Good Morning Everyone,
Well, it's cold but at least I see some sunshine...
I spent all night working on that DVD and then ended up just buying it without all the pix I wanted in it. I was so mad at them! I was so afraid of losing the video I had already made and so mad that they weren't letting me upload all my pix that would have been included in the DVD. Oh well. Of course no one has responded to my email about it yet either. If there was a phone number I would have called but there was no one to talk to so I just paniced and bought it (missing about 12 pix). They say that the site will be closed down today. You will still be able to get DVDs in 2007 from an updated site but I would have lost all my work that I already completed plus I wanted the DVDs for Christmas.

Slo..I feel so bad about all the Grandma emotions going on for you guys. I feel for all of you. Holidays are always challenging for this kind of stuff. I STILL miss my Grandparents and they have been gone for a long time.
I am so excited for you to have so much done in your house. I had all intentions of putting up Christmas but I can't even seem to get my house clean! Maybe I should stop talking on the computer and get some work done!

Hi all, Happy sunny Sunday
Both Chrissy and Matthew have colds. Hopefully my kids will make it through the next 2 days of school, as they have school Monday and Tues. and they are off Wed and on for Thanksgiving holiday. We are still working on their school projects due tomorrow, which the kids and I are SO not into doing Have a few things need to get done today.

Debbie- sorry to hear about the DVD pix issues . I'm so technically challenged, I wouldn't even know how to do one of those and where to go for DVD pics kind of movie thing you are doing. I hope somehow it will work out for you Glad you and your family had a good time at the parade last night and thanks for posting that CLTV will have the rebroadcast at noon today, as we were at church last night during the channel 9 live part at 6pm.
I forgot to thank you for the concerns earlier, between SIL and I. I can tell my SIL has a lot of high expectations of me for some reason I never did anything to her. Through the few yrs I have known her, she never once asked about my kids or even cared about anything about the kids or DH and I, tho we have asked her how's she doing, etc. She is a SIL thru marriage, my DH's brother's 2nd wife. She came into the picture when my kids were about 1 and a half yrs. old. Whatever her issues are, I told her I will pray for her. SIL told me she doesn't want my prayers, etc. Thanks for your concerns

Mac- Yes, we defintely need a Culvers meet!! If anyone is setting up a meet anytime soon,I think we are available Thanksgiving weekend and maybe the first couple of Sundays in December. Not avail the first 2 Saturdays of Dec- too much going on.
Hope your son can come home soon, keep us posted

Slo - I'm glad to see someone else puts trees in just about every room I have been known to put a mini tree in the bathroom. I have a small tree on my desk at work too. Hey, why not?? It keeps me in the spirit and keeps the evil mongrels away (aka - negative feeling coworkers )

I'm at work again, but at least today's a short day. I only work 4 hours (but get paid for 6 ) It's pretty quiet here. Guess everyone's watching the game at home. If I were home, I'd be cleaning, so I guess it's better I'm here because I can catch up on the boards and read my book- I've checked out about 5 from the library, all holiday fiction to get me in the spirit

I'm all up for that meet, but the only dates I can do it is Dec 2 (a Saturday) or Dec 17 (a Sunday). The other weekend days I work or have holiday stuff going on. I think meeting up there would be fun, though. It's close to Gurnee Mills, isn't it?

What a busy day for us! It just flew by!!

slo Sorry you're missing your grandmother. Holidays are the worst times to be without our loved ones. I hope the sweet potatos turn out extra yummy and give all of you a happy reminder of good times with her.

We put up several trees too! One in the living room. A fiber optic one in the family room. And the kids have one in their playroom too. And I just put a little jewel type tree in the powder room. I got it at American Sales last week.


rosemarie Sorry to hear that both the kids are sick. It is that time of year. Hope they feel better soon.

Debbie That's too bad about not getting all the pictures you wanted onto the dvd. What a bummer!! I sure do hope it all turns out wonderful though!!
Decorating is fun!! We have needed new furniture for a while. Well, since we moved into our new house last year.
Luckily for our family, my DH recently received a workers comp settlement that has been paying for all of my decorating and such. It's a nice way to end a year that was plagued by injuries, surgeries and him being out of work for months. Not to mention all the medical issues and surgeries I had too. It was a crappy year to say the least!!!!


macraven We could make a Culvers/Gurnee Mills mall meet for sure. My DH has been wanting to go to Bass Pro Shops any way!!



Did I tell you all that I had a follow up visit with my family doctor the other day? Well, I was telling her about how I went to the hospital back in mid-October for some chest pain. Which was, by the way, unrelated to my heart. She examined me and was pushing in the area I told her that was hurting on that occasion. And her lightly pushing was really hurting!!!
She thinks I have stones in my gallbadder. She gave me a script to go and get an MRI done for it. So I'm going to try to get this done this week.
But can you believe this!!!! What MORE can happen to me this year?? I'm hoping that it won't require a hospital visit. I have had ENOUGH of hospitals this year!!!
Tony said the same thing. He can't believe the luck I have had lately.


Well, I need to go and get Lauren to bed. Her head is burried in a Harry Potter book right now.

Good evening all. Thanks for all your thoughts and hugs on our loss of our family pet. DD has been busy making a dog house for her stuffed dog that looks like our dog and and creating stories about her. With the holidays on our doorstep, at least that should cheer her up.
Slo, I know how hard it is to get through the holidays. I lost my Dad 3 years ago, and the first year was rough for each holiday. But you will remember your Grandmother and smile with each memory, and it will get easier.
Bunchkin, it sounds like you are having a great time with the decorating. I wish we could do something now. Waiting on carpet installation. No decorating until that's done. Hopefully will be done week after Thanksgiving.
This will be the first year I have nothing done inside the weekend after Thanksgiving. I will try to get some outside stuff done. It is supposed to be nice this week.
Rosemarie, don't let the SIL Enjoy your holidays with your family and let her see how wonderfully happy you are and wollow in her own self whatever. We have no control over the happiness of others-only our own.
Mac glad to hear one son is hope. Wishing the other arrives soon.

Jedi - A little tree in the bathroom is a great idea, and I may do that. The girls bathroom (the main bathroom of the house) has a large sink with two bowls, and there's a nice space between them - a perfect space for a small tree Thanks for the idea!!!

*I'm sorry you might have gallstones You've been though so much I had gallstones when I was 25, and had to have my gallbladder removed (on my 25th birthday - it was a real crappy birthday as you can imagine). If you do have gallstones, take care of it right away. I didn't, and I became very very sick and had a one week hospital stay because of it. Sending lots of PD and hugs your way Keep us posted!!!
*How is Hunter doing with his cast? I sure hope he is still doing well
