John Ratzenberger' s Made in America - Budweiser
Join us as we catch a pop fly at Nocona Sporting Goods in Nocona, Texas,
down a can of red and white at the Anheuser Busch brewery in St. Louis,
Missouri, and then head off to Tomorrowland to see why the world of Disney
is a small world after all. (TVKirby note - The segment of the show is the
last 5 minutes or so. It is really just a short history of Animatronics.
Lots of footage we've seen before <Wathel Rogers in the Carousel of Progress
programming harness, etc.>. Segments are shown from all the parks and going
back 50 years. Expedition Everest's Yeti is shown, but commentary says it
opened in 2005 instead of the correct year of 2006. Lucky the Dinosaur is
also shown. Worth recording for the completist. Interesting, but not
essential viewing.)

On Sunday October 29, 2006 from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM on the Disney Channel is
Tower of Terror
Internet Movie Data Base summary says - Based on the ride at Disney/MGM
Studios, Florida, this Disney made-for-TV film has Steve Guttenberg as a
tabloid reporter who wants to write legitimately again. He investigates an
old woman\'s story behind the famous disappearance of five including a
beloved child actress that occurred at the Hollywood Hotel in the 1930s. The
film starts out when 5 people walk into an elevator, but something goes very
wrong. The elevator collapses 11 floors and the five people roam around the
hotel as ghosts. 60 years later, reporter Buzzy (Steve Guttenberg) and his
niece Anna (Kirsten Dunst) are trying to find out the mystery of the hotel.
An old lady named Abigail tells them that if they find a belonging of each
person on the elevator they will be free from the hotel. But really Abigail
wants to destroy every ghost in the hotel. (TVKirby note - This rather
cheesy movie did use the original Disney/MGM Studios attraction for some of
the sets)
