WDW Day 4 October 15th :sunny:

On this day we went to AK :simba: and had a fun breakfast in Dinoland.

Our waiter was a hoot and the kids loved seeing the characters. :rotfl2:

We made a ton of ADR’s so that’s why we decided to upgrade to the DDP. We kind of felt like we were getting lunch or breakfast for free by doing so. popcorn:: Plus I brought home a ton of Mickey Rice Crispy treats with my left over snacks! :mickeybar I still can’t believe I lost 5 lbs considering how we were constantly eating but we really run around when we are there.

Here's the new BIG ONE! It was awesome!!!!!! No kids on this one!

DSC03210.jpg

My DD :scared: did not enjoy Bug’s Life but the baby could have cared less! DD of course loved the safari plus the raft ride which she was finally tall enough for.

After making sure to hit the key attractions we decided to try and use the GF pool.

It was my parent’s 40th Anniversary and we had reservations at Citrico’s for dinner. It was very nice but all I do is worry the kids are going to misbehave so I’m all stressed. No pic from here. Must be on someone else’s camera.

Thanks for checking my trip out! 3 more days to come...

O.K. I can't post pictures, but I can give the report.

Day One.
18 hours , 5 states, 3.5 tanks of gas, 2 monsters, and 2 extra pitstops then we arrive at Saratoga Springs. Shopping at DTD and some cool new pirate stuff in the shops.
Day Two.
It was EPCOT in the morning and the cool thing was both my son who is 6 and daughter who is 4 were able to ride test track for the first time and love it. We ate at the Garden Grill which was O.K. We decided that the next time that we go here we're just going to walk around the worlds and just snack on all the different places. In the afternoon we hit MGM and both kids were able to ride Tower of Terror and my son was scaried to death but my little princess LOVED it and went on 2 more times. All in all it was a good day for everyone.
Day Three.
The morining started out with the Animal Kingdom. The first thing we hit was Everst which was cool and it was my sons first rollercoaster and we had the front car, way cool!!! Scared the crap out of my son again. we started out for Dinasour and then we saw they took out Tarzan Rocks and that was one of my favorite show, well anyway on our way to dinasour where I scared my son again(do we see a pattern here) and my daughter loved it. We did the other stuffand then on to the Magic Kingdom. Captin Jack was to cool and hit all the other things and I was standing in line for Space mountain and looking at my son and the look on his face was one of 'I really can't take any more of this' so we didn't ride it and went to Ohana for dinner which was good. After that we went to the Contempory to catch a pontoon boat for the Wishes criuse now that was well worth the money. The view was incredible you really get to see how big the fireworks really are, and they are BIG. We had some more time so we went back to the magic kingdom and hit pirates, pilharmagic, and peter pan.
This was one busy day.
Day Four.
On our way to the Disney Cruise Line and that report will come a little later.

Good Tuesday morning everyone!! :surfweb:

Today I am going to my Broker to pay them my starting money - I'm feeling a little nervous, like cold feet, and I don't know why. I never get this way, but with this I am - I don't get it :confused3 I guess this takes a good couple of hours, so this is how I am spending my morning.

Becky - I agree about the cold coming to soon :cold:

Bunchkin - How was your PT appt yesterday? I'm sorry your feet are still bothering you :guilty: Sending lots of PD your way :wizard:

Debbie - Your TR and photos are great :) !!! Your children are very cute!!!
**I'm sorry about your DD having a bladder infection while on vacation - poor thing!!! :guilty:

Well I guess I should start getting ready for my day - have a good day everyone!!

good tuesday morning chicagoland homies.

is it cold enough for you yet??

brrrr, it's too cold for me. it was spitting snow up here yesterday late afternoon. not looking forward to that.

this is the second day i am home and not working. work is slow this week and i wasted the entire day yesterday.

still have to go thru one suitcase where i tossed my receipts on the motherland trip. i go through them so i can remember where i was on what day based on the date and time of the resturants. 14 days down there gets me confused on what i did until i find my notes of the trip.

still looking for that little notebook where everything is in it.

sandy, you wil do fine today. i know you will !

hope all will have a great day today.

Hello fello Chicagoans!! :sunny:
At least the sun is out today!! :teeth:

Not much going on here today.
DH has had my cell phone the past few days or so, and it's annoying me. :teeth: His phone had croaked and he was renting one until our contract was up with our current cell company. But he forgot he needed to turn the loaner in until like the day before. And he was supposed to handle finding a new cell company for us. But did he.......you know the answer! :rotfl:
So on Saturday I did the research and found us a new cell company and got new phones picked out and shipped Fed Ex to us. They should be here tomorrow. But I keep worrying that something will happen with me and the kids while we are out on the road and I'll have no phone. Crazy, I know! But I worry!

I also ordered the Firefly phone for Lauren. It was FREE!!! :cool1: It will be a Christmas present for her. So shhhh, it's a suprise. She's been asking for a phone for a year. I can't tell you how many friends of hers have one. :sad2: And we gave in. At least with a Firefly phone she can only call people we designate, and no one else.

slo Good luck today! I'm sure everything will go fine. ::yes::
I get nervous too when dealing with new situations. We all do! :goodvibes

PT was non-eventful. The therapist can't do much for me until I see the doctor, so I won't be going back to PT until after I see him.
Right now I have no signs of tightness in my foot or AC tendons. The cause of my pain is unknown at this point. And the therapist doesn't want to over work an area that doesn't need the work done on it. But yet I'm in pain. So I'll have to wait until I see the doctor on Nov 2 to see what he can do. I'm thinking I'm going to need an MRI, the therapist agrees.

macraven DO NOT mention snow!!! Not yet at least!! ;) That is what happens when you live in the North Pole area of Illinois!! :rotfl:

bigben Thanks for sharing your trip with us here!
:thumbsup2

4 days until the Pumpkin Meet!!! Please check the link in my siggie for info! More people are going than have posted on that thread, so don't be discouraged thinking not a lot of people are going! And for those that haven't posted yet, please do so if you get a chance. That way everyone will know who is going! Thanks!!

I have the same thing...except we just did a family plan (not Firefly). I would have LOVED the Disney Mobile if it weren't all roaming charges (at least that is the way it looks to me). We shall see how it goes. Now I'm in a quandry if I should give the phone early to DD or wait until Christmas if she makes the cheerleading squad. If she makes the squad, I can see where the phone will be very useful, especially on game days when I'm not 100% sure when the games will end. We will know Friday if she makes the squad or not, but I'm still waffling back & forth which is the better way to do it.

Give it early & tell her it's a Christmas present because it will be more useful for cheering than waiting until after the season is over but then I want it to be for Christmas. Decisions, decisions, decisions. :confused3 Of course, if she doesn't make it then obviously, that makes the decision for me. Hee Hee.

Becky I hope your DD makes the cheerleading squad!! :cheer2: :cheer2:

We also have the family plan, but at DD's age we prefer she have the Firefly so we know who she can call and can't!!! :teeth:

We were interested in Disney Mobile too. But decided not to go with them for several reasons.
1. They do not have store locations in our area. So if I have a problem and want to go in and speak to a human, it would have required a plane ride.
2. Roaming charges!!! NOT good!
3. Who is providing their service??? Never got a clear answer out of them as to that!! Whose antenna towers where they going to use??
4. Coverage location too small. Again roaming charges!

I liked all the Disney themes and music that was available, but that's not enough to make me switch. :teeth:

Bunchkin -- those were my reservations too.

I absolutely *loved* the fact that as a parent you basically had total control. You could set the times the phone is on & off, block numbers, allow numbers, restrict pretty much anything, plus the GPS feature. I just loved everything about it except you're right, I couldn't tell WHO was providing service, it appeared 99% of the country is roaming charges.

We are just going to have to trust DD to not go insane with it. I don't think she will but you never know...it's a good testing ground I suppose. We can always take it away from her if it's a problem (and the fact that I think my DD has been asking for at least 2 years, I don't think she will want to do anything to get it taken away!) We have detailed billing so we will see any & every number she calls/receives, etc... I was holding off but it just is becoming clearer & clearer it's needed with everything she's involved in. It's practically impossible to find a pay phone anymore (I don't even think her school HAS one), I know our park district took theirs out recently.

Good afternoon Chicagoland!!! :sunny: :thumbsup2 Finally!!!!! I was beginning to think we'd never see the sun again.
I was thinking the kids turned the bedroom light on in my room this morning to get me out of bed, low and behold. The sun was beaming in the window. Just made my day.
DS is better today. Bouncing around the house and eating so off to school he went. No fever since yesterday late afternoon. No clue what that was all about. Normally, I like to keep them home an extra day, but he would've been going crazy here. He hates to miss school. He's a social bird like my DD.
Debbie-love the pix. Do you pay for photobucket services or just use as a spot to put them and pay only if you order prints from them?
Love the trip reports here. Eventually, I will tell you all about our adventures and some misadventures.
Busy trying to clean up from the last week of not being in the house and still putting away items from vacation.
Have a great day!!! :)

Tiggerrn2 Photobucket is free to download. You just have to register and it converts all your picks into those silly little IMG's so you can copy and paste onto your posts. Like you said, then you can buy prints and other items too.
:sunny: Thank Goodness the sun is out!! Wow, it helps!
Kim...nice meeting you this morning!
BigBen Nice report. Are you sure you can't post pix yet? Also, my DD went on one big ride(BTM) and it ruined her! She said "Mommy. that was an adult roller coaster!!! :furious:
She was mad and then there was no getting her on Splash Mountain. At least she enjoyed the little coaster in Toon Town plus she went on just about everything else.
Hope everyone is having a nice day. I am again avoiding my chores by talking to you guys! :rolleyes1
Naughty.
