BUNCHKIN I'm feeling lazy. After work I went straight to the school to vote. Lot's of people then I came home and starting picking up the mess from this morning that I didn't feel like cleaning. I guess someone freed the house elves again Tomorrow (my middled name lately) I'll go to pick it up. Alex is with his dad anyway.

Hi all-
My kids were off of school today for teacher's institute day. Our dist. has off every election day in Nov. every yr for as long as I can remember. I hate to say it, but I HATE when the schools are off on Election Day. I always have to drag the kids with me so I can vote . In my area, they don't use the schools for a voting place. Our suburb uses the township library, churches, clubhouses,etc. Not sure how many schools they use for polling places in my school dist., so not sure why teacher's institute day is on election day? I really think they don't want the moms to vote, that's my reasoning.
Anyways, I did drag the kids with me and did vote this afternoon at hte library . Then the kids took out DVDs, videos at the library. Took them to Burger King for lunch today(Matthew's choice).

Good evening all.
Slo I hope your cold is getting better. Did you get to see the Dr.? Perhaps you have bronchitis? Tis the season. Sending some your way in hopes you feel yourself soon.
Bunchkin, sometimes Lowes actually has some nice trees. I know it's not a place one would think of, but DH and I found a tall pencil tree there 2 years ago when I had to use the dining room for my Christmas tree due to our remodeling in the basement. No way was a wide 7ft tree going to fit in there. They had some really nice trees and competetive prices.
And I totally get what you are saying about clothes for girls. Went to the outlet mall in Michigan City today. DD loves Limited 2, but the clothes there today were too trashy for me. I did find some cute things and good buys at GapKids (jeans-just plain ordinary jeans!!!) and OshKosh. OshKosh always has kids clothes that look like kids clothes. Found some cute turtleneck sweaters for $8 and a skirt for $4.
Found some shirts for DH. Now I can throw away those old sweatshirts that I don't even want to see used for working outside anymore let alone coming back into the dirty clothes for a washing.
Found socks for me (I feel a bit like Charlie Brown. All I got was some socks-oh, that's rocks)
Anyway, hope we see some sun tomorrow. Going to moms to clean out her gutters. Fun Fun.
Our pt conferences are Thursday. Hope you all got good reports so far. Have a good night.
Hope the votes all make you happy. Yes, I did my civic duty.

Ok, gonna vomit now. Nancy Pelosi is now Speaker of the House
Kinda respect her she will be the first female Speaker ever, but I don't care for her. Fireworks are definitely going to fly for the next 2 yrs. between Pelosi, Bush, and Rumsfeld . Oye!
Kinda sad too, my buddy in my congessional 8th district, David McSweeney didn't win But I am very happy for those of you in the 6th congressional district in DuPage county, that Peter Roskam won!
Maybe my new career should be politics? Who knows

Can I tell you all how VERY disappointing I find the girl's clothing at practically every store in the mall?? Why do they think I want to dress my DD as if she is a teenager or adult??? Why do clothes have to have smart aleck sayings on them?? It really annoys me to no end!!!

Bunchkin - I get very annoyed with girls clothes too . Luckily, Stephanie still falls in the 4 - 6x category so her clothes are not as sassy yet. But, by the end of the year she'll move to the bigger clothes.

Tiggerrn2 - Thanks to you too for the I probably have an upper respitory infection, I get one almost every year. Ever since I got severe pneumonia when I was 15 I have never been the same. I get a cold and cough, cough, cough, cough, cough - it's very annoying!!!!

KimRaye - I couldn't agree more with the butt ads. I just don't want everyone looking at Stephanie's butt - I don't understand that style Therefore, they aren't allowed here either.

Happy Wednesday!!!

Let's all hope it gets as warm today as the weather people say it will!!

So I WAS going to go to look for a tree this morning, but all the running around for the past week has caught up with me. I have laundry to do and an upstairs to clean.

And the kids went back to school today. They were off Mon and Tues.

slo I wish Lauren was still in the under 6x clothing sizes still!
Those days of shopping were much easier!
I did get a email for 30% off at Gymboree so I will be heading there tomorrow. She always loves the clothes from there.

Tiggerrn My DD likes Limited 2 as well. But again, you really have to sort through the good and the bad there.
We just received at catalog with a coupon from there. And on one page the girl had her pants low with boxer shorts sticking out!! I totally do not like the showing of the underwear look!!!

I *really* need to get out more...honestly.

I read the no butt ads allowed & was thinking Bunchkin was being reprimanded for mention LL Bean and thought...HUH? that makes no sense. Then as I read the response the lightbulb went off. I guess with having a gymnast & part of her uniform for some performances are shorts that say "Tumble" on the back, I have gotten used to it in that area...then again as a gymnast mom I have gotten used to a lot of attire that in normal every day life would not be acceptable but in our world, it's normal.

Slo -- The High School Musical -- The Concert (so the big name stars, not just another group putting on the play) is going to be at the Allstate Arena on Jan. 19. IF all goes well & we get tickets we are going....it's just a bunch of stressed out parents on a thread of WHEN are the tickets going on sale? Some already have, some of us are freaking we are going to miss a pre-sale & the concert will end up sold out. It's interesting...it reminds me of trying to get Cinderella's table before opening or something.

However, I have been pre-approved by the person I called that day, and also if I buy directly from that place I'll probably end up using their mortgage co. because I'll get a lot of free upgrades. So I think I'm set as far as that goes. But thanks for your help!

I probably have it narrowed down to two, which are actually the same model. But one is a resale, and the other is from the builder and hasn't been built yet. So I have to see which one works out to be the best deal, and is the most like what I want, with the location and stuff. I'm hoping to to go back on Saturday to work on it. I can't believe it's moving so fast!

Now we can all look forward to hearing "Every Kiss Begins With K" for like the next 2 months! I can't believe it, but I think I'm down to 18 days! I am woefully behind on my packing. I tried to put a pair of capris on Megan this morning (that I had planned on packing) only to find they don't fit. They are too snug. Megan falls right on that border between slim and regular. I think she's tilted over to regular! Thank goodness I tried them on this morning! That way, I didn't have to find out when I got to Disney!

I have some laundry to do this evening and the suitcase is getting pulled out! Febreeze and then the packing begins. I need to start making a list!!

Sk8leigh: Don't worry about the full inbox thing! Write me back whenever you can, it's not a big deal! Well it's a big deal, but there's nothing we can do about it today right!??

It has a 2-car garage in the back, as well as a balcony. And there are a few parking spaces sprinkled around for guests.

Yeah, you just can't see the back. But I bet I would hardly be using the front door at all. I would probably mainly be using the garage.

I just found out that my boss isn't going to be my boss for much longer. They're doing a lot of reorganizing, so I'm going to be moved away from her and to someone else. I had worked for her at another job and she was the one who brought me here, so I'll miss her. But luckily the guy I'll be working for seems nice and pretty easy-going. I was afraid they would hire my pseudo-boss and make me work for him! I think I would have had to quit!!!

I just bought a new computer!!! FINALLY!!!
I've been using a *very* old Mac for years and years!! Can't upgrade a thing on it and I was having difficulty with tons of web sites and the like.

So I got a great deal on a DELL!! Should be here within a week!!!
I'm so excited!!!

Now maybe I can start posting pictures again!!!! YEAH!!!

Hi.. sorry I have been MIA but things are so hectic here... between work and taking the kids here and there and everywhere to scouts and football and cross country and united nations club and eagle project and Dh has been gone every week from Sept on and life in general..

anyway,, Eric's football team has won the playoffs against Mt Prospect and they are in the championship game this Saturday vs Schaumburg..it was supposed to be at 5 pm, then it got moved to noon , then rumor had it that it was Sunday so DH and Eric could go to a Scout weekend at Eagle cave but then the game got moved to 2:45 pm.. why did the game get moved around 'cause FREMD won last weekend and they play YORK this Saturday at 7 pm..

go figure..
