Hi all, happy Friday evening-
I haven't really been on the boards the past couple of days, but have been reading up on everyone here. :surfweb: My SIL and I have been emailing each other quite a bit. Unfortunately, not real good emails :guilty: She kinda personally attacked me on some of her emails, and I needed to respond back to them. she said I have been too defensive on my answers. Gee, maybe I needed to be defensive because she wanted this and that answer to some really strange questions and personal attacks   . I have a feeling that she has some deep-rooted issues that she seems to be blaming me for.Anyways, I'm done with her emails for now. DH says don't bother emailing her back, as he doesn't know what his SIL's problem is, either. :confused3
I sure could use a vacation right about now

Anyways, I need to start working on these school projects with hte kids, that are due on Monday that we really haven't started yet.

Jedi- glad Toby is doing better :wizard: . keep us posted on any test results when you get them. Have fun at the Radio City Christmas show tonight! :dance3: :dancer:

Macraven- Hope your ds will come home soon :wizard: . Glad you were able to get a hold of him by phone the other day even tho the connection was bad.

Geffric- Hope things get better with your work situation :wizard: At DH's company, they are looking for mortgage processors, mortgage loan officers- tho I don't think that's up your alley, unless you want to try something totally different ;)

Hi Slo, 2sweetangels,disneymama, SamIAm,Debbie,aces_babydoll, NitOwl,WindyCityHeather,Sk8Leigh,Disneynut,Crissup, and KimRaye :wave2:
Anyone I missed and any lurkers :wave2:

I just realized people are being frosted now :guilty:

Well we went to see my mom at work and she was taking her break in the breakroom and my girl's went in and ate up her lunch for her. I don't know if its a full moon out tonight or what, but my girl's are acting so bad today worse then they usually are. Early bedtime for them :goodvibes

I feel bad, I missed saying hi to Hersey :wave2:
and Bunchkin, whenever she will be on :wave2:

Hi Amy :wave2: Hopefully you will be Frosted soon!

Hey, all! Happy Friday! Happy weekend! So...who is braving it tomorrow and heading to the big, windy city for the Lights Fest?? WE ARE!!!
I know it'll probably be cold, and crowded, but we just like being a part of all that hoopla!!! Hope some of you all have decided to go, as well... :cool1:

Hi Donna :wave2:
Unfortunately, I won't be there, but I'm guessing others will.
Have a good time!

Forgot to say hi to Becky, too :wave2:

i have to drive to union station before noon tomorrow to pickup college son that is coming in from macomb.

i'm hoping streets aren't blocked off and traffic is ok.

he will be home with us for 8 days.

Having a bad day after a very bad evening last night.
Had to put our other dog to sleep last night. Her stomach started to bloat so we rushed her to emergency vet. There was nothing they could do. They did an ultrasound and it showed she had masses that were blocking her intestines and other ones around her stomach and spleen. She was miserable yesterday. We are all heartbroken. DD is the worst. She absolutely cherished that dog. Today we took the food and biscuits and treats we had to the Humane Society for them to use. Kids looked at all the animals. Thankfully, none of the ones there today looked like our dog, so we didn't have to argue about a new pet already. I'd like to wait until spring. Training a puppy in the winter is not something I would enjoy.
Carmen, glad to hear you made it home safe and sound. I hope all Toby's tests come back OK. Although, it would make it a mystery for what happened. Hope you enjoy the show tonight.
Mac, hope your son gets home soon.
Leigh have fun with your decorating plans. I would so love to start with a new place and get to pick out all the tile, carpet and countertops. You should have a great time. And by all means, if you want to go for Halloween, dress up and have fun. The CMs love it. They will involve you in all sorts of stuff.
Debbie-thanks for the frosting. I think I'll wait til the day after Thanksgiving to post it. I really don't want to rush things. (Although, I did go to Toys R Us today and got a good start on toy shopping. Had coupons to use and got a $10 off next purchase.)
Everyone  Have a great weekend!!! For those of you going downtown, have a great time. Think I'll watch from the warmth of my home.

Hello Peeps!!! :wave2:

It's been a mad house here!!

My printer finally came on Wed night. It was delayed big time.
DH goes to install the cd for it and the monitor croaks!!!!
Not even a week old and it croaks. :sad2: So I've not been able to be online until tonight. New monitor came this morning, but I was running around all day with errands and getting ready for my Brownie troop meeting that was tonight.

Finally got new tires on my conversion van today......BIG KA-CHING!!! $$$!!!WOW!!! :scared1: But I needed really good tires to get me through the winter. My van does NOT like snow!!! Fish tales and spins all the time. I need sand bags or DEAD BODIES in the back of my van for extra weight!!! :lmao:

Thanks to EVERYONE for the concern for Hunter. :grouphug:
He is doing well. Trying to adjust to the heavy cast being on his arm. And it is on his entire arm. He got alot of attention at preschool over it and he seemed to enjoy that! ;)

Like some of you, I also did some more Christmas shopping yesterday. I was the last one at Target last night, I closed the place!! :rotfl2: They litterally started shutting off the lights!!!! :lmao:
As I was about to drive off I saw a group of crazy people in line for the new PS3. They had the littlest pup-tents set up. All of them looked nerdy!!! NO JOKE!!! :rotfl: :lmao:

slo You got Stephanie some great stuff from American Girl!! She's going to love it all!!
No going downtown for us either. I don't want to take the chance of Hunter getting squashed or knocked over by the crowds.
So I'll say what I say every year about the Festival of Lights..."Maybe next year!".

Sam Single digit dance for you!!! :cheer2:

Heather Good to see you stop by. They also have Mickeys Clubhouse toys at the Disney Store. Hunter spotted them the other day when we were there. :teeth:

2sweet Good luck with the future move. I have relatives that live in NC and they just love it!! :)

Mac I'm still hoping all works out for your son!!

Kim Lauren got so excited when I told her that Dancing with the Stars was touring. I hope you and Kelly have a great time there. Too bad you have to wait so long to see it!!

jedi Men can never be trusted to to totally convey all their concerns with a doctor.
I hope that he is feeling much better!!! ::yes::

Disneynut Congrats on your new job and good luck!!! :thumbsup2

Tiggerrn Sorry to hear about your family dog. :(

HI TO EVERYONE AND ALL!!! :wave2:

It's late and I need sleep!!

Kim---I just heard on the news that they have buyers lined up for the Cubs? :confused3 I didn't know the Tribune was thinking of selling them.
I didn't know either until I heard it on the news myself. I guess there is a group of private/single people interested. :confused3 Funny thing tho, all these trades and deals were made BEFORE the sale news came along.?????? :confused3

I'm just trying to wait until her BD to give her the tics!! Another MONTH after that til the show!!!???!?!!!!??.................I'm WAAY TOOO EXCITED!!!!!!!!! :rotfl: :cool1: :woohoo:

I'm sorry everyone, it's late, I gotta go!!! Love ya all!!! :grouphug: {{HUGS}} and prayers!!!!!!!!!!

Today will be a festive day around the house - Christmas tree #1 is going up in the living room today
16.gif
. I like having this tree up for Thanksgiving, because you can see it from the dining room and it looks so pretty. Plus, it sheds some extra light in the living room, which we need. I have no lights in there because this is a living room that no one is allowed to sit in - yes, I one of those goofy people  I do allow my company to sit in there though, so that's why it's nice to have the extra light.

macraven - Any word from your some yet? Continued hugs and prayers

geffric - I'm sorry to hear about your job changing your territory and products on you :guilty: Sending lots of PD your way to help you with this change, or changing jobs :wizard: Keep us posted on how eveything goes.

Amy - That's good you set a moving date. I always need a date for things to keep me on track. Good luck with packing after the holidayas. :wizard:

Heather - I saw Mickey Mouse Clubhouse in the Sears Christmas catalog. That playset looks really cute!!!!

Aces - :wave2:

Leigh - I think you would make a cute Minnie Mouse and the yellow Crocs are a great idea - you would be a lot more comfortable!!!! :thumbsup2

disneymama - :wave2:

Jedi - How was the show last night? I really want to see it sometime. It's good Toby got some tests done - keep us updated on the results :grouphug:

Debbie - I really should have my girls get a flu shot too. Stephanie has a real phobia about getting shots and I think it's because she was real sickly when she was 3 1/2 and she got lots and lots of shots. Before that, she was fine with shots, but after this sickly time, she's never been the same. Now when she gets a shot, it takes me and 3 nurses to hold her down.
**I sure hope your kids feel better with their colds - sending lots of PD your way :wizard:

Sam - Lets single digit dance with Sam!!!!! :dance3:

Rosemarie - I'm so sorry that you and your SIL are still upset with each other :guilty: Tell her that your done with these negative emails because it's the holiday season and you don't like negativity around the holidays. Don't let her have the satisfaction that she's upsetting you - these type of people like that satisfaction. Sending lots of PD your way :wizard: When you need to talk - you know we are here for you!!!!! :grouphug:

Donna - Have fun downtown today and tonight!!!! :cool1:

Tiggerrnn - I am so so so sorry to hear about your dog passing away :guilty: I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers :grouphug:

Bunchkin - What a bummer about the monitor :furious: I was wondering if everything was okay. I figured if you didn't check in this weekend, I would call you to see if everything was okay. I"m glad Hunter is adjusting to his cast - isn't amazing how quick kids adjust?! When Katie had her cast, I thought she's be miserable, and she was perfectly fine.
**I sure hope Stephanie will like the AG stuff. Does Lauren have a Samantha doll? If so, is her hair easy to take care of? Some dolls hair is so hard to comb and do things with.
**I'm sorry you aren't going downtown either, but I would do the same if I were you. No sense on taking any unneccessary chances.

Kim - :wave2:

Well, I best be going and make some breakfast.
Have a good Saturday everyone!!!

DonnaW -- Have a good time downtown.

Bunchkin -- I'm glad you are finally organized. :lmao: New printer, new monitor, new tires...doing good.

Tiggern2 -- I'm so sorry about your dog. :grouphug: I know how hard it is.

Roseprincess -- :rotfl2: Don't worry about forgetting me. I can't keep track of everyone here, so I do a general hello usually so no one feels left out since I can barely remember what I'm doing one minute to the next. Sorry about all the SIL drama. I hope you finish the projects in time.

Hello to everyone else :wave2:

Today is the Cub Scout Raingutter Regatta for my older 2 boys. I so don't want to go -- my oldest son is the den that's hosting it so it's going to be a pain. Thankfully, one of his friends dad asked last night if I wanted him to pick him up. Yes, I sure do. He is already out the door. The thing doesn't start for another hour. They are doing a Gilligan's Island skit though so they needed to be there an hour before so they can practice, etc... then we have to help with the clean-up. It wouldn't be so bad except I have to go pick up food from the Angel Food (great program by the way open to anyone a bunch of food for $25!!), get my DD to cheerleading somehow and make sure there is at least 1 parent at the Raingutter Regatta the entire time. Let's just say my DH is a bit clueless for these things, plus I am organizing the next outing & I think I need permission slips. I didn't realize I needed permission slips until I was going over the stuff from The Field Trip Factory on when I need to call to confirm, etc... and saw a "MANDATORY" persmission slips, so I think they are required from the company not from our Den. The outing is within the next 2 weeks so I really need to get these out to the parents. I do have a plan, if everyone will listen & execute my plan as described it will all be good. That's the key getting them to listen & just do what I say. :teeth:

So far just my DD and I are going to do it!!!!! We are going to brave the weather. I am going to see how she does today since both kids have mild colds.

I am so sorry about your loss. We are total crazy dog people on this end and can only imagine how sad you all are. It is so hard. I always say it's so unfair that we love our pets so deeply but they live such a shorter life. Did you ever read the poem about the rainbow bridge. I will PM it to you. Again, I'm so sorry.

B]Tiggerrn2[/B] I had a Chow that I had to put down because of Bloat. I know a little how your feeling you don't have enough time to say goodbye, it happens to fast. :grouphug:

Bunchkin Glad to hear Hunter is doing better.

:wave2: to everyone I have to get a move on to much to do today.

Hi, everyone! :goodvibes

I'm stuck at work all weekend. But I guess that's what I get for having most of the week off

The Radio City show was wonderful! I'd gone in the past, but there were several new scenes. I just love watching the Rockettes dance!
8.gif

I have to confess, I'm definitely in the Christmas spirit now, and if I wasn't working all weekend, I'd be putting decorations up :teeth:

I can't believe Thanskgiving is almost here. And my favorite tradition of it is waking up in the morning and running out to buy the papers to see the ads :smooth: I buy both the Tribune and the Sun Times in case one or the other misses a few ads, which has happened to me in the past. Then I carefully plan my strategy for shopping the next day :teeth:

For those of you going to the Mag Mile lights, bundle up! I hear it's supposed to be chilly tonight!

Tiggerrn2 :grouphug: I'm so sorry about your doggie :guilty: I'm sure he's up there with Becky's kitty, and Toby's parrot, Shad. :goodvibes

Just me again...
Happy Saturday to you all....

So far the kids are doing OK. They just seem to have colds. The flu shot didn't seem to affect them in anyway either.

I have a ton to do today. We did a ton of pictures with the Disney Photo pass (which I highly recommend) and ordered all the pix already but you can also use this service of thiers where they use all your pix to make a DVD. Maybe some of you have seen it. It is kind of pricey but you can use all your photopass pix plus your own pix and then they add all these really neat graphics. Well, yesterday afternoon I get this email saying that the web page will be closing down until January 2007 so now I have to create the whole video today to get it done before they shut it down if I want the DVDs for Christmas!!!!! What a pain. It takes a lot of time to organize the pix and put them in an order of some kind. I am dreading it but I want the DVDs for gifts for all of us who went. With the two little ones it's hard to get a chunk of time like that to just sit and look through everything.

:mickeyjum I am bringing my DD at about 4:30 today downtown. I'll leave the DS home with his Dad. We probably shouldn't even be going at all but I would hate for DD to miss it. Too bad it's freezing :cold: !!!

Hope you guys are all doing good.
Hang in there!
Debbie
