We were so busy yesterday at the store - I couldn't believe it. Now I feel bad for only working one day this week. But I do have to go in several times off and on, over the next week, to do deposits and orders - the owner is out of town.

I'm not sure what we are doing today. I should clean house, but I'm going to do that closer to New Years, since we have company over. I have no laundy - I did that on Wednesday. I'm just not sure

Bunchkin - Thanks for the Happy Birthday to Kevin - he turned 36 I told him that I'm glad that he's 10 months older than me so I can adjust to the next number before I turn the next number - especially when he turns 40
**Good luck at PT today with Hunter - I hope it all goes well. How long does he have to go? Or do you not know, because it's up to the therapists?
**I forgot that you are still going to PT for your feet. How are they feeling?

**To answer your QOTD, we are having our family and a couple of friends over to our house for New Years. We not only have a New Years party, but it's also a birthday party for Kevin.

Sam - My dad said and still says the same thing, and I couldn't agree with it more. Now that the kids are getting older, I feel like I blink and 3 months went by

Happy FRIDAY!!

Let's see if I can catch up a little here. Debbie, do what I do, hide the veggies inside of stuff. Do they like meatloaf? Well, smush up some zucchini (did I spell that right??) into the meat. It makes the meatloaf taste good, it stays moist and the veggies are cleverly disguised. Have you ever tried smushing up some cauliflower into the mashed potatoes? You can barely taste it in there. For some reason little pieces of broccoli, chopped good and small tastes pretty darn good in mac n cheese. I tell Megan its spice. HA!

Megan's always been a good sleeper, so I don't have to worry about that so much. I think it's because she doesn't have siblings living with her to set the "I don't want to go to bed" example. She does have trouble falling asleep from time to time, but I just give her a book to look at and turn a small reading light on. She's always gone about 15 minutes after that.

My thing with her is to remember to give her a Fred Flinstone vitamin everyday. That really helps, especially in the winter!

I would really like to do DVC myself someday. Maybe in a few years when we don't have child support payments anymore. Although for what it costs for DVC, I could probably go to Disney like 7 times. So, I'd have to look into the benefits vs. negatives. I wish I would have gotten in on it ten years ago. I would really love to have a Boardwalk Villa "home". That would be my dream location.

Anyway, we're looking forward to a nice long weekend, and I just heard the office may close on Tuesday as a National Day of Mourning for Gerald Ford. They did it for Nixon and Reagan, so I sort of figured we could get that day off. I could very easily work from home anyway! It would give me more time to spend with Megan and that's always a good thing. I'm sort a feeling guilty that she's had to spend her vacation at a daycare center.

So, another day off, to sleep in and get the house back to normal would be a good thing!!

Jedi: I was happy to hear that you were able to have a nice Christmas too! Hopefully, the spirit of the season will help light the way to a reconciliation.

Well I'm going to try and get back here before the new year to ring it in properly with y'all! Have a great weekend everyone!

Hey all...here is a question for you, if I never log off, is my green light always on? Or only when I visit the website? Always wondered about that.

DD is doing OK today, she is still none too thrilled about the back brace and keeps trying avoidance tactics but too bad.

I'm just about done with her Patriot's day dress that I was making for Jan. 19 at school. I just basically need to do the hem on it and then some adjustments with lace to cover up some of my mistakes and we need to do some slight adjusting for the brace since her t-shirt shows up at the top now (she has a special t-shirt to wear under the brace and basically it almost goes up to her neck.

Today is probably our last day to be a bum!!! Tomorrow we are having our big family Christmas get-together in Joliet and then it's time to get the kids back into the routine of getting up for school again, etc... since we go back Jan. 3.

Hi Everyone...
The kids are sick and I think I am getting it. My head feels a little foggy (I know...what's new) so I think something is brewing! Oh well. At least Christmas is over and better now than before.

The problem with my DDs eating habits is she is starting to really get finicky. Her Dad is that way and I do not want her turning into one of those kind! So to hide food would be great but I just see her picking through it to find the little pieces plus I want her to want the veggies!! I want her to just eat! That’s how I was. A picky eating kid is like my worst nightmare! Those kids drove me nuts before I had kids of my own! She will eat an Avocado but she won’t eat baked beans, she will eat an apple but she won’t eat apple pie, she eats raw carrots but not an orange. OMG it drives me to insanity! Ther's no method to her madness!
SamIAM…I will be trying some of your ideas though. I must start cooking more for ALL of my family.

As for the sleeping… She just doesn’t want to. She stopped napping ions ago but now I just need her to go to bed earlier. Actually asleep at 9PM would be beautiful! I start settling her down at 8:30 and sometimes she isn’t asleep until after 10. She just can’t wind down. So she’s always in bed it’s just a matter of what time she is actually falling asleep. Other nights it’s fine and she goes to sleep. If she falls asleep in the car it’s a nightmare that night!!!! So I have to be like a three ring circus of entertainment in the car if it’s a long drive and she looks sleepy! She only goes to school two days a week so I think if she did the same thing every morning things would be different. I’ll just keep working on that!

BTW …..LOVE all the Disney games. DD really can’t handle the Magic Kingdom game yet. BUT we love WDW Candyland! My Mom has WDW Clue. We want DISNEY Sorry!

I feel sorry for your DD. That has to be rough! Especially at her age.

I bought my DD that HSM REMIX DVD and now I am debating about taking it back. I thought it was a NEW movie but it seems to be the old one with just more stuff added in. WDYT?
