Hi all- quick fly by.....
Thank you all for wishing Chrissy and Matthew a Happy Birthday!!
I'm sure they will have homework as usual today, unfortunately
I was a very busy bee today! Put birthday streamers up, baked a birthday cake( I'm not one for baking,guess cake came out well), wrapped their presents, signed their birthday cards. Not sure what we are doing about dinner yet. Matthew wants SteakNShake. I prefer if we order a pizza or go to the blue restaurant. It will depend on when DH gets home.


Slo- thanks for prayers for my BIL . He tried to commit the S word(suicide) Monday morning at his home. He was found unconscious a half hour later by my SIL(his wife). She came home from work and found him unconscous. This is I think his 3rd attempt at suicide in the past yr(since summer 2006). Quite sad The thing is, he is upset he was brought to the hosp for this We don't talk much with him, as the times we tried to call his house the past yr or so, no one answers the phone.
Just continue to pray I suppose.
This is the same BIL that had the electricution accident a yr and a half ago.

Geffric- I didn't know you had an MRI done lately, at least I didn't remember you metioned it here
I haven't heard of the diagnosis before. It sounds like it's something you get when getting older. I do hope PT will help you

Bunchkin- have a great trip in Vegas and DL!

Good evening all.
Man will I be happy when the next 2 weeks are over.
Hope it will bring warmer weather as well.
School's FunFair is the 14th. Working way too hard for this thing.
DD party is Friday and the house is a disaster. Nowhere for them to even do the craft I bought and I thought I would be home to clean tomorrow. Now I have to go to school to make copies for FunFair that need to go out tomorrow because of the short week. If only the Pres of our PTO would have forwarded the info to me sooner, I could've done this today while I had an hour to kill before school got out after the field trip. SHEESH!!!
Need to bake cupcakes too. Found these really cute eggshapes for cupcakes from Reynold's wrap. Individual little egg cupcakes for each kid. I will let the girls all frost and decorate their own. (It will waste some time. )
Geffric, good luck with PT. In my experience, this does help sometimes, but often is just a means to putting off surgery until later. I hope for you it is successful. Check under the WebMD site.
mvazul, you will never hear me complain that it is too hot. I love to bake!!! (in the sun that is)I would be fine to live in Texas or Florida. Work indoors, so always air there. And air at home if I want, so heat 365 would agree with me just fine. DH not so much. Hence the reason we are still here. Plus most family live here as well.
Well, better get to bed. Much to do tomorrow.

Hi all!!!


It was a busy, busy day for me. And tomorrow will be more of the same if not worse.

Did get a little pampering in this evening though.
Went and had a manicure and pedicure at some place new. I haven't done that in a while and it was wonderfully relaxing.
I had a whirlpool pedicure! Big, huge massaging/reclining chair connected to a whirlpool tub for the tootsies!!!
Could have easily went to sleep!! No really, I could have!!! I'm beat!!!



Well, I need to run and finish some laundry!

I'll make sure to check in tomorrow as it will be my last day until the 16th or 17th. Unless I get the chance to surf at mom-inlaws house or sister-inlaws.

Thanks Sandy! Surgery is Monday. Kelly was fever-free today but, her ear still hurts, according to her. Dr. saw nothing wrong with her ear tho. Thank you tho.

Kim...DD will be in 4 year old preschool next year and I am leaning towards sending her to St Paul one more year on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

DO IT!!! I'll be there!!! Mrs. Nowak is great, imho! Kelly had her 2 years for Pre-K 3 & 4. Kelly's class of PreK-3 was Mrs. Nowak's 1st class ever and, she has said she won't attend a graduation ceremony (all teachers are invited every year) until HER 1st class Graduates! I thought, and think, she's great! Let me know any concerns you might have tho, OK? I/We have been at the school for a long time now. Mostly happy.

Tiggerrn2 our fun fair is on the 13th Our theme is It's Alex's last year at this school next year I don't think I'm volunteering. I am to stressed trying to fit everything in.

Bunchkin That must have made your feet feel good. I hope you can get some sleep and relax.

I want my vac to come faster, but that would mean summer to have to get here and leave again. So I guess I can be patient and wait for the warmer weather and stope whining

Last night we had dinner at Olive Garden - I love that place!!!! We had a lot of errands to do, and we decided to go out to eat (we've actually been doing that alot lately, because we've been doing a lot of night time errands)


Today I go to work - 3 days left
I keep looking around there trying not forget anything. After 19 years I've left many things lying around. But I think I have everything





macraven - Where in the St. Louis area were you from? I have a good friend that used to live in Kirkwood (I used to visit her often there).

Debbie - Oh, that makes sense. I didn't think I heard you say you were going back to school. Good luck finding a good preschool - I would ask a lot of people their opinion - you will get an ear full (good and bad)

Bunchkin - That's great that you pampered yourself before your trip - we mom's deserve that once in awhile I love those pedicures too, and I'm totally hooked on them. Last spring and summer I had one done about every 3-4 weeks. I can hardly wait until the weather warms up so I can go get another one done - I haven't had one since before our Sept. trip. I found this great place in the mall that does it, and Kevin comes with so he can walk around with the kids while I'm getting myself pampered - it's a great arrangement!!!

Good morning, everyone!!

geffric - I'm sorry to hear about the problems with your back. I have no answers for you. I have never heard of it. I'm sure it must be a relief to have a name for it, though. Good luck with the therapy.

Today is my last day of work for the week!! My family will be here tomorrow. They are leaving PA this afternoon and will be stopping somewhere overnight. I cannot wait to see them! My sister came here to visit in October, but I haven't seen my mom or grandparents since Christmas, 2005. DS hasn't seen any of them in over 2 years. My grandparents were going to bring my cousin (who is 18 months older than DS), but he has to have surgery on his jaw today. It would have been nice to see him. He and DS always get along so well. Plus, he has never been to Chicago. I'm sure he would ahve loved it. Maybe next time. We will get to see everyone in September - another cousin is getting married then.

I think my dad and his wife are coming, too. If they do, they will be here Saturday. They are driving up from Nashville. Dad has never been to Chicago, either. It's kind of funny. While my parents were married, our family never went anywhere. We pretty much stuck to PA and NY state. We never traveled. Now my dad lives in Nashville. My mom had lived in Connecticut a little while with her new husband and they travel often.

Crud - I'm rambling, again! Sorry!!

I can't believe it's a chilly one, again, today. Here's hoping it starts to warm up soon. Especially before next weekend - we have Cubs' tickets next Saturday!!

Kids are happy, the Easter Bunny made a special early visit to our house yesterday afternoon!
We 'sent' him an email asking him to come early so we don't have to lug around all the Easter treats and gifts!!

I think I'll be going in for pedicures to this place I went to more often. It wasn't that bad of a price either!!!
We leave for O'Hare at approx 5:30am and our flight leaves at 9am.

This may be the last day I'm on the board til Tuesday, April 17th, unless I'm bored at my Mom & Dad's house and log in from there! I leave on Monday morning to visit them near Tampa and then I'll be spending two days in the World on 12th and 13th.
