Coming home from vacations stink!! Yeah, stink!!

I hate laundry!! I have been doing it all day. And vacuuming, and mopping the floors, and grocery shopping. Not to mention taking Hunter to preschool earlier and then I went to physical therapy.

I still have to vacuum upstairs. And dust. Maybe tomorrow......

I swear that my sister must have spilled stuff on all the floors downstairs too.
The kids said my nephew spilled Coke on the rug three times!!
You can still kind of see the stains, so DH says he'll clean it. We'll see if he does.

And I think my sister riffled through my desk.
I am soooo NOT HAPPY about that. :sad2:

slo Ok, you are a liar!!! You lied about Katie's age to save loot! Big 'ol lie in the Disney no-no book!! :rotfl:

hersey Lying about a birthday is not a big deal if it gets you a cupcake! YUM!!

macraven I think so many people have been sick because of the mild temps. I hope everyone is well soon.

Rosemarie I have not been to Hershey Park but have wanted to go. Look up their web site and send away for their brochures.

geffric Sorry to hear that your job is not going as well as you hoped. I hope better times are ahead for you.

Mindy Glad to see you're back!! You're trip sounds great! Do you have any pictures to share?

Well, I better go get dinner started, as SamIAm and Megan are stopping by tonight to get the Donald Duck hat Sam wanted! What a crazy hat!! I can't wait to see her in it!!! :rotfl: And she claims she is going to wear it on the train too!!! :lmao:

Nicole...I feel your pain sister!:headache:
Hang in there!:laundy:

-and Kim went to that high school! Were you a pink lady?
MINDY!!! How OLD do you think I AM?!?! :scared1: :rotfl:

KIM...sounds like you had an awesome time at the Dancing with the Stars show!!! I had read that Jerry Springer was going to be the special guest...was he there, and how did he do?? I was so amazed at how he danced on the show. When I first heard he was doing it, I was not even planning to watch Dancing with the Stars, but he really added to the show!
Donna, I didn't know beforehand that Jerry would be there but, a lady behind us mentioned it might happen when Harry Hamlin came out and said he couldn't dance. Anyway, Jerry was his typical, silly-self, like on the show. :rotfl: Very entertaining. He said that there should be a seniors tour for guys like him. :rotfl2: He danced one of his silly dances (weren't they ALL?? - besides his heartfelt waltz) but, it really added a Chicago touch, imo. :thumbsup2 One of his comments was that "these kids are 35 years younger than me and they don't get dizzy walking". :rotfl2:

KIM...that preschool arrival time is VERY laid back! When I am worried about being two minutes late, we walk in and no one is even there yet..... maybe one boy is there.....
I've noticed that. Things sure have changed. :rolleyes1 Maybe I'll see you Thurs AM. ;)

Oh, yeah! I forgot to mention how much I love Superdawg
We should do a meet there! (when the weather gets better)
 < that smilie reminds me of the DOGS perched atop Superdawg! I passed there tonight and I soooooo wanted a Superdawg!!! MEET locale approved by Moi! :cool1: :thumbsup2 :woohoo: Name the date!!! :cheer2:

If my electricity goes out one more time, I'm going to scream!!!!:scared1:
It must be the wind, but my electricity has gone off and on 5 times since 8pm last night. I'm really getting bored of fixing all my clocks.

HERSEY - I know, I'm not as wholesome and pure as you all thought:lmao:

Rose - No confessing to The Godfather - you guys would never see me again:eek:

Jedi - I said Kate was a year younger than what she was too ::yes::

Bunchkin - I've been doing a lot of laundry too :laundy:
**I can't believe your sister left your house in such bad condition - that would make me really mad too:mad:

Sam - Do you like your hat?

Debbie - :wave2:

Kim - I'm glad you had a great time at Dancing with The Stars:goodvibes

Well, I'm off to get ready for work
Have a good day today!!!!

Good morning Chicagoland! Hope all is well on this chilly Thursday morning. Just one more day for me until 3 day weekend! I can't wait. I may not be doing anything but at least I can relax and dream about vacations I can't afford...oh well life goes on

Kim I didn't mean to imply you were old! Pink ladies are timless! I want to be one!!:yay:

Bunchkin sorry you had to come back to such a mess. I hate that. WHen we went on our trip DBF's brother came to housesit and he drowned our plant and the place was a mess. I don't expect him to clean up after us but after himself would be nice!

Slo and Jedi you liars! Just trying to get a little ahead and breaking A Disney commandment (thou shalt not lie about thy children's ages!) but you know..I would probably do that too if I could...shh don't tell:blush:

Mac sorry to hear you are sick  hope you feel better soon!!

and pics are coming soon I promise!

Good morning everyone!

DH never finished taking down the Christmas lights that are on the very top peaks of our house. While we are gone the wind blew down some of the line and last nights wind made them keep whacking against the windows in the kids playroom. It totally freaked me out!! I thought someone was in the house!!! :scared1: If he doesn't take them down tonight I'm going to......oh I don't know what I'll do to him!! :rotfl:

Hersey Sorry, no picutres of Sam in her new hat. My camera was upstairs and I didn't think of taking a picture of her. RATS!!!! ;)

slo I can't believe I came home to such a mess too. :sad2:
Just like I can't belive how many times she made the kids chicken nuggets for lunch or dinner!!!! I left lots of food here and a ton of money too so that she could buy anything that she needed.

Kim Dancing with the Stars must have been so much fun!! :)

Mindy Men NEVER clean up after themselves!!!! Let alone anyone else!! :rotfl:

Morning..:surfweb: a 3 day weekend coming up for me too.. YEAH.. not doing anything.. well actually I need to start working on a resume .so that and scrapbooking are my goals.

DH are I are celebrating our 17th anniversary on Sunday.. WOW!!!! That is amazing.. that I have been married tht long.. of course since I have a child that is turning 16 in April I guess that is right... We are going to Kampaii for dinner Sunday to celebrate.. taking the boys with us Geoff will really enjoy it Eric hopefully will find something to eat there and suffer through quietly.. ... YUMMY!

Mindy and Kim - What is a Pink Lady??

Bunchy I agree.. lying about a birthday to get a free cupcake is ok in my book.. Done that a few times since I consider the entire month of August Eric and my b'day...

well back to work.. I'll stop by later..

everybody works full time around here but guess who sits on his bum all weekend while the only female in the group cleans, cooks and does laundry..

I just got done eating my cereal, and I'll be off to work soon (as soon as Ms. Katie is done eating her spagettios for breakfast (yes you heard me right - that's what she wanted) )

Mindy - That's a shame that you came home to a mess too:guilty:

Bunchkin - Those lights hitting the window would have freaked me out too:eek: I hope the wind stops so Tony can get the lights down and you don't have another sleepless night.

geffric - Happy Anniversary to you and your DH :grouphug: I hope you have a wonderful anniversary dinner on Sunday :goodvibes

Well, she's done, so I guess I should go
Have a swell day everyone!!!

This would not sit well with me if this was my situation. If both wife and husband work full time, both should equally help out around the house.

As soon as I figure out what I'm going to hit my DH over the head with for not taking down the Christmas lights, I will come over to hit your DH too!!! :lmao: :rotfl: ;)

one pic to whet your whistle and then its off to work for me!

this is Taipei 101, the tallest building in the world!! And yes I went up-the view is amazing! more to come

Hey everyone! Well I wore my hat on the train this morning. If nothing else, I figured I'd get the seat to myself, but a young gentleman took the bait and sat next to me. HA! He sort of looked at me and I just said, "go with it". He cracked up. The trainman cracked up when he saw me, so that was worth it right there!! In ummm 6 years on this train, I've never seen that man smile. He did a double take this morning!! Now, I'm going to wear it up the hall to show the other Disney nut in my office. She'll love it! I didn't wear it through the streets on my way to work though because it is uber windy down here and although it fits well, I didn't want it to blow off and be GONE!!

So, there you have it!!

I can't wait to wear it in Disney where I might actually get less attention while wearing it! It's cool you can wear ears of all types in Disney World, but try wearing them in reality and people think you're a bit weird?? Why is that?

I took Megan to Toys R Us last night because she had a gift card burning a hole in her pocket. Then, I hit the mall really quick (amazingly empty mall) to pre-order Peter Pan from the Disney Store. The lithographs are awesome! I can't wait to frame them and get them up on the walls in Megan's room. If the weather holds up, I might go to Michaels on Saturday and pick out some frames.

I realized something last night, I LOVE THE DISNEY STORE. For a few brief and shining moments you can actual sort of pretend that when you walk back out of the store, you'll be in Downtown Disney, Toontown, or even Pop Century (Pop does have an awesome shopping venue)!! It's always a little disappointing to walk out and find you're still in Orland Square. Oh well...

Well, it's time to go freak out my friend! Today, is National SamIAm Loves Donald Day!!

:donald:

I'm gald you got a few smiles and laughs with your new hat!! :rotfl:

Hunter has his new Mickey ears on that we got for him!

It must be "Wear your Disney hat Day"!! :goodvibes :cool1:

On one trip we were at WDW for my birthday and I was made to walk around wearing that huge Mickey birthday cake hat that lights up. That was a heavy hat to wear all day.
We still all wear it on our birthdays here!! :)

Post # 3333 for me! I thought I'd celebrate an odd number post!!!

My favorite Jungle Cruise Skipper line: As you exit the boat please watch your step and watch your head. And if you can't watch either of those, please watch your language.
:rotfl:

Hello Everyone!
Glad to see a lot of you are feeling silly:crazy:today! We all should lighten up a bit, right? It’s good for the heart!!!

Gerrrific…KAMPAI is our favorite!!!!!! We love it there!!!!! Enjoy and happy Anniversary!

Bunchkin..Congrats on post #3333!!!

SamIAM & Bunchkin…LOVE the jungle boat quotes! Crack me up!

Speaking up “cracking up” .....this thread entertained me last night. I don’t know why but I find the whole Tigger Trouble very funny (not for the CM of course)

YES to Superdawg MEET!!!! I am 3 blocks away! It would be nice to have a MEETin our neck of the woods. I hope everyone would take the road trip!

I went to the GP about my arm today. I felt it was time to go when the tingling set in! They think I have shoulder impingement or something like that. She gave me exercises to do and a prescription for Naprosin. Will that make me drowsy because I feel drowsy!

Have great day everyone!
Debbie

SamIAm - I can't believe you wore that hat on the train! :rotfl2:

As far as DH's doing chores - one nice thing about not having a DH around is that you don't have to yell at anyone to do stuff. So, if the dishes haven't been done, then it's my own fault and they can sit there till I'm ready to do it! And I'm just fine with that. :rotfl:

Lucky for all of you who have a 3 day weekend. Most suburban libraries are open on Monday. :guilty: But maybe this storm that's supposedly coming on Sunday/Monday will be a big one and we'll get another snow day!!!

Hey, one can only hope, right? :confused3 ;)

Jedi: I sometimes dream of those long-ago days when I could pretty much do what I wanted when I wanted and when I got back home at night, my apartment was exactly as I left it. Things were hardly ever lost and cleaning consisted of dishes, my own laundry and light vacuuming once a week...

THE GOOD OLD DAYS!!!
