've eaten it. It was a special and the price wasn't posted, and stupid me didn't think to ask ahead.
What is this pin discount thing you are talking about? I've heard about it, but I know nothing about it
Where did you go eat? We had Bellacinos - have you heard of them? They also own Mancino's in Illinois.

Still a sore throat too.
Luckily, one of the other mom's who is a head room mom for her other child's class gave us extra boxes they had.
I hope your kids have their Valentine parties today!!
to the Chicago thread!!
And I think it's great you got a code!!
SamIAM...going to POP 3/2 to 3/5 Mini trip as well! My *big* discount was a value resort for $83 at this time, regularly $119...just needed a Disney Fix!And my DD has 2 days off of school, gotta love that Casimer Pulaski fella! And its her b day! Just me, her and Grandma! My hubby moved here officially 12/24/02....he loves to shovel ?! And we have a 175 ft driveway...hellooo, obviously we dont live downtown! Its my first time at POP! . That's a long story, I'll tell you sometime. I see you're doing the P&P party! Make sure to let us know how you liked that! I hear it's not doing well attendance wise, so it might not come back next year. I heard though that the decorations and the lights are the best of any party so far! Another trip report I read around here somewhere said the Fireworks were really awesome too!
It's amazing how this thread actually "feels" like a community where people are actually nice to one another. Not saying all the other threads aren't
......So...slo...the "pin" is actually a number, code I rec'd in the mail, a cute little postcard advertising Valu Resorts and how I could go on my vacation sooner than I thought. Rate was $83/nt. I think I only received perhaps is beacuse I visited the new site, disneyparks.com and ordered a dvd vaca planner. (?) After booking and proving to my hubby I could our daughter on this trip for abt $1000 (inc airfare) I find out I could have stayed at a mod, water view for $120 w/the pin #! But I wanted to try the POP!
PM me!
Youngest one is teething...will be hard to leave her for a few days, but Daddy is happy to have her all to himself. She is his "first" he missed out on the baby years obvisously with my older children.
I will fill you in on the P and P Party! Wasn't going to go, but not sure if I'd ever get the chance again. Yeah for low attendance! Thanks slo...I tell ya, its a jungle out there..(other threads) !! Especially the pin/discount thing! Sorry I admitted to receiving one ! I have only skimmed this thread, but everyone seems friendly...and happy!

So true about some other threads.
I tend to tread lightly on some of them (and actually run the other way from others!
I don't debate well.)At their school yest, they even had a children's author show up as scheduled, Brian Cleary. I was surprised he made it in yest, as I thought he would cancel b/c of the weather. He must be doing visits at other schools in my dist. I suppose.
As it's an advanced class but she hasn't taken the prequisite one. I did have some e-mails with the camp director asking if the previous camps she took at Camp Dean counted. The camp director basically said it sounded like she had the basics covered & if I felt she could handle a week away to go ahead and sign up. She's going to Camp McCormick and taking a horse one. Now, I have to make sure she goes gets some boots with the proper heels before all boots disappear off the shelf (finding boots that can be used for riding in the summer is next to impossible! Unless anyone here knows a place that sells horse riding stuff year-round including boots).
I hope you all have a *great* day!
Had chunky chicken noodle soup for lunch.
I usually don't get roses from him on Valentine's Day, usually carnations. But I love roses better! We cooked dinner at home last night. Maybe we will go out to dinner over the weekend.
