Good news! I got a new job! (My previous job had been eliminated on 12/08).

Hello, everyone...another dreary, dull looking afternoon. I really, really don't like January!!!

SLO...I sure hope I didn't sound like I was bragging with what I wrote yesterday about my kids...I guess I am proud of them, though. Christopher left to go back to school early this morning, and I miss him already! I have no idea *when* Brian is going to get married...she is still going to school (she wants to be a lawyer, so is in grad school now).

HERSEY...How cool that you are going to go to Disney when room rates are good and the food & wine festival is going on, *and* the Halloween party, too! We've gone to the food & wine festival, but not the Halloween party. Are costumes required??

BUNCHKIN...I don't like Oprah at all, but even I was tempted to record this show, as I had heard they were going to be on today. I am sure it was quite emotional. I just can't even begin to imagine what those families have been thru! And, yes, they do have some Disney Precious Moments at Walt Disney World. Mark bought me the one called Happiness is Best Shared Together...it's a little girl and boy with the Mickey Mouse hats on...so cute...as a memory of our most recent trip. Was your Chip & Dale figurine quest a success?? And, yep, I think Christopher is going to LOVE his new *monster* toy!! Dinner was pretty good, but since that meal is a fav around here, there never seems to be enough to go around, so we had to, of course!, have popcorn later on last night. (and even our little dog, Binx, gets to share in the popcorn snack!) Your crockpot recipe sounds like the one I posted where I use stew meat, and cook that in there (also doesn't need to be browned). I sure do hope they can figure out something for you at the foot doctor!!! Wishing you all the best!!!

TIGGER...I am so sorry to hear about your nephew's baby. How very, very sad....

DEBBIE...Addison is actually pretty close to *me* as I live in Roselle and I actually work in an office that is in Addison! And, yep, my head is spinning, too with all this century/50/100 stuff...I just know that this year when it's *my* birthday I'll be hitting the 50-mark and I am NOT happy about that! <well, maybe if I could manage to get a trip to Disney out of it, I would change my mind??? >

Oh my the news just announced Lindsey is in rehab for alcohol abuse. Say it can't be she isn't old enough to drink she's only 20

I actually got my act together and did a crock pot meal (chicken) I'll let you all know tomorrow if the recipe is a keeper. I really have to get a different crock pot I intensely dislike mine. I thought it was cool for it to automatically switch to warm I think it gets to warm and overcooks. Maybe mine is just a lemon.

Feet Update: Doctor has referred me to a pain specialist. He doesn't see the need to perform surgery on me again. According to him there is nothing to be fixed, as in like the surgery I had in June.
He thinks this might be pain I have to live with all my life!!!
Not if I can help it!!!
He did think that MAYBE there was some nerve damage done during my previous surgery. Which is why my toes aren't working properly.
He did say I could also seek another opinion. He was my "other opinion"!!!! Not what do I do!!!!
At this point I am willing to see anyone, no matter the cost, for helping me with my foot pain. It is dreadful to deal with.



Gotta run and mash some potatos to go with my roast.

Lauren USED to like her in her Parent Trap/Freaky Friday days. But now......even with the little info Lauren hears about her, she knows that she is a loser. When she died her hair black Lauren was actually mad. Since Lauren has auburn hair she thought it was great that Lindsey did too.

It is too cold here. We need a frosty smiley. And where is the sun?!!!
Have to go to a wake this evening. My nephew's daughter passed away this week. She was 5 months old. She was born with several congenital anomalies, so we knew she wouldn't live to her 1st birthday, but it is still hard. I feel so bad for him and his wife. They have a 4 year old DS who is fine. But still. So hard.
Have been transferring our WDW trips onto DVD from the mini DVDs and from our past vacations on VHS-C . Fun to watch when the kids were smaller. It's funny how they go from autograph seekers to big ride stalkers.
I really would like to go on an adult only trip now so I could enjoy the parks and restaurants, shows and parades more than just the rides. Oh, well. One of these days.
Hey, Lindsay Lohan has gone into rehab. Say it isn't so. I had no clue she had a problem!!!! (Just kidding)

Hi, everyone! Just got back from my dinner break (I'm working tonight) and even though I've been cold all day, I went ahead and had ice cream. Now I'm freezing!

Becky - sorry, but I had to glaze over your question - it's exactly the kind of math stuff I avoid!!! DH is going to Brazil next week and you should have seen how long it took me to calculate the time difference between here and there (with the flight times) even though it was just 4 hours ahead. It was still way to confusing for me to figure out

Did you guys read this in your Magic Moutains newsletter yet??....

Over at the Magic Kingdom, The Dream Along with Mickey show at the Castle stage may be getting the moving eyes/mouths character heads. Tests of the heads are supposed to take place this week, to get them ready for the press event that takes place January 24-26. You can see a little of these heads in the video on the DisneyLive website, as they are currently used in the touring Mickey's Magic Show.

TiggerRn I am so sorry for your family's loss. I know the pain of losing someone so small and so precious. We lost two little ones in the last couple years. The first was DH's nephew & wife's premature baby girl, Kayla. She was just too small to make it. The second was my cousin's baby who choked to death on a hotdog. His name was Evan. It will be a year in March... Very sad and hard to fathom. Little

Debbie, I had heard a while back that the moving mouths/eyes were coming to a Disney in-park show. The one thing I wonder is if kids will see Mickey talking and then when he doesn't "talk" to them, will they be miffed?? It was a really cool thing about the Magic Show though.

Bunchkin: Sheesh, sorry about this foot thing. There's got to be something they can do. I'd keep trying for sure. You're way too young to live with that type of pain for the next 50 years! ugggh!

Tonight is my Brownie troop meeting, and I just found out that appox. half the troop will not be there. We only meet once a month so it is slightly frustrating to me when they all can't make it.


I have a lot to do around the house today. And a few errands to run for our business. And Hunter has school today too.
So it should be a busy day.

DDs illness was very weird. She got sick at school, again at home, got the runs briefly and now is fine! Believe me I am NOT complaining. I just wonder what got to her. I thought it was so cute. She woke up this morning and said “I don’t have the spit-ups anymore”!

Thanks for the well wishes for her!

The HSM concert is tonight. Can't wait! Maybe I’ll see you Becky!!!!

Made these M&M bars today that one of my SIL's that had hte dry ingredients in one of those glass jars she gave us as a Christmas gift. Been busy with other things,also. laundry, etc.

Always very hard to deal with infant/ children deaths.

Boy, oh boy, I've been so busy all day cleaning house. After all this work, I still didn't get everything done Oh well, it will just have to wait for another day.

Bunchkin - How frustrating that a bunch of your Brownie troop won't be there tonight. I would be very annoyed too!!!
**I don't know if you remember, but the pain specialist wanted me to go for this huge shot in my neck/spine, and I was really nervous about it. He ended up cancelling it at the last minute, and I never rescheduled (I'm a wimp - I'm so paranoid about it paralyzing me ). He did give me some strong meds though that I use only when I need them I don't know what they would do for feet, but it's worth a try.

Debbie - I am so so glad that you DD is feeling better, and that you didn't have to cancel your evening Have a great time - I can hardly wait to hear all about it!!!!

Becky - I hope you have a great time too tonight!!!!

Rose - M&M Bars sound yummy!!!! Your kids are going to love coming home to those after school today!!!!
