Donna:bday: :cake: Happy birthday to your son I know you were up late baking him a special cake.:thumbsup2
Please don't make me sound so saintly I am so far of that mark.:rotfl2:

Sk8Leigh Have a safe trip

Good morning all!

Today we are celebrating Christmas with my mom. She was out of town visiting family over the holiday.

slo Hunter's PT went well. He was in slight pain at first, but then he was feeling fine and had better movement in his elbow joint. One more session for him should do it. Little ones heal so much quicker. :)
They're still trying to figure out what's going on with my feet. I have 3 toes on my left foot that are numb, and I can't get them to move independently. Very frustrating!!!

Tiggerrn Sorry to hear you're sick. There is a lot of that going on here.
I went to the doctor on Wed and found out I have an ear infection, like I suspected. And Lauren is dealing with her asthma/bronchitis. So she's on a ton of meds. I hope everyone at your house is feeling better soon.

Donna Happy 25th to your son!!!
Hope all of you have a wonderful New Year too!!
And I don't think hardly anyone on this thread is close to 25!!!! :rotfl:
Except for 2sweet! :thumbsup2

Hersey Don't forget to bring that new shredder here!!! :rotfl:

Leigh Your house will be done before you know it!! ;)

BECKY...did your Mary & Joseph ever make-up?? I laughed so hard when I read about that!!! Happy new year!!!

Yes they did, although they are going to be put in storage again soon, so hopefully they won't be fighting next year. Maybe that was the problem, too close quarters for almost a year. They needed some fresh air. :lmao:

Ok, and I think it was geffric who was asking about the multi-quote thing. What you need to do is, look for the Multi-Quote this Message button down in the lower right-hand corner of a post. Click on it for whatever messages you want, and then click on quote in one of the posts. It will then quote all the messages that you chose, like it did for me here. And I tested what would happen if you went back to different pages, and it did work. :thumbsup2 It's awesome!

I know it wasn't me but I didn't get it, so reading your directions and puzzling & puzzling for a while, I GOT IT!  I kept hitting the mutli-quote button and then quote in the same message instead of basically turning "multi-quote" on in the messages I want and THEN clicking quote. This will be a very, very, very handy feature!!! Especially for this thread.  This was a test of how it worked for me.

Becky- glad your dd is doing better in the brace :thumbsup2
I wouldn't rely on the school nurse to email the teachers about your dd back brace. I know at our school, sometimes communication isn't always that great, so you should probably email the teachers yourself. Just a wise thought, as I am always emailing my kids' teachers, etc throughout the years, as I know no one gets the communication out except from me most of the time. :)

Our team has a "team communicator" and in theory that person is the person you contact for any concerns that need to go to the whole team. I'm going to e-mail her asking if I should also e-mail each teacher? I'm not sure which is the best way. I don't have ALL the teacher's e-mails though, so I know between all of this it should catch anyone. I know I have to e-mail the gym teacher seperately as those are not part of the specific team. I just need to find out who I contact to possibly get a 504 plan in place so they would provide a slant board for her if needed in the classrooms and possibly a chair/table combo or basically "preferential seating". I don't know if we really need one or not though. I just know Wed. will be interesting as we are not sure she will be able to sit at her desks. Science I know will be fine as that is table/chair combos but I'm thinking most of the rest of her classes are chairs that are welded to the desks, so they don't move. She may not be able to get into those. :scared1: Poor thing. I really wish I could shadow her on Wednesday to make sure any problems are addressed but I can't do that, so a lot of it is going to fall on her shoulders to make sure she informs the teachers of any problems as we don't even know what the problems might be yet until she is actually at school and finds she can't do something or gets stuck somehow with the brace. Already happened here at home.

didn't the captain in the first one die when Captain Jack shot him? How did he come back at the end of the 2nd one? Did I miss something? I must have.

The Captain from the first one comes back again? Wow!! I thought he was dead also. I haven't seen the second one yet, so I can't offer any suggestions.

a very happy birthday to mr brian son of donna.

hooray.......

ps, i have a brian also

:surfweb: Hi Everyone!
Happy Saturday! It is Saturday right?
I cannot believe it will be 2007!!! Time really flies by.
The kids are still sick with cold  but I am grateful that there are no fevers at this point. I just feel with all of that running around and all the company and visiting, it’s just bound to happen. I still haven’t gotten it yet and I am hoping all those years of teaching kindergarten before I became a Mom built up my immunity.:teacher:

I actually went for a manicure this morning!!! I haven’t done that in a very long time. I then realized I have all these gift cards that I haven’t been using. She added them up and I am definitely going to try and get there more! It was a nice treat!

OK Let me take a crack at this.......

Tiggern2 I am glad your extended family is on the mend but am sorry you are feeling under the weather.
RMOM:wave:
Slo You are awesome. Here’s to another great thread in 2007. Hope you had fun in the city that I love:love: !
Kim..See you at school 2007!:teacher: Hope all is well with you and your family.
SamIAm Thanks again for the food tips. Sorry your DD has had to go to daycare over her break. Wish we lived closer so we could actually have the girls meet.
Nightowl..good to hear from you.
JediLibrarian..I really hope things work out for the best for you.
Hersey…I need your help! I am on the verge of being a hoarder! I WILL give things away in 2007! I must!:scared1:
Geffric..I hope your deals went through.
Becky2005 I’m glad your DD seems to be adjusting. See ya in a couple weeks at Allstate!:cheer2:
Bunchkin…2007 will be your year for good health. I can feel it! I do think you and my DH are soul spouses. He feels your pain!
DisneyMama:wave2:
Macraven…HOMIE..I hope 2007 brings peace :hippie: within your family. I hope you can have some stress free worry free days! It’s nice having you checking our green lights but you are naughty and should go to bed earlier like my DD needs too!
2SweetAngels..princess: princess: Your girls are super cute. Good luck packing. Your poor Mom though. I would be so sad if I was her.
RosePrincess…pixiedust: Hope 2007 brings you a WDW trip one way or another.:smickey:
Crissup:wave:
Sk8Leigh..Hope your home keeps coming together nicely. Hope your still having fun at the VMK too. Still haven’t gone there.

Hi all-
We went to visit Don's father today. Road trip day :drive:, as he lives in a retirement community 2 hrs west of us. Don's dad enjoyed our visit.

Slo- hope all went well walking downtown Chicago. Hope you all didn't get caught in the rain, if it rained there today :umbrella:

Tiggerrn- Sorry to hear you and the kids are sick . Hope all of you feel better soon.

Donna- Happy birthday to Brian! :bday: :cake:

Sk8leigh-have a fun weekend in Indy!

Bunchkin- Sorry to hear your feet are still not healed :guilty: Hope the docs can figure out what's going on with your feet and toes.
Glad to hear Hunter is doing well in PT with the cast off and all :thumbsup2

Becky- That's great you have a team communicator at dd's school. Hope you can get a 504 plan for your dd. Maybe try to talk to dd's homeroom teacher first, to see if she can get a 504 plan started? Not sure how to go about that, either, as my kids had IEPs since age 3, so I didn't have much of an issue adding stuff onto their IEP plans throughout the yrs. Poor dd, maybe getting stuck in those kind of desks

Debbie- hoping the kids get better from their colds :wizard:
thanks for the WDW encouragment wishes :)

Hi Hersey, Mac, Crissup, and everyone else :wave2:

I want to wish you all...................

HAPPY
NEW
YEAR!!!!

10.gif

We had such a wonderful day in the city yesterday. :goodvibes

Stephanie really wanted to go to the American Girl doll store to spend the money that's burning a hole in her wallet;) She got an American Girl doll from Santa this year, and she wants to make sure it's the best dress doll around;) Let me tell you, that store is incredible!!!!! She really loved the store and walked out of there with one outfit she bought herself, and 2 outfits that her softy daddy bought for her (I was pretty determined to not buy her anything since the doll and everything I got for the doll from Santa was over $200:eek: ) Then we walked and walked and walked and walked - it was a great day for it, a little cloudy, but the temps were just right:thumbsup2 . We went out to eat at Maggianos (an Italian restaurant), and we ate to much as normal and brought enough home for another meal:goodvibes Then as we were walking back to our car, there was a street vendor selling purses, so Kevin bought me 3 :) I always shop for my fake name-brand purses on the streets of Chicago;) I got a Coach, and 2 Burberry purses for $55.00 - that's awesome!!!!!:thumbsup2 Then we headed home - what a great day!!!!

Oh......we walked to Macy on State Street and I give the windows there a HUGE thumbs down:guilty: I actually always do - they are never very Christmas like - whatever happened to snowmen, Santa, carolers, and etc (don't get me started). I thought Mary Poppins was creepy looking, and only one window had a little Christmas in it. To anyone else, that liked these windows, no offense to you with this at all - I just didn't like it:sad2:

Donna - Thanks for the thanks - but I need to thank all of you. Without all of you checking in everyday or often, this thread would be nothing. You are all the true reason this thead still exists, and I love you all for it!!!:grouphug:

macraven - :wave2:

Leigh - Your house sounds like it's really coming along - how exciting!!!!

HERSEY - How did your basement cleaning go yesterday? Did you throw alot away?

Bunchkin - I'm glad Hunters PT went well the other day. I'm so sorry to hear about your feet though - sending lots of PD your way that 2007 brings an end to this problem:wizard:
**How did Christmas go with your mom yesterday?

Becky - I'm sending lots of PD your DD's way for her to have an easy time with her backbrace when she returns to school on Wednesday:wizard: How long does she have to wear that, I can't remember.

Crissup - You should watch PoTC2 - I thought it was good:thumbsup2

FINFAN - Hi there, and good to see you :wave2: Come by and visit more in 2007.

Debbie - Manicures are nice aren't they ::yes:: I cleaned out my purse on the way to the city, and I had all the receipts from my pedicures this past summer - I love those too!!!!
**How are your kids feeling today?
**Thanks for the compliment:goodvibes But like I said to Donna - w/o all of you, this thread would be nothing :grouphug:

Rose - I"m glad your FIL enjoyed your visit:goodvibes That makes the drive worth the while.
**No rain in the city - we were nervous and carried an umbrella, but luckily, no rain.

Well, I gotta run and get ready for church.
Take care, God Bless, and Happy New Year to you all :grouphug:

Good Morning all!! :wave2:

Happy New Years Eve to everyone!!!

I hope everyone is doing something fun today/tonight!!

We are going to a New Years Eve family cosmic bowling tonight. It's geared for families. They put on the disco lights & loud music, you get pizza, pop, New Years hats and stuff. And they also have a count down so the kids can celebrate!
It should be fun!!! We are going with SamIAm and family. :cool1:
I'll be helping Hunter bowl as his arm is still kinda stiff and he's not the best bowler around! ;)

slo Sounds like you had a good time downtown! :)
We didn't like Macy's windows either. I like the old windows from when I was a kid.
Stephanie must have been so happy to go to AG Place!!! What outfits did she get there??
Lauren has been playing with all her new AG stuff we bought her for Christmas. But I've got you beat on cost.......I spent over $400!!!!! :scared1:
And yes, I told Tony!!! :lmao:
Christmas with my mom went well. Once you get past all of her criticizing! She's one of those types that always has something to complain about.

Debbie Sorry to hear your kids are sick too! It's that time of year. :(
I hope they don't give you their germs!! ;)
The one thing your DH has in regards to his pain...is pain meds. My doctor hasn't given me any. And I'm not sure I would want to be on them anyway. Lots of meds make my heart race and that's not a good thing for someone with heart issues.
I'm ready to lop my feet off and get bionic ones!!!! :thumbsup2 :rotfl:

2sweet You're girls are getting so big!!
Good luck with the packing!! :thumbsup2

HI to everyone else!!

Lots to do today so I better get going! :car:

Happy New Years Eve and New Years Day to all! party:

Anyone going out tonight, please be safe.

Good Morning..
Just a quick fly by hello..

My DH has heart problems too! So he doesn't take anything either even though they keep giving him stuff. He has AFIB. Plus, how would he be able to work on a Darvocet???

Debbie

I vac'd the dryer vent YUK! Why did I take a shower and wash my hair before I did that! Maybe now my dryer will be happy:goodvibes

Bunchkin Sam Have fun bowling tonight.

Oh does everyone know tomorrow Carbon Monoxide moniter become law. I finally opened my water bill that came this week and there was a reminder. I was unaware of this so I guess I'll be visiting the friendly guys at Ace today. I don't want Alex to turn me in :thumbsup2

Lunch break is over I need to get back to conquer that basement.

Have a safe New Years everyone :dance3:

OMG......Katie will not fall asleep!!!!:sad2:

She has been laying in her bed for 1 1/2 hours now, and she's still awake  . Do you know what that means? That means she's going to be a nightmare tonight!!!!!!:scared1: When she gets overtired, she is crabby, crabby, crabby, crabby!!!!!!:headache: I'm hoping that she will still fall asleep - I"m keeping my fingers crossed!!!!

Bunchkin - Your night tonight sounds like so much fun!!!!! Stephanie loves loves loves to go bowling!!! Hey......that may be a fun DIS Meet for sometime:idea:
**The outfits that Steph got was ice skating outfit, the Nellie coat, and a hot pink holiday outfit (you would know it as soon as you saw it). The next DIS Meet our girls can bring their dolls and play together:thumbsup2

Have a good night everyone, and once again....Happy New Year!!!!:grouphug:

Oh Slo..I feel your pain but my DD hasn't taken a nap for me in ions! I think she was 2 the last time she took a real structured nap. Very sad I know. Now she just thinks she can be up all night! After tonight she's in for a big shocker! Things have to change around here. The other night she looked at books for 2 hours before she finally went to sleep!

Slo I hope Miss Katie falls asleep soon for you.

Alex and I are doing our traditional take out Chinese. Our basement finally looks like civilized people live here. I hope I will be able to stay up, right now I feel like a nap.

Debbie6221:hug: I hope your plan works.
